Great Customer Success

It was great to recently hear from our customer success manager how great our our use of the platform is and hear them explain back to us what we have done that could be a good example to others. It's easy to just continue to do events and not really think about what you are doing that is different and new. It's great to know they notice and see what they are doing with the platform, and to then take the time out to let us know we are doing a great job. It's more than just an events platform.

£100 giftcard not received after 2 months and 12 emails

I participated in a demo with a promise of £100-pound gift card. They never sent me such gift cards for over 2 months and 12 email exchanges. Still not been received. I can provide the names of the contact person handling this to you. Should we rely on the service of such an inefficient company?

Saves Money, Time, and Effort

The various platforms have not only saved me time planning events (and not making errors re-entering registration details), but also have made it easier for attendees to locate information and details (which means less calls and emails from me answering questions). Incorporating CrowdCompass into a 150 person event saved over 120 hours of work (3 people x 40 hours each) and $23,000 in printing and assembly costs (most binders were left behind post-event in previous years). Love that Cvent is always willing to listen to feedback and incorporate updates based on evolving planner needs.

A Feature Rich Event Management Platform

Cvent is a robust platform with a lot of different options for event management of all kinds. My organization utilizes its services to support in-person conferences and webinars throughout the calendar year. There are many options for building out the registration, developing the event's website and sending event-related emails to invitees and registrants.

The diversity of Cvent's options can sometimes be a downfall, as there are some features my organization doesn't utilize. The valuable functions can get lost in the menus full of other options. Thankfully, I've worked with the platform for several years now, so I'm reasonably well-versed in what is helpful to me and what is not, but I think there can be a steep learning curve for more casual users.

We have regular check-ins with our Cvent representative to ensure that our needs are being met, and this allows us to chat about features or complications that would enhance our experience using these tools. It seems like, understandably, Cvent has been spending a lot of energy building out tools for virtual and hybrid events recently. This is not useful to our organization as our large events are strictly in-person only, which has not benefited our uses.

Cvent is an essential tool for management of our large conferences and occasional webinars. It is a daily resources to monitor the registration of our events and to communicate with potential and confirmed attendees.

They offer seamless event management…

They offer seamless event management from beginning to end. We hosted our first event with them August 2022 and we are so glad we switched to using them. It is so nice to have one software that manages everything from registration, website, survey, event app, exhibitors, speakers, etc. I saves us so much time.

Cvent Event Management software is extremely helpful in managing the registration process for all types of clients and audiences. It is helpful in communicating directly with attendees, managing hotel and travel requests and pulling reports pre and post-event.

Hideous Company - Buyer BEWARE!!!

Hideous company, zero customer service, zero ethics and atrocious product. We ended up developing our own system because Cvent just didn’t work, yet their legal team kept pushing for full payment - tens of thousands for a product that we never used because it just didn’t work!

This app is terrible

This app is terrible. Classic bait and switch with the initial selling point then the salesman was fired. So we were stuck with an app that could do nothing we needed. Fast forward and we are suddenly contact by a new team saying they are switching to a new app. The "trainers" have no clue what they are doing and we ended up playing with the app for 8 hours on our own to learn the basics. The manager "Tim" is equally as useless and they will not answer questions or flat out dance around them. This whole experience has been terrible and we wish we never went with them. But we are looking into switching to Eventus and they seem to suit our needs so much better.

We recently transitioned to Cvent…

We recently transitioned to Cvent Attendee Hub for one virtual event and our in-person events. We have been rolling our attendees into an app experience to reduce the amount of paper at the events and to improve the attendee experience. We have been able to effectively communicate real-time changes and news and have been satisfied with the backend experience on our team.

Attendee hub …

The back end buildout off the attendee hub is very easy and quick. Cvent has an amazing support team who will sit and walk you through any custom cards and updates.

The support team is great

The Cvent Event Management's support team is great, they are available 24/7 and they always guido to the solution, that is for me the best part of being a Cvent customer, feeling always supported. The platform is very easy to use and easy to customise, and the portal you can use to share reports is very helpful.

Easy to use, but video streaming needs work

Overall, the Attendee Hub and Cvent platform have been a huge upgrade from our previous virtual conference platform provider. The hub is easy to build out and customize and very easy for attendees to navigate. Our main complaint has been with the consistency of video streaming. We haven't really been able to reliably use the built in video streaming software on the platform and have mostly been redirecting attendees to watch in a Zoom Room. This takes a lot away from using the hub since attendees aren't actively watching sessions from the hub but rather from within Zoom. Otherwise, customer service/support have been great and the attendee hub has so much potential.

CVENT should face class action lawsuit from event companies for its actions during covid

We are an event organizer that has been largely inactive due to COVID. Our customers are not comfortable attending/sponsoring events due to the COVID variants. We are a customer of CVENT, a relationship that has deteriorated rapidly since the start of the pandemic. During start of COVID in 2020, CVENT sales people commenced aggressive phone calls from 9am- to as late as 1am ET; as many as 20 phone calls per day over the period of one week attempting to sell services. Phone calls at late hours were deemed intrusive and offensive. During these calls, the CVENT sales person made comments that “CVENT needed money,” “CVENT needs to sell new services.” CVENT sales people calling my cell phone as late as 1am ET. 10 phone calls from Lindsay, a sales person, between 9pm-1am ET. Additional CVENT person called and noted that “CVENT is losing money, having severe financial difficulties with event clients” but its private equity “is diversified and able to counter the losses.” CVENT has crossed the line during COVID. Any other media/event companies reading this message with a similar experience may want to consider litigation. In addition, any lawyers reading this message may have a case against CVENT for harassment, unethical tactics, threats, etc against its event customers during COVID. Completely out of line.
