When I was looking for a property to rent I wasn't very hopeful ,as I wasn't very lucky with other agents.
Ladies at this branch were very helpful and polite , in no time I had viewings on several properties. They have organised all the checks and everything went smoothly. moving in was easy.great communication between office and landlord as well. Cannot thank them enough for the speedy and easy process.
The Fulwood team were very tenacious

Awful experience
Awful experience! Requested property details, didn’t get them went into the Longridge branch & was told I’d be sent links for a number of rental properties - that was Friday am it’s now Tuesday evening - they don’t give a toss! Had experience (poor) as a landlord in the past - wouldn’t have happened in n Chris Dewhurst’s time! Manager totally uninterested!

Mislead, Lie and mis representation of a property ie Garage at Westway Court Preston
I made an offer of the full asking price for a garage on Westway Court in Preston Lancashire, The property was advertised as freehold, and i asked the agent to confirm of which she said it was freehold, My offer was accepted and i started to look for a solicitor to complete as fast as possible , whilst waiting i did a quick land registry search, and the property come up leasehold and with a freehold, i phoned the agents and over the phone the agent asked another lady working there what was the title, and she said definatly freehold, so i instructed my solicitor to proceed , but telling him what i found out at land registery, im very lucky to have used a local firm i have dealt with in the past, to cut story short this property was leasehold, with the estate managment company holding the freehold, and that there was that many clauses in the lease it is not worth buying, the upkeep would have been a proportion amount for the whole estate, also the person selling was not the legal registered owner, when i phoned and spoke to the agent Mrs Fowler she said " i told you that you have to do your own checks confirm " on my mothers life she never said this, the truth was twisted and that they are not bothered if the mislead with the advertising , i therefore sent them my solicitors cost througth mis repesentaion , and give a due date of which is up, i could proceed through small claims but this company are really not worth my time, this review is more value than £140 of which was very cheap and lucky that my solicitor found the info out on the first day, not only do this company mislead what they are selling, they then add a clause in there contract that take what they tell you with a pinch of salt, totally unprofessional , and to top it all they try and twist what they have said to make you look the nasty one, they have now changed the garage to leashold at my expense for doing there job for them, if they was not sure of the title they should have said they dont know, trust this company at your own risk, dreadful service from Mrs Fowler of Dewhurst Homes

Well what can I say .. I had my house online for 9 months with a different agency who were completely unreliable, lied and didn't pre qualify potential buyers for my house. I have had my house up for sale with dewhurst Penwortham for only 1 week... miraculously they found a viewer in less than 4 hours of my house being online and then it tool them just 1 whole week to find a buyer for my property. Tom was incredibly positive about selling my property he took amazing photos and the marketing and read up was amazing. Rita was also outstanding she was knowledgeable and thoughtful and gave me incredible advice and guidance on what to do and restored my faith in estate agents. Every one I have spoken to in the Penwortham office has truly cared about helping me to sell and it shows in the result. I would never go anywhere else again and would recommend them to anyone. What a service 👏
Do not go with this company
Dewhurst Homes are selling a property that I am interested in.
However, on viewing the photos that they have taken of the property, I am appalled.
Furniture falling apart. Crumpled beds. The outside is a disgrace.
They have photographed the garden and 'shoved' a lawnmower under a plastic table. Disgusting. With photos like that, the property will never sell.
If I was the owner, I would be mortified and change agents. What an unprofessional outfit!!!!

If I could give 0 stars I would. This is one of the most unprofessional companies I have ever come across. There is one man bringing the whole company down. Avoid.

AVOID! AWFUL SERVICE THAT COST US THOUSANDS.
We lost tens of thousands of pounds and countless hours and stress invested to deal with the mess caused having trusted their recommendation for new tenants. They did sloppy financial background checks and the tenants went immediately into arrears paying intermittently in cash when it suited them. At one point they were over 6 months in arrears.
Between July 2020 and October 2022 I have spent £3,000 in legal and bailiff fees to evict the tenants with minimal support from Dewhursts. In the end the tenants left, 2 days before the bailiffs were due to arrive, with £3,565 in rent arrears.
During the tenancy Dewhursts did minimal inspections which allowed the production of drugs and significant damage to the property. We had to pay £2,000 for clearance and gardening but the overall costs to reinstate the property to the pre-rental state is estimated at over £10,000.
By far the biggest financial impact was that it delayed the sale of the house by over 12 months, from March 2022, then the property and mortgage market was healthy to May 2023 when it was most definitely not.
Dewhursts service throughout was poor. I usually had to chase replies and as a final act of incompetence they didn't register the electricity meter reading upon checkout which led hours on the phone with Scottish Power to resolve.
The management are not interested and simply recommend we submit a complaint with the ombudsman. Whilst it has changed ownership the same people who caused the mess are still working there.
Avoid, avoid, avoid.

After 3 different valuations I opted for Dewhurst homes, Penwortham. I can assure you, you will not be disappointed. Rita Swarbrick kept me updated with feedback on viewings. My property sold within a month. Rita kept me informed on the progress of the sale. I cannot praise her enough.
I would highly recommend them.

Dreadful Estate agent
Dreadful Estate agent. Refused to let us view a house, even though we are in a strong market where we would sell within days. Refused to put forward a written offer we made. Lied about vendor instructing them only to allow viewings from buyers who had already sold (we contacted vendor directly who confirmed this). We offered £100,000 more than asking price, so vendor would have seriously considered this had they known about it. This estate agent is riding on the inflated market and wants an easy life - sales with minimum of effort, at the expense of buyers and sellers alike.
Disappointed
Although we parted on good terms and the team are friendly enough on the phone, we were let down on the sale of my mother's property. Because of them we lost a lot of money on the property, it was eventually sold at a joke of a price, they reduced asking price after just two months, even though we were having many viewings, they didn't take any responsibility or care regarding things going wrong with bathroom and balcony doors while trying to sell, and kept putting offers way less than 'offers over' price, they could have got a much higher price for such a beautiful apartment. When we asked them to make video of property as is quite common they refused. At times they were quite disrespectful by to us, main reason they were so 'nice' towards completion date is they wanted us to post a good review, even my partner said this was not deserved. They did not attempt to get a better offer, and no other estate agents would reduce asking price by £10,000 after two months when property was generating a lot of interest already. They let us and my mother's legacy down.
Very poor service for managing rented…
Very poor service for managing rented properties. Inspections didn’t identify things that needed fixing in the property. Upon check out the tenant had stolen fixtures and fittings which were not picked up by the agent doing the checkout even though they were listed.
Fulwood Lettings
I used Dewhurst Homes to rent a property in Fulwood and it is the best letting agent I have ever used. All staff were friendly and helpful. My main point of contact was Vanisha who was a pleasure to deal with throughout my 10 month tenancy.

Why on earth would you put a property up for sale with out having a conversation prior.Never come across such an unprofessional bunch of arrogant conceited people riding on the property wave of demand. Avoid at all costs
Avoid at all costs. Terribly customer service, nobody cares about the rented property falling apart. Their solution resume in cleaning products to fix anything, doesn’t matter if you log a fault, they don’t even bother to investigate, they prefer to assume it’s your fault.
