Everything exactly as promised, spot on service
From looking around the showroom without any pressure, to discussing the details, arranging a quote and instal date it was a good experience. A date was agreed and the guys arrived on the date agreed, no need for chasing or checking. The team arrived lots of dust sheets and got to work. Three hours later we had a new marble fireplace and electric fire. We were shown the controls. Every part of the service was spot on

Terrible will never order from you again or recommend you. I knew about crystal fires 3 weeks ago through through a different supplier. Chased you everyday for an update. Have been told different things by different ppl. If you knew about them Monday, why have I only been told days later after chasing everyday and no offer to try and help although discounts are offered elsewhere . Abysmal service would never ever ever recommend. It’s a like it or lump it situation leaving a pensioner stressing! Terrible. Quick enough to take her money! Still waiting for refund

We can see that our team provided you with the following response, after being notified that the supplier for the fire in question is going out of business and that your chosen gas fire would be unavailable:
"Firstly, I’d like to sincerely apologise for the frustration and inconvenience caused. I completely understand why you feel disappointed with how this situation has been handled, especially given the time and effort you’ve spent chasing updates.
To clarify, we were only made aware of the situation with Crystal Fires from Monday. The information we received regarding which orders could still be fulfilled was inconsistent and we only received confirmation today of the orders that Crystal Fires were fulfilling and unfortunately your order was not on this list.
We were not provided with accurate or reliable stock availability, which meant we were unable to confidently offer a suitable replacement from their remaining stock.
That said, I do appreciate your point, and I’m sorry that this was not communicated to you more clearly or proactively. As requested, we will now process your refund in full. This will be issued back to your original payment method.
If you would still like assistance sourcing an alternative fire, we would be more than happy to help and ensure a smoother experience",

We were looking for a new hearth and…
We were looking for a new hearth and the only one’s we could find was black which we didn’t want until we found you website which offered the one we were looking for and so I placed the order for what we required and it was so easy to do and we are now waiting for everything to arrive and then fitted.

A must visit Store.
We found the choice and quality of fireplaces on display was amazing. We had been looking for a new fire, and been to so many stores, but nothing had stood out. Direct fireplaces made our decision very easy. Within 30 minutes with help from the fantastic staff we bought a fireplace with marble surround. A must visit store.

Terrible after service
This is the first time I have ever written a negative review on a purchase from a company, however I feel impelled to do so as a warning to customers. Gas fire, purchased in a ‘sale’ in January. Fitted last week and we did not open the packages until this point. When opened the gas engineer pointed out two dents. He continued to fit the fire due to his time restraints, he stated that companies are generally very good with these situations. I contacted Direct Fire Places today, provided them with the required images of the damage. They have refused to offer me any support and to provide a replacement for the damaged piece. Excuses such as.. I purchased it six weeks ago, I should have notified them straight away of which I have done so today as soon as it was brought to my attention (I have been away from home during our renovation work). I will never buy or recommend this company. Typical in being keen to take £850 from me without any efficient customer service after care.

Fireplace suite took a long time to arrive and when it did the surround was wrong. Took a further ten days to get the correct surround delivered.

We are very sorry for any inconvenience. We appreciate that, as you mention, there was a delay in delivery of the fireplace suite and the surround was incorrect upon receipt.
As we're sure you can appreciate, both the initial delay and the time taken for the new surround to be delivered were due to factors beyond our control, as the goods in question are dispatched from our supplier. In both instances, our team worked to resolve the reported issues ASAP through coordination with the supplier, and can only apologise that it took as long as it did to have the complete fireplace in situ.
