Went on the 3-day Isle of Skye tour, and everything was perfect. Scotland is beautiful, of course, but Dave made everything much better. He was fun, informative, and a very safe driver.
The bed and breakfast Caol na Mara was very pleasant, a nice room, great breakfast and everything was very clean.
I would definitely go on another trip with Discover Scotland Tours, especially with Dave.

Our driver Colin was wonderful! He was very friendly and accommodating. He knew a lot of information on almost any given subject and was always able to give his best answer and come back to it later if he didn't know. I highly recommend discover Scotland tours to anyone looking for a stress free way to see more of Scotland. We couldn't have been more happy with our trip and truly have Colin to thank for making it a smooth and relaxing trip full of interesting information. Thank you!

Tour guide/driver was entertaining, good balance between educating and music, stops were well timed, great conversations. Safety is paramount and always felt safe. Had a lot of fun, and learned a lot about things - tourism… highly recommend for anyone thinking about this tour.

Los lugares que se visitan en el tour son simplemente maravillosos, el hecho de que el guía te diga la historia de cada lugar te hace sentir más adentrada a la historia. El servicio es muy amable, y muy puntual, lo cual se aprecia para respetar tiempso e itinerarios. Lo único que podría mejorar es que tal vez podrían agregar lugares con una distancia más cercana, ya que en un punto la distancia de uno a otro se siente como si uno se la pasara en el bus. Pero reitero, los lugares que se visitan valen totalmente la pena. El hospedaje que me recomendaron estuvo bastante bien, tenían cocina, lavandería lo cual se aprecia mucho ya que te permite comprar alimentos y economizar.

My family has enjoyed the Glenfinnan tour twice. Both were wonderful experiences. The guides were equally exceptionally personable, helpful and full of knowledge and history. The day had well time stops. we enjoyed the smaller 15-passenger vehicles. Customer service in advance of trip was helpful and accommodating. I'd highly recommend Discover Scotland during a visit.

Our 5day Inverness and Isle of Skye was a fantastic trip to see the Highlands. Scott was up front driving (extremely well) and kept us interested in the history and the landmarks with fun and humour. All amazing. I would do this tour again and recommend it to others.

Comfortable coach, friendly guide
The guide's enthusiasm was appreciated, but the near-constant commentary made it difficult to have conversations among ourselves for most of the trip. It would work much better to save explanations for the true highlights rather than narrating the entire journey.
The time at each stop also felt too short, much of it was spent on the coach itself, leaving little opportunity to actually explore the areas we visited.

Just got back from the 4 day tour to the Isle of Mull. I really enjoyed the tour. Gary the tour guide did an amazing job. He was very knowledgeable of Scottish history and he went the extra mile. He even took me to see the Highland cows up close which I was delighted about. I would highly recommend this tour and the company. I hope to travel with Discover Scotland again in the future.

Kyle was excellent! Such a nice and fun guy… he knew a lot about everything and made the tour fun and interesting all day long. I highly recommend the tour!

Our Tour guide was knowledgeable, made the trip very interesting with her wise jokes. Karen was friendly and helpful. The places we saw were incredible within the short space of time. Karen drove very safely!!!

It being my first overnight tour ever, it was amazing all around. From the organizing, to the accommodation chosen, the
communication(both prior and during the tour)
and the guide Billy!! We also got very lucky with weather the whole time we were there. Yes, the only con to tours is that you will not always have enough time to eat,shop and explore so you must choose wisely depending on where you are but being able to have someone else do the driving and keep us entertained the whole trip was pretty cool. We also did get lucky that our group only had 7 of us and made the experience even better but even with its max of 16 wouldn't have been so bad.

The tour had everything I was hoping for. In May 2026, I went on a 3-day tour to the Isle of Skye. Our tour guide Johnny was awesome. He is very knowledgeable and very attentive. He gladly shared many insights on Scottish history and culture, in an effortless, calm and casual way, very authentic. He also gave useful advice on bathroom options, opening times, and where to get the best cakes.

Wir haben mit Discover Scotland Tours im Mai 2026 eine 5-Tagestour per Bus in den schottischen Highlands gemacht.

Gary war ein sehr guter, lokaler Guide, außerordentlich orts- und geschichtekundig, 110% pünktlich, witzig und immer bemüht, uns die bestmögliche Erfahrung zu bieten. Seine Fahrkünste auf den engen, gewundenen Straßen haben uns besonders beeindruckt und wir haben uns immer zu 100% sicher gefühlt.

Neben den Erklärungen zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten, die er charmant präsentiert hat, lieferte uns Gary auch Hintergrundinfos zum Leben in Schottland, zur Geschichte, auch zu den politischen Verhältnissen, Unabhängigkeitsbestrebungen, Brexit, etc. aus der Perspektive eines persönlich Betroffenen - was man vielleicht sonst nicht so ohne Weiteres bekommt.

Dabei war er aber nicht aufdringlich und hat zwischendurch auch mal einfach nur Ruhe gegeben und leise Musik mit Schottlandbezug gespielt (unterschiedliche Genres, nicht nur 24/7 Dudelsack ;-) ). Das war für mich und meine Frau sehr angenehm, denn dauerndes Geplapper von Guides nervt uns in der Regel eher - da hat Gary mE die perfekte Balance gefunden. Immer wieder gab es kleine Überraschungen, vor allem beim Stop an den 365 Hügeln ;-).

Sein Glaswegian-Akzent war für uns als nicht-Muttersprachler am ersten Tag zwar noch etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig, aber nachdem man sich ein wenig eingegroovt hatte, war Gary gut zu verstehen.

Die Tour selbst war extrem interessant - recht intensiv, aber nicht überfordernd, und die Auswahl der Ziele hat für uns gut gepasst.

Der Bus war praktisch neu und sehr gut ausgestattet. Wir hatten zudem das Glück, dass die Tour nur etwa zur Hälfte gebucht war, dadurch gab es mehr als genug Platz für alle...

Wir können Discover Scotland Tours und insbesondere Gary als Reiseleiter uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen! Der Preis war für die gebotene Leistung sehr ok. Und Schottland sowieso: Ein wunderschönes Land mit durchwegs freundlichen Menschen. Wir kommen wieder...

We had an absolutely fantastic experience on the Glenfinnan Viaduct Tour from Glasgow with Discover Scotland Tours!

The entire trip was beautifully organized, with breathtaking views throughout the Highlands it truly felt like a once-in-a-lifetime experience. What made it even more special was our tour guide, Colin. He was exceptional friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about Scotland. His storytelling, humor, and attention to detail made the journey so engaging and enjoyable from start to finish.

Colin went above and beyond to ensure everyone was comfortable and having a great time. Thanks to him, the tour felt personal and memorable rather than just another sightseeing trip.

We would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Scotland, and if you’re lucky enough to have Colin as your guide, you’re in for a treat!

Colin was our tour guide for the three-day tour, and he was absolutely fantastic. He was a safe and confident driver, kept the group on schedule, and navigated seamlessly throughout the trip without any issues. He also provided excellent dinner recommendations and was very helpful in securing boat tickets for the Loch Ness cruise, which we greatly appreciated. The van was always clean and comfortable, and it was clear that Colin genuinely took the time to consider the needs of the group. I especially appreciated that he proactively asked if we needed rest stops rather than waiting for guests to request them.

One area that could make the experience even better would be incorporating a bit more storytelling and Scottish folklore throughout the tour. Colin mentioned tales of fairies, selkies, and local folklore, and I would have loved hearing even more of those stories and legends during the journey.

Overall, it was a wonderful experience. I would absolutely recommend Discover Scotland Tours and would gladly request Colin as our guide again in the future.

Scott, our driver and guide made our tour awesome, he was amazing. Everything went well. Very comfortable transportation and the location of pickup and drop off was very convenient.
