Great coffee that I've been drinking for years, however, the new jars are totally useless and in accessible for people who have arthritis, peripheral neuropathy, and other issues with their hands.
There isn't a jar or bottle opener that will stay on the lid because of the bad design.
At the least, the jar should have have some form of grip like a knurled grip or rubber.
The only way I find is to use a screwdriver (I'm over 18), lever the top off, and pour into another container which defeats the object of having an airtight seal.
Please change design - the old jars were perfect, these jars are useless.
The compensation vouchers for complaining are great but don't solve the issue.

We’ve used the excellent decaff instant for years but have given up since the introduction of the new jars. Impossible to get into without spilling it over the floor. Hopeless for people with arthritic or weak hands. Please tell us why and change it.

Abolutely dreadful cutomer service- not remotely interested in late delivery - they use the worst delivery company who have no way of keeping you informed and they have no way of contacting them other than by e-mail. L'OR coffee is Ok but there are plenty of others out there who take a pride in their customer service.

Wij zijn koffiedrinkers, van die echte, die er op leven! Ik heb het over DE koffie. Echt generaties, mijn oma, moeder en wij. Mijn man komt uit een echt koffieland dus weet van lekkere kiffie en hij is ook al 36 jaar aan de DE. Maar nu.....wij weten het niet meer. Wij hebben van alles geprobeerd, koffie opgiet methode ( echt al 15 jaar heerlijke koffie).
Sinds 2 weken mee gestopt omdat de smaak vreselijk was, bitter, dik, zwaar. ( grove of snel filter).
Eerst nog de gouden verpakking variant, maar precies hetzelfde resultaat.
Toen overgegaan op de aankoop van een koffie apparaat denkende dat het daar aan lag. Helaas de smaak blijft echt naar. Ook hier geprobeerd om de hoeveelheid te wisselen om zo de smaak goed te krijgen maar ook niet.
Onze dochter zet koffie in een glazen perlatortje omdat zij alleen koffie drinkt en vroeg mij of wij iets aan de koffie hadden gemerkt!!!! Blijkt dat zij het ook opgemerkt had. Inmiddels zijn we van 10 kopjes naar 4 kopjes koffie gegaan met de nodige afkickverschijnselen, maar goed dat verandert de smaak natuurlijk ook niet. Gisteren een pak zonder merk gekocht van € 2.39 ipv DE voor € 7,99.
Onze gedachte is dat er veel afvalkoffie door de betere koffie gedraaid wordt zodat er toch nog een verdienmodus is voor de koffie giganten. Maar als dit goedkope pak ook niks wordt, dan gaan we aan de thee.

I think your advert with the man insulting the woman just because she ask if it matters what coffee she have is a disgrace and an insult to all woman on how he treated her.

Sorry,maar dit kan echt niet,staan in lange rij.1 dame is aan het werk haar tempo is langzaam want ze is druk met de andere dames die achter de bar constant lopen en staan, 1 staat er aan een ijsthee te lurken.Zijn druk in gesprek en wij klanten mogen mee genieten.Dan krijg ik mijn verse gember thee in goor glas ,water met een schijf gember wat een prestatie,wel vroeg de dame of ik er een koekje bij wil? Van mij krijgt zo’n zaak geen ster

Non-existent customer service. Messaged them twice. No reply twice.

Wat ik toch wel triest vindt is dat Douwe Egberts nieuwe doosjes heeft van de Latte Macchiato instant, de inhoud is van 19,8 gr naar 16,3 gr gegaan per zakje en er zitten er 8 in een doosje. Voor hun een behoorlijke winst op het eind van het jaar.

Nieuwe doosjes ok... maar dan ook gelijk voor hetzelfde geld of meer dan minder in de zakjes te doen... schande

Ik heb een DE thermoskan (Blokker ) ,mag blij zijn als de koffie na een uur nog te drinken is .... lauw dan .....echt teleurgesteld !

I phoned customer care, who contradicted the label entirely. No, they said, the thing is to hold the jar with both hands and press up on the lid with one's thumbs. That does nothing, either.

ben al een hele tijd op zoek naar het bruine koffieschepje, ook een mail naar D-E gestuurd tot op vandaag nog niets gehoord, ja bij Bol.com kopen voor €10,- terwijl het wordt aangeboden bij Blokker voor €0,79 maar ook daar niet te koop wel de koffie verkopen maar de schepjes nergens helaas staat wel op de reclame van de koffie, ik hoop dat er nu eens gehoor aan wordt gegeven.

My nan loves to drink Egberts coffee the only thing is is that she finds it impossible to get into the jar she asked me one day to open it for her and even I had trouble getting into it once I had opened it and tried to pull the lid off half of the coffee went all over the floor I'm sure that the money that they're charging for this product that they can come up with a better idea of opening this jar it's a joke

Douwe Egberts heeft bijzonder veel fouten gemaakt met de levering van een multifunctioneel koffiezetapparaat. Zeker 100x mail- en telefoonverkeer, nog nooit meegemaakt dat een bedrijf zoveel blundert. En dan, zonder oplossen van de problemen en zonder vooraankondiging gooien zij het ineens op incasso en willen daar niet van afwijken. Rechtszaak is aanstaande.

Hoewel (eigenlijk alleen) de meest dure Douwe Egberts koffie mij redelijk goed smaakt en volgens mij 4 sterren waard zou kunnen zijn, geef ik 1 ster minder vanwege de hoge prijs en 1 ster minder omdat hun potten oploskoffie stelselmatig het gebruikersgemak verzieken. I.t.t. bv. bij de oploskoffie van de Lidl, moet je lang plukken om de uiteenvallende aluminum afdichting te verwijderen, kun je niet met een gewone koffie-lepel bij de bodem van de pot komen en sluit de idioot opgeblazen deksel soms pas na meerdere pogingen. Dat deze onnodige onvriendelijkheid al decenia lang bestaat, is niet anders uit te leggen als gebrek aan goede wil bij Douwe Egberts, zodat ik dus iedereen aanraad niets van dit bedrijf te kopen.

Terrible, insipid, watery, tasteless, Frothless, maxwell house instant cappuccino. Absolutely disgusting. I have no idea how they have the audacity to call this product cappuccino, it does not resemble coffee in any shape or form.
It tastes only of dried milk and when you open the 750g drum that is exactly what it looks like, dried milk. There is very little coffee at all. There should be a law against selling this rubbish to the public, just ripping people off with this junk.
I have tried Kenco instant cappuccino which is far superior to this crap. I could not get any Kenco at the time of this purchase and, boy, what a waste of money. If you like the flavour of dried milk this product is for you. If on the other hand, you prefer a nice tasting cup of cappuccino with plenty of froth and a smooth coffee taste I recommend Kenco.

This company are LIARS. They OWE me a refund for a measly amount and they’ve had me jumping through hoops for 8 MONTHS. Sending them pictures, codes, dates, proof of purchase.

Tweeted my disdain and received no reply... Very rude and poor customer service. We purchased the cappuccino maxwell house and it was terrible. Absolutely no froth or creamy taste ... I Have bought this regularly from Costco but now they have done something to it and it’s terrible .. not only does it look like old coffee that has been stood but it tastes terrible. I would not recommend this product.
