Same promises, same problems. Great Marketing and smooth sales talks, but don't make the mistake to fall for it, ask around at the Costa del Sol, he is building a very bad reputation there in the real estate world.

What began as a dream project – a luxury designer bed with a headboard – ended up turning into a legal battle lasting almost two years for me.

In 2023, I ordered a bespoke designer bed from HeadBoards, including a mattress and headboard. Despite having already paid 80% of the purchase price, it proved impossible for months to get a clear delivery date.

When the delivery finally took place, the installation was very disappointing. The headboard was fixed in the wrong place, resulting in damage to a plastered wall. In addition, there were stains on and a tear in the box spring, and the wooden frame of the headboard was damaged. The mattress from their supplier, Hespera, also turned out to have suffered transport damage and – right up until the return date – gave off a strong chemical smell.

Despite multiple reports, photos and agreements made, a permanent solution was never found.

Appointments were rescheduled or not honoured. Ultimately, it took nearly two years and legal assistance before the products were collected.

So… despite the promised ‘high-end’ and hotel-like feel, the luxury segment in which they claim to operate, and the fact that they are referred to as professionals at HOOG.design, DON’T DO IT!

Wat begon als een droomproject- een luxe design bed met hoofdboord, eindigde voor mij in een juridisch traject van bijna twee jaar.

In 2023 bestelde ik bij HeadBoards een op maat ontworpen designbed inclusief matras en hoofdboord. Ondanks dat ik al 80% van het aankoopbedrag had betaald, bleek het maandenlang onmogelijk een duidelijke leverdatum te krijgen.

Toen de levering uiteindelijk plaatsvond, verliep de plaatsing zeer teleurstellend. Het hoofdboord werd op een verkeerde plek bevestigd met als gevolg schade aan een gestucte muur. Daarnaast bleken er vlekken op- en een scheur in de boxspring en raakte de houten omlijsting van het hoofdboord beschadigd. Ook de matras van de huisleverancier Hespera bleek transportschade te hebben en-tot aan de retourdatum- een zwaar chemische reuk te verspreiden.

Na meerdere meldingen, foto’s en gemaakte afspraken bleef een structurele oplossing uit.

Afspraken werden verzet of niet nagekomen. Uiteindelijke heeft het bijna twee jaar en juridische hulp gekost voordat de producten werden opgehaald.

Dus… ondanks het beloofde ‘high end’ en hotelgevoel, het luxe segment waarin ze zeggen zich te bewegen, ze bij HOOG.design genoemd worden als professional DOE HET NIET !

BOur experience with Dutch Design Group / Headboards, and the people behind it Daan Linders and Vanessa van Katwijk has been extremely negative and has caused significant financial damage to our company.

We were approached in Spain to collaborate on furniture supply for several projects. Initially the name Dutch Design Group sounded familiar and trustworthy, mainly because it closely resembles the name of a legitimate and well-known company called Dutch Interior Group. Unfortunately, we later discovered that these are completely different entities.

During the collaboration multiple serious issues occurred.

Furniture orders were delayed, incomplete, or in some cases never delivered. When items did arrive, several products were damaged or appeared to be very low-quality items that did not match the brands or quality that had been promised.

In addition, clients connected to our projects were invoiced directly by them without our authorization. Payments related to our projects were received on their accounts, but those funds were never transferred to us. As a result, a substantial amount of money is still outstanding.

During our attempts to resolve the situation we were repeatedly promised that everything would be settled. At one point they even stated they would come to our office to resolve the matter, which ultimately never happened.

While investigating the situation further we discovered that the company name Dutch Design Group does not appear to correspond with a clearly registered company. The activities seem to be carried out through a company called Headboards, while communication towards clients often took place under the name Dutch Design Group.

We also discovered that the office address communicated in Spain does not appear to correspond with an active office location, and that there had already been issues at that address related to payments.

Because of these circumstances we have filed a police report and the authorities have been informed. We are currently working with legal advisors and other creditors to prepare legal proceedings.
