We are very happy with the house we found through East of Exe. They have been professional and cordial and although we’ve had a couple of hiccups in meeting the landlady it’s all gone smoothly. Only reason it is a 4 and not a 5 star review is because on the day of the viewing the agent forgot the keys so we decided to go with the property from what we had seen from the outside. Thankfully we were lucky that the property was in pretty great conditions and the landlady is truly nice and kind.

Have to say the best agency I have ever had in UK in 12 years and I have quite a few.

Always professional, happy to help and nothing is too much trouble.

Every time anyone comes for maintenance or repairs, they are polite, clean after themselves, which seemed to be unheard of before hand.

Over all I would always recommend.

EastofExe are a very professional and friendly organisation. We are living in Dubai and were looking for rental properties in Topsham. Freya was very helpful and responsive to our many requests and she helped us find the perfect property.

An absolutely fantastic experience with Sally selling our house. She was professional, friendly and honest throughout the entire process and the same can be said for the rest of the staff I’ve dealt with east of exe in both sales and letting.

Would highly recommend them to any buyer, vendor, landlord or renter.

During what has been an extremely tricky time involving land registry the team at East of Exe have been fantastically supportive. Always professional, always on time and always reassuring that we would “ get there in the end”. Both the sales team in Topsham and the letting team in Exminster deserve the highest praise and are thoroughly recommended by my husband and myself.

I asked for a viewing of a modest, 2 bedroom house for me and my son. Despite a full time salary, an excellent credit score and having savings worth 3 years' rent (!), I was told by the lady from the Exeter office that I wouldn't pass their credit referencing. When I mentioned that I am single parent, she automatically assumed that I am on benefits - which I am not and never have. Clearly I wasn't worth her time. I am absolutely appalled by the prejudice this company has shown towards me. I have dealt with several local estate agents and never have I been refused a viewing. The way they deal with potential tenants is a disgrace.

Horrible.
They advertised a flat as furnished, confirmed it was as such via phone call, and signed the contract from both sides.
Then, 10 days before moving in, they just sent an email - not even bothered to call - saying "it's actually not furnished, we hope that's not an issue". No attempts to solve the problem, and gave me 24h to decide what to do.
The only solution provided was giving me £150 to buy furnitures by myself. Now you tell me which furnitures I can buy with such amount.
Absolutely unprofessional and unreliable.

Despite their admittedly good portfolio of properties in and around Exeter this agency should be avoided at all costs! The lack of customer service, disorganisation and greed is a perilous combination to any tenant. You will be much better off with anyone else on the market. From all my years dealing with estate agents I can honestly say that East of Exe are the worst.

This agent has caused my family great distress, never seems to learn, and doesn't even had the manners to apologize. Avoid!
