Grants available to people with benefits, ill health, assistance to apply for the grants. Excellent service from begining to end. Clean, tidy workforce. Ensured job was completed to a high standard. Solar panels insured free to the customer as part of the job for 2 years. Helpful, friendly staff when calling into the office. Overall Ecosave is a reliable company who cares about their customers, providing a first class installation system of heaters, solar panels and much more.

Good timing for work to be both scheduled and undertaken. Tidy workmen. Job finished to a high standard.

It can be a minefield choosing a company for home improvements. I struck gold with Ecosave installations. I now have a new roof. Looks fantastic. Mario and his team were efficient starting the job within two weeks of consultation. The team who were all polite and friendly arrived promptly every day. Nothing was a problem to them. I could trust the team and leave my house to return to roof completed in two days. The team left my garden and property tidy. Reliable, very efficient and would definitely recommend.

Major Leak and Ongoing Issues

Velux Window Issue
The new Velux window did not match the existing windows, despite this being discussed and agreed beforehand. I was told it was “too late” to change it as a hole had already been cut in the roof and that it would take weeks to source a matching window.
Scaffolding leaked rust on new patio slabs
Mario stated chemical cleaner would remove it, I had to insist he paid for it. Roughcasters came along and applied product once. I had to apply the repeated applications. Unfortunately a slight residue remains
New Drainpipe
New drain pipe connector "Jerry-rigged" with old piece of drainpipe causing persistent leak. I had to pay a plumber to buy a part and repair the damage.
Flashing Not Replaced
I was charged for renewed flashing on two original Velux windows. This flashing was not replaced. I discovered this accidentally.
The old flashing was in fact the cause of the persistent leak.
Despite repeated contact via WhatsApp and email, Mario denied being informed and ignored requests to replace the flashing as per contract. As a result, the leak continued for six weeks, causing significant internal damage including:
• Loft wall gyproc damage
• Loft flooring damage
• Bedroom ceiling gyproc damage
Mario only agreed to replace the flashing six weeks after it was reported because I issued a formal warning that I would be taking legal action. The flashing was finally replaced in December, which stopped the leak.
Internal repairs (gyproc replacement, loft flooring replacement, and bedroom ceiling gyproc replacement and plastering) were not completed until February 2026 — seven months after the roof was completed.

Other Outstanding Issues
• Plasterwork was never fully completed.
• A 10-year warranty certificate was promised but has never been provided, despite repeated requests.
• Communication throughout was extremely difficult. Mario was frequently rude, dismissive, denied prior discussions, and delayed action. All correspondence is recorded via email and WhatsApp.
• Ecosave Roofing & Roughcast advertises affiliation with “Trustmark,” however Trustmark stated they are not listed as members.
• Ecosave Installations and Ecosave Roofing & Roughcast share the same website, phone number, and address, indicating they are affiliated per Citizens Advice Scotland and Advice Direct Scotland.
• Directors listed include Monica [Ecosave Installations] and Mario [Ecosave Roofing & Roughcast]. Both have been directors of other short-lived companies. Monica denied involvement when contacted, however, the internal repair work was performed by Ecosave Installations tradesmen who answered to her.

Overall Experience
This has been an extremely stressful and protracted experience. What should have been a straightforward roofing and roughcasting job resulted in:
• Property damage
• Months of unresolved leaks
• Repeated chasing
• Failure to honour contractual obligations
• Failure to provide warranty documentation
I would strongly advise anyone considering this company to carry out thorough due diligence

Recently had both the roofing and roughcasting upgraded. Work was complete to a high standard and we were clearly updated each step of the way.

I could not fault the boys! At all! From start to finish they were great. They listened to our circumstances ans explained the soloitions to us in detail and nothing was any trouble they were also very conceous of making any mess. Their communication was great from start to finish as they had to return to do other parts of our house as it was not just 1x simple job. I have no complaints and were very happy with the service and quality of work carried out.

Absolutely delighted with the roughcasting work carried out on my 3-bed semi by Ecosave. From start to finish the service was excellent. They supplied all scaffolding and materials, the overall cost was very competitive, and the workmanship is top quality. They also went above and beyond by fitting new PVC external window ledges, removing old unused security lights and installing new ones — all at no extra cost. The site was left spotless, with all rubbish and materials cleared away. The house looks fantastic and we’ve already had loads of compliments from neighbours, several of whom are now looking to get work done by Ecosave themselves. Highly recommended.

had an oil heating system and got changed to air source heat pump with radiators and pipe works upgraded all insulation in the house done and solar panels. Massive difference home feels a lot better and great savings on my energy bills. Well done to all

Roof tile installation was done on my daughter's house a couple of years ago (c. 2023), and all went well at the time; however, a couple of months ago my daughter noticed water in the downstairs lounge. After investigating, it was found to be coming from the roof and running down the inside of the walls. The plaster, drywall, etc. were sopping wet and had to be removed. We called Ecosave and eventually, after many attempts, we got through and they sent someone out. They acknowledged that the work had not been done correctly at installation and they replaced some flashing they admitted had been cut too short. Fair enough; we appreciated their admission. However, a day or two after that, we then found the roof was also leaking in another spot further up, so we called Ecosave again... And called. And called. And called. We called LOADS of times and were assured that Marco would call back. Didn't happen. An independent insurance assessor was called out and they said it was not covered under insurance "as it has been ongoing since installation of the tiles". We called Ecosave again, but have found that Marco is not at all interested in addressing the matter any further. He will not entertain carrying out the repair until we send the insurance report to him...and all the while the rain keeps falling and the house is in uproar, waiting for the roof fix so the interior can be restored. My daughter has had to hire someone else to come out and fix the mess left by Ecosave. Never use this company, as the aftercare is appalling. Actually, it's non existent. Read some of the other reviews. All tell a similar story when it comes to fixing things after initial install. SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE.

From survey until completion of the works, Ecosave were very professional. I had extensive insulation to cavity walls and loft and had a boiler fitted which included major pipework upgrades. Ecosave's operatives were always on time and left no mess. I would have no hesitation in recommending Ecosave to anyone who would require these types of products. First class service all round.

Worst company ever I had them in doing the air source heating absolute bunch of cowboys and managers no any better completely destroyed my house heating cost so much money to run and it's meant to be cheaper. Never fixed any of the problems, told you house would be back as it was which was rubbish I've had to replace carpets and decorate everything, three of the new plugs they put in was overloaded and kept tripping when I got a proper electrician in all the wires had burned inside electrician told me I'm lucky the whole house never went on fire they don't care about the customers or there kids just want paid for the work luckily I had someone come and check there work and failed the job so they never got any money from me thankfully after proper electrician and heating engineer's my house is back to normal and back to heating that doesn't cost a fortune to heat your house i would never recommend this company to anyone don't know how there still getting any work they don't even deserve 1 star.

I was supposed to have a roof installed , and was told I only had to have an extractor fan installed, then a couple of joiners showed up to say I had to have trickle vents put on my windows and 1 cm cut off the bottom on all my internal doors, they have invalidated my warranty of my ruff casting by drilling into to add scaffolding, they did this when I was not at home, totally miss informed from start to finish, total bunch off cowboys
