Too bad the company has gone to crap

Its so sad reading all these terrible reviews , I was thinking about purchasing another bike from them but apparently things have changed drastically with ecotric.
I bought a Seagull in 2020 after much research ,at the time it was $ 1299.00 which was a good price for a 1000 watt bike ,after a couple months the suspension fork went bad , I emailed them and had a new fork within 5 days , that's it , ive put over 9000 miles on the bike and it still runs as good as when it was new ,I just got back from a 30 mile ride , in the 6 years I've had it aside from the fork ,ive done nothing but normal bicycle maintenance on it , its been a fantastic bike , they are selling them now for $ 699 and I was thinking about getting another one until I started reading the reviews , I think I'll keep riding mine until it dies .really its too bad ,a few years back they were a good company .....

Totally unreachable

I have been attempting to reach this company for 3 weeks in reference to some technical support on their bicycle. I have tried email and phone and also left a voicemail numerous times during their business hours and have not received any call back. Once you mentioned you have problems they ghost you.

Ecotric POOR product support

Initially e-electric Bikes very helpful with sales and delivery.
Ecotric Product support after purchase has much to be desired.
Ecotric Bikes Parts are not readily available and company has no willingness to supply stock or delivery parts or product support. Ecotric Usually will answer inquiries within a couple days however usually just an apology that supplies/parts to repair are not available. I knew the Ecotric E bike warranty for their product was poorly related when purchasing two of their e bikes, however prefer to do my own mechanical work on mechanical purchases. What I did not expect is the companies unwillingness to stock, provide, or even sell basic parts to support Product. Everyone understands this is a low budget cheaper quality purchase but without parts available and product support lacking I would highly recommend purchasing from another provider. Ecotric is not a product you can keep operating and offset price point by your own maintenance schedules.
Highly suggest another product line after two bikes sitting with no parts available.

Customer service was virtually non-existent, by Ecotric, and the seller, Renewable outdoors. I received a damaged seat with my new bike, emailed about several times and crickets, no response.

Upon receiving my new bike and inspecting all the parts, I found a flaw in the seat, at which time I e-mailed the Distributor ( Renewable Outdoors) about it, and they said they would look into it, and nothing...still waiting, a few e-mails later, still nothing.
At this point, I'll not recommend either Ecotric or Renewable Outdoors for anything.

I ordered a set of fenders for my…

I ordered a set of fenders for my ecotric 27 fat tire bike,I dropped off at the bike shop,cause i was getting my brakes done,I finally picked up my bike,and was told the front fenders doesn't fit,I'm for sure I ordered the right size from the ecotric site,I reached out to them about the issue and they told me,sorry we don't do refunds but I can buy more accessories,what a joke,..stay away from ecotric site

Never again…. We bought 2 ecotric bikes a few years…

We bought 2 ecotric bikes a few years back.. the one had nothing but problems. We would reach out to ecotric, only to be told to send pics/video… time AND time again sending us every part but the part that has the issue.. the motor! Never got any help or any where with them .. I now ride alone… after spending 2000 on 2 bikes. Will NEVER recommend them and have since put a sticker over their name on my bike….

Read what’s under warranty.

I have the hammer shark. It’s a decent bike but heavy. My rear brake has malfunctioned. Beware of the warranty. Read it. I have no rear brake after 336 miles. EcoTric won’t cover the cost so I’m on my own. The fix will cost 250$ if I have to pay someone.

HORRIBLE, AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!

I purchased a charger from this company that did not charge my battery and they refused to help in any way. I was made to jump thru numerous hoops just to get a refund on a $60 charger that didn’t work for my battery for a bike that I spent over $1000 on. No kind of resolution was offered to me when I asked for assistance, I asked if I could send my battery in with the charger to see if it was my battery or charger and my request went unanswered. The customer service was so much better when I purchased the bike but as soon as there is an issue that I need help with I am not treated a as a valued customer in the least. Regret ever purchasing from this company and suggest finding a different vendor who vapes customer service and assisting a customer in need. Horrible experience and I will be very vocal on all of my social media platforms informing the public of my terrible interaction. After spending over $1000 for a bike you would think a company would offer a refund for a $60 charger that I can’t use and tried to return within 24 hours. Completely disappointed and wish I could give a negative score but 1 star is the lowest I am allowed to give. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!!!

Do not buy from this company.

Had to help a friend through so many customer service interactions I’ve lost count. Bike broke. Battery broke, twice. Wheel broke. Replacement wheel broke in 3 weeks. And every customer service interaction is like talking to a wall. They don’t listen, don’t fix the problems, and don’t seem to care about any of that.

ECOTRIC HAS ABSOLUTELY NO CUSTOMER…

ECOTRIC HAS ABSOLUTELY NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SUPPORT AND WON'T BACK THEIR PRODUCT. I PURCHASED A ECOTRIC BISON FROM THEM. AT JUST UNDER 18 MONTHS THE BIKE STOPPED IN THE MIDDLE OF A RIDE SHOWING A CODE 30. THEIR TECH TEAM STATED IT WAS A BURNT CONTROLLER AND SENT ME A NEW ONE TO INSTALL MYSELF ALONG WITH A DISPLAY THAT CONNECTS TO IT. AFTER INSTALLING IT I RODE IT FOR 60 MILES AND GOT ANOTHER CODE 30. THIS TIME IT WAS AFTER THE WARRANTY PERIOD AND THE TECH TEAM TOLD ME IT WAS SOMETHING ELSE RESULTING IN THE BURNT CONTROLLER AND IT MUST BE A BAD HUB MOTOR. NOW THEY WON'T WARRANT IT AND AFTER MONTHS OF EXCHANGING EMAILS WITH THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE TEAM IN CHINA THAT BECAUSE YOU CAN NO LONGER CALL CALIFORNIA'S CENTER THEY ARE DIVESTING THEMSELVES FROM ANY RESPONSIBILITY AND WON'T COVER THE REPAIR. OMG, THEY WILL NOT BE A SUSTAINABLE COMPANY WITH THIS POOR OF SERVICE AND WARRANTY.

EVERYTIME I CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE THEY CLAIM THAT THE SEAGULL FAT -TIRE E-BIKE IS NOT THEIRS! AND THEY NEVER SOLD A SEAGULL FAT TIRE BIKE. I PURCHASED THIS ECOTRIC SEAGULL FAT-TIRE BIKE IN 2017 FROM THERE CALIFORNIA WAREHOUSE. I SENT THEM PICTURES !!EVEN THE ECOTRIC BOX IT CAME iN BUt JOHN FROM ECOTRIC STILL DENIES ITS THEIRS!!!

Electrical wire fire 🔥

We have sent 2 emails with no reply to "sorry, we don't allow email addresses in our reviews" our electrical wires melted near gas cans and propane in our garage. They could have both burned us and the entire house down if any sparks would have been in that fire. All the wires are melted together. We purchased insurance since this is our 3rd ebike however we're still under mfg warranty and they don't respond. Id pick a better bike with actual customer "care" and don't park it in your garage near ANY flammables. Booooooo, especially considering the 1300 tag n shipping. Get insurance too bc clearly this company doesn't care. Im not done with my reviews. Every day they don't respond, I'll write a new 1.

I purchased a ecotric 26” fat tire…

I purchased a ecotric 26” fat tire bike. The battery was defective and sparked and ruined my charging cord and battery charging port. I took it back to bike dealership we’re bike was purchased. They reached out as well as myself. Took pictures as requested from ecotric and in the end they said sorry. Been out of warranty for less than 30 days. This battery was put outside of bike shop do to random sparking. Ecotric didn’t even offer to replace at low cost!!! Come to find out this bike is not made in California USA like advertised. They are a China based company which really upset me thinking I was purchasing a USA made product. Don’t buy this bike or any bike from this company.

I bought this matt green ecotric from a man
I met at 7-11. I love this bike great on trails excellent on streets of NYC. sooner or later I will buy a new one because these bikes take a beating and keep going.
The 48v 15ah batt is unreal I ride for hours on throttle only. only downside is brakes seem to need adjustment often but it only takes a few min to do.

UPON ORDERING AND RECEIVING 2 ECOTRIC BISON IT BECAME APPARENT THAT AFTER PUTTING ONE TOGETHER IT WAS GOING TO BE TOO LARGE OF A BIKE FOR MY WIFE IN SPITE OF THE FACT WE ARE THE SAME HEIGHT. WITHOUT OPENING THE BOX I CONTACTED ECOTRIC TO RETURN THE UNIT AT WHICH THEY PROMPTLY POINTED OUT THEY WOULD ACCEPT IT AND CHARGE ME $400 TO DO SO AND THAT I WAS BETTER OFF RESELLING IT. OMG,,,, DID I READ THAT RIGHT???? WHEN ATTEMPTING TO CALL THEM AT CUSTOMER SERVICE THEY HAVE DESIGNED THEIR COMPANY CLEARLY AROUND SATURATION OF PROMOTION WITH LITTLE OR NO CONSUMER RELATIONS AS YOU CANNOT, LITERALLY, CANNOT GET THROUGH TO ANYONE ON A PHONE. NEEDLESS TO SAY, MY WIFE ORDERED A RADPOWER.... ECOTRIC WILL NOT STAY IN BUSINESS WITH POOR PR LIKE THIS,,, IT IS TOO COMPETITIVE OF A MARKET TO SURVIVE BS SERVICE

i ordered a Ecotric Fat snow tire from them it worked for alittle while then started grinding. ecotric offered a replacement for my motor but that one too was defective, so i said ok... maybe this was a mistake and let me order another motor. complained again and they sent me another replacement to fix the replacement motor that was messed up and that too was messed up. my final attempt was me ordering a wheel and paying FULL PRICE for the wheel to install it to the defective bike. tried it once more and those gears was also defective, not only this but the controller was melting internally without me knowing that could have caught on FIRE. thank god that the 3rd party service i went to caught that during final inspection. i was so pissed of at them i decided just to buy a ebike kit from someone else. the only reason i am giving 2 stars is their customer service was helpful, other than that their quality is awful.

This aint a company. They just take orders

Ecotric Oakland=just a guy with a phone...... When you place an order with this company Oakland or Los Angeles location will take your payment and then place an order from the real bicycle seller!!!! You will pay $200-$400 more for the bicycle by not just ordering it from where these guys order from. His seller isn't going to say no to you going direct. Ecotric will say we buy so much quantity we get a quality product cheaper. Maybe he does get a break. But since he orders once your money arrives I doubt if he has quantity purchases often. In short I can order the exact same bike with stickers that say ecotric sucks. My ecotric sucks biker will be exactly like the ecotric bike with different stickers. I highly suggest you type alibaba.com Look for items with an american flag symbol. That means unbranded chinese product. But already in a warehouyse here in the states. These middle people take your money and wait for the bike. So you can go direct and wait for the bike without the middle persons fees
