Edgewood at Althorne, have all the gear but no idea, i took my cat 5 times to this vets, and they just gave her medication and decongestant powders, she was getting worse, so i got a second oppinion, and i am glad i did, she had a very bad gum infection which ate away the root of the tooth exposing the nerve and 3 different kind of viruses, she must have been in agony, she had a opperation to remove the nerve, pain meds and antibiotics, she had a xray on her lungs which showed she had bronchitis, everthing was just too much for her little body to cope with and i had to say goodbye, i will never recomend this vet to anyone, they just dont care

Terrible vets had to have my pet put to sleep, absolutely terrible communication between staff leading to more distress than needed stay away

How vets have changed....
I believe that this an independant vetenary business, and as such you would expect them to be a caring and pet freindly establishment.
How wrong can you be. They allocate time slots to see your pet, and if you have a nervous pet they simply add aggresive to your records, when your pet communicates that they are not happy with what they are doing.
The very young and inexperianced vets they have working here add to the inability to read animals.
The owner of the business does not care about your opinion or the treatment of your pet....Avoid at all costs....

I am deeply disappointed with the treatment my dog received at Edgewood Clinic. On two separate occasions, the staff forcefully administered eye drops to my dog, causing her significant distress. Instead of building trust and making the experience positive, they seemed to prioritize quantity over quality of service, disregarding my dog's comfort.

Now, my dog is understandably fearful and shows signs of stress when approached by the clinic staff ever since. When we decided to switch clinics, following the advice of our trainer, Edgewood labeled my dog as aggressive, making it impossible for us to change clinics. It's shocking that a veterinary clinic, which should be focused on the well-being of animals, would react this way rather than showing understanding and compassion.

Based on our experience, it seems they are more concerned with profit than the actual care of their patients. If you have a larger dog or an animal that requires gentle handling, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. This clinic clearly lacks the necessary skills and empathy. AVOID at all costs!
