Is it a common trend or a certain pattern on Eharmony that your matches are removed all the time?
Every time I came across someone who seemed genuine she disappeared from the site the next day. Overall I like SttDate.com
They are definitely ahead of the competition in terms of quality. I'm done with Eharmony. They only take your money but the whole experience ultimately leads to disappointment. There are so many fake accounts, but the ones that seem real and down to earth inexplicably vanish into thin air for some reason. And yet, they don't let me cancel my membership easily. It is very complicated technically. If you have paid them at least once they don't want to let you go easily.
Terrible experience with this platform
Terrible experience with this platform. While a paying customer I noticed a lack of new users, no matches and no potential at all. I quickly noticed this was a scam and that the other dating platforms have waaaaaaay more users. Now my overpriced subscription has ended, I have tried countless times to delete my profile, to see that the instructions to do so are not correct and that it is NOT possible to have my account deleted. Contacted customer service and they admitted the instructions for deleting are wrong that that it is not possible to delete account.
It’s a trap
It’s a trap, it’s the biggest test and conditions scam I’ve ever encountered. You think you have to pay for a month and see how it goes when you go to cancel your subscription, they don’t let you and you have to pay for the full year every month. This is unfair
O STARS-This fraudalent Corrupt Company…
O STARS-This fraudalent Corrupt Company should be banished from existence. They are abusing customers bank accounts and cancelling accounts themselves and then charging £65 to do so. NEVER EVER GET INVOLVED OR YO WILL SUFFER EMOTIONALLY AND DEFINITELY FINANCIALLY. DO NOT OPEN YOUR ACCOUNT TO THEM. YOU CANNOT CONTACT THEM-HOW CONVENIENT-YOUR ACCOUNT WILL BE ROBBED AT EVERY AVAILABLE OPPORTUNITY AND THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO OR GO TO. TRUST ME -AVOID AVOID
lol There is absolutely no harmony on this site
If you want to do a favor for your nervous system, mental health and of course your wallet avoid it like the plague! I understand that all sites want to generate profit but some platforms like AFFseek.com
actually provide some service, i.e. access to a lot of genuine accounts. However, the only purpose and motive of Eharmony is to make you spend heavily on something that has nothing to do with reality since all the accounts are AI-generated. They don't bother to bring in real people. It's a horrible, very corrupted company that I would never encourage anyone to join, even for kicks and giggles.
For a company that was 'cutting edge'…
For a company that was 'cutting edge' in online dating a few decades ago, it has become just another scam operation. I went on it and of course, could not see the pictures of other people, so I had to 'Join'. What a waste. Even though I had specifically said who I'd like to meet, it completely disregarded that information and sent me whomever was in the age bracket I picked. No one was my type and there were very, very few matches. I forgot about it, until yesterday when I received a $104 charge from eharmony. Wow. I had never received an email saying that my membership was going to auto renew. Contacted customer service to cancel and get that $104 back (through email - there are no live agents, probably because they were tired of being yelled at...) and they said that sure, we'll cancel your auto renew and it won't renew again, but you're locked in for this year. I looked deeper and into the account and it said that I was on the hook for 4 more monthly payments of $104 for the 2026 year. Seriously???? I don't want it, I shouldn't have to have it and I shouldn't be charged for it! They scam you into a first year for a small fee, then sideswipe you for hundreds the next year all without telling you it will auto renew! What a sickening company. Limited people to meet, not within the criteria you select and the cost... $400+! I'm going to cancel my credit card so they don't charge me again. Just try to get money from me, lol. Take me to court. I will tell anyone that this company scams people out of their money. If it was a usable service, I might not have a problem with it. It's not, and I do.
AVOID eHarmony
Be very careful when subscribing to this company. They offer you a deal of a monthly subscription first 3 months at half price then reverting to full price. In the ad for this it states" of course you can cancel at any time" . How about full disclosure of of course you will also be required to be obligated to pay for the full 12 months.
I requested that they delete my account and remove my profile, 3 times- as far as I'm aware my profile is still up as they sent a couple of supposed matches, which were outside of my area . They will come back at you with their terms and conditions and yes it is in there but buried amongst all the other legal jargon, which I'm sure they count on people missing it. But surely if we have an obligation to pay for an almost non existent service, when we request that our profile be deleted, they are under a legal obligation to remove it and not display our photo as requesting deletion rescinds permission for them to display our photo???
My recommendation - Do NOT get involved with this company, they do not provide the service they claim to, their customer service is appalling AND they rip you off.
They trap you into spending over $300…
They trap you into spending over $300 in fees but then the app does not provide any matches in your area (Canberra). The customer service do not care about customers and are just about charging money for no service. Avoid them and try many better options
This is a scam site
This is a scam site, you are even better with tinder trust me. I am now in debt of $700 because I asked to cancel as there was nothing happening
If I could write zero
If I could write zero, I would! I signed up for 3 months, on Sunday 4th Of January 2026;yet after 10 days there was nothing happening.
I emailed eharmony to cancel, and I received a reply, saying that I had signed up for 12 months until March 2027! An absolute lie from them! I am extremely disappointed in this platform and will never trust a dating site ever again!
I wish I could give 0 SCAM
I wish I could give 0. An absolute SCAM. I signed up to their ‘one month trial’ cancelled the very same evening seeing what a poor quality experience it was. Only for another months charge to be taken out the following month! I e mailed them and they said I had signed up for a year. I didn’t. I signed up to a months trial, maybe they bury some very small print to trick you in this, but what I saw was months trial.
They refused to cancel. So I’m expected to pay hundreds of dollars for a service I will
Not be using that is full of fake profiles. No thanks! Who locks you in to a dating app for a year! What if you realise it’s really rubbish straight away like I did. Or less likely what if you find love within the first month and no longer need a dating app. Forcing you in to a years contract is unconscionable.
I’ve had to cancel card and will take it further if they try to pursue me.
Misleading information
Misleading information at sign up and payment, very hard to get customer support, refuse to give refund. Mostly fake or inactive profiles. Take a lot of time to build up profile then ignore at matching, most probably not enough profiles, most of them non reply, no interaction
I have been an eharmony member on and off for about 18 months…
I have been an eharmony member for quite a while I can't help but believe that there's a lot of fakes. I have sent messages to a few ladies in my area without any response. I am not egotistical but on anither site I have had the opposite many ladies that are real have sent me messages and I have met a lovely lady there.
This service is ridiculously overpriced! Lots of empty and outdated profiles, ridiculously inappropriate matches
I had zero matches in my area in the age range I selected. The pool of people is larger on JLFlirt.com
there are no empty or fake profiles there and no membership fees. However, Eharmony was created for membership fees. Their goal is to sell you a long-term subscription. But the biggest problem is they automatically renew it, even if you unchecked this option. They don’t care and their customer support keeps telling you that your auto pay box was checked. In reality, their 14 day cooling off period is a myth . It just doesn’t work and there is no way to get your money back. It’s definitely a fraud.
Absolutely useless if your over…
Absolutely useless if your over 50…expensive
New member is suspicious
I am currently a member recently joined. I have interacted with some members so I believe these are genuine. My suspicions aroused when a new profile appeared on my page. Seemed ideal until no response to emails. I realized the member hadn't logged on for weeks so how did the picture pop up? You have to log on to attract attention or change your information.I think eharmony administrators post profiles of cancelled members. This makes genuine people fools for writing to a non existent person. I intend to cancel well within the subscription period, prepared for a fight even though it is made clear one has to cancel before the subscription auto renews, I'm certain they'll bill me
Big Scam!!!
Horrible! I thought I joined for 1 months at half price as the company advertised on Facebook therefore see no harm trying out this dating site. When I realised that dating site did not suit me, I quickly emailed the company to say I would like to cancel my membership, but the company emailed me back to say I am locked in with them for 1 year! I only signed up for a half price for 1 month trial offer the company put out on Facebook without realising it was for a 12 months contract! I have to cancel my credit card where $40 was to be debited from my account monthly, to my inconvenience ! I was just NOT prepared to pay for a service I was not happy! The company should not locked their customers in on a 12 month contract. They told me they were happy to stop my subscription but monthly payments would still be taken out from my account! SCAM SCAM SCAM! Be aware!
I agree with the others
I agree with the others. This site should be closed down for its unethical standards. Appallingly bad.
Auto renew hell
Auto renew hell.
Not only is this app absolute rubbish anyway but their auto renew is a scam. I barely used the service and expected a notification at some point to say that my auto renew was due but no. Not a thing. When I contacted them to ask for the refund I was told that I received an email 6 months ago with the renewal date on it…
They took over £200 out of my bank account and I’m not exactly well off so this has really impacted me.
Absolute rort
Absolute rort, unethical practices and a scam
I am blind and signed up fo their program
I didnt see they fine print which they throw in your face and they ended up trying to charge me four times what I expected
Steer clear because you may or may not find true love but you will 100% be ripped off
They have been reported to ACCC for unethical practices
