my model R is 1 year old. The rear light has failed twice. The battery release latch broke in half. both failures are due to poor design. if you have this bike and these things have also occurred you may agree. a $15 dollar plastic part and $20 shipping is outside of satisfactory service. Know when you buy this bike you will face similar issues.

So Electric Bike Co reached out to me after I submitted a negative review. Heard from Blake Garcia offering to help me make the bike a better “fit”.
Here was my response:
Hi Blake:
I am 5’5” tall & 65 years old. The bike is simply too big for me. I ordered it over the phone & the gentleman who took my order assured me it would be a good fit for me. (I no longer remember his name - I deleted it from my contacts- I was that pissed.) I explained where I live & that I wanted to be able to ride with my 15 pound dog in the front basket. I said I was a senior & would this be a good fit for me. I was assured it would be. I went for it & spent $4,529.46. My order # 1169425.
I returned the front basket & liner - very disconcerting that the basket turned with the handlebars!
I feel completely ripped off - the bike is too big & I feel unsafe. I fell over while stopping the bike & ended up with a huge hematoma, broken rib & a huge hospital bill on 10/31/2022. I have not ridden it since. This has been a horrible experience for me. Thanks Electric Bike Company for ripping off a Senior Citizen.

My wife and each own an EBC Model R. The purchase experience through Roadshark In Fernandina Beach, Florida and EBC was excellent from order to delivery. However, this review is about the after sale service I received from EBC.
We brought our bikes from Florida to Los Angeles, California on a new bike rack mounted to my Jeep Wrangler towed behind our motorhome. Unfortunately, the paint on the frame of my bike got damaged pretty severely by the pedal of my wife’s bike. When we arrived in California I contacted EBC to get an appointment to have the bike repaired. Their first estimate was $350 and said it would take 2 to 3 weeks. I was pleasantly surprised when the repair was completed in just one week. I was blown away when I went to pick it up! Not only was the quality of the repair outstanding, they surprised me by not charging me a penny! Plus, they replaced the front forks which also had paint damage…again, no charge.
If you’re looking for an electric bike I highly recommend EBC. From sales to service they have been awesome! Thank you EBC staff for going above and beyond to take care of your customers.

Local rider here, who ordered in person from HB showroom, I had all questions answered and staff was pleasant enough, but no real insights or pertinent information was given. My order had a 14 day lead time that ended up being more with no communication aside from my own inquiries (multiple). Also purchased at later date was a basket, suspension seatpost, and extra battery - which could have been a basket w/ battery if I had been informed at time of purchase that it could not be added to the Model X after assembly. The 3 seperate upgrades totaled more than if they had been included when placing the order; and when asked if a deduction could be applied, seemed like a reasonable request after a 2500 purchase, was met with blank stares. Also, an alarm was installed gratis; but the key fobs became either lost or broken. Yet when asked if a replacement could be purchased was told a whole new alarm unit had to be purchased along with labor to remove and reinstall. This even though in the user manual of alarm it clearly details how to program a replacement fob. If local, I wouldn't recommend buying mostly due to the fact that the "proprietary EBC" equipment is simply rebranded Chinese manufactured goods and is designed to lead the owner into using EBC exclusively for the lifetime of the bike. I typically do not write reviews, good or bad, but I was so soured by the service (or lack thereof) provided to a local resident looking to always support local business was inclined to. As a good value it has left a lot to be desired. Now this rider is left feeling taken for a ride -- pun fully intended.

EBC is an American company with awesome customer support and a quality product. They build electric bikes that are custom made just for you - right down to the paint color. If you’re thinking about an E-bike, this is the company you should buy from.

I have very bad experience with revolt motors.i booked my vehicle before six months but I don't have any calls about that , when I contacted to company they told me visit to our showroom then cancel it. Then I visited cancelled. But I didn't get my refund after 20 days of cancellation.after connect to contact support they are told we are looking in it after one week. looking

I have a brand new bike with the upgraded battery that cuts out after not even 5 miles. I have to stop, reset, and then it goes a little further and still cuts out. Customer service solution was to send my battery in so you can troubleshoot leaving me without a working $4000 bike. Really? Please contact me for immediate fix or refund.

I love my e-bike and the customer service is excellent. They respond in a timely manner with loads of information about e-bikes, accessories and maintenance information.

The sales guy was awesome! He was so great to my daughter!

The bike is great but the customer support I received was ok. I wish I had been there for delivery to catch the issues I found later (the headlight out on 1 side and an intermittent grinding noise coming from the hub). I submitted a ticket to the online "help" who told me that I would be contacted by an engineer later regarding my problems. Contacted ended up being, I received a new light in the mail with upgraded brackets with no call from any engineer. The original bracket was a composite and the upgrade is steel so new hardware would have been nice due to the new bracket being thinner, but I was able to procure the parts at a hardware store and I won't look a gift horse in the mouth. As far as the grinding is concerned, I have written it off to break in the period although it still makes the sound occasionally. All in all, I would very much recommend the bike.

The Electric Bike Company is a well thought out company. Their customized bikes are outstanding. They thought of everything a customer would want and need in an electric bike. I was truly impressed when I started telling Jeff what I wanted on my bike. When I received it, I was so excited. It was already assembled, you only need to turn the handlebars and tighten them. I ordered the direct speed and pedal assist. I didn't want to have to change the gears etc. Now when I ride I just hold the throttle and it takes off without pedaling! I love it! Yes it was over $2k but it was worth it! I'm worth it! I've spent my whole life doing for others, now it's time to do for me! Happy ebike cruising!

I researched a lot of different E bikes before I chose Electric Bike Company. My biggest decision makers were the warranty of the battery and motor and the configurable options of the bikes. I live in the Bay area and chose to drive down and pick up the bikes. They were extremely accommodating and made the process very easy. I am very pleased with my purchase and would highly recommend Electric Bike Company to everyone.

Visit to Newport sales off was friendly and informative. Product quality, particularly welds, looked excellent. My wife and I took small test rides in parking lot area. We bought two bike with customization after sales person went over all the options. We are very satisfied.

EBC makes a great product. Well built and well engineered. They have great customer service and are willing to go above and beyond. My wife and I have the Model E bikes and we absolutely love riding around town, handling errands, and enjoying keeping the vehicles parked during a majority of the spring, summer, and fall. If you're considering an e-bike purchase, would definitely recommend to anyone to look into the various models from EBC. They will take care of you at purchase and more importantly, down the road.

Still trying to figure out how to turn on/off the lights. Better instructions might have helped. Otherwise, we are loving the bikes.

Love that the bikes are US made. Everyone I have spoken and interacted with have been very knowledgeable and helpful! I love my model Y.

They sold me a used bike, said it was new, they did not deliver some of the extras I bought, they did not include some of part I bought for the bike and said they are working on it. I emailed them and no response on when repairs can be done the bike developed a awful just a terrible squeak after about 100 miles, you can hear from blocks away, dogs run from it. I eamiled them about this and again no answer. Bike is really cheep, NOT WORTH the inflated cost of $5800, more like a $800.
