I would not recommend this company. My machine has not been working for over 2 weeks and I can’t get them to confirm when they will come to fix it. The customer service is appalling. I have phoned and been cut off, emailed and raised a compliant and still no date. Must be better provider out there.
I am finding it impossible to make contact with them to order a service. I been trying for weeks. I have called (same as another reviewer here, you just get cut off), emailed and left messages on their website and all I have received are automated emails saying thank you for your interest in buying a unit. The last time I ordered through the app the engineer came out and said it wasn't the equipment that I had. This was what the app had set up for my account and there was no way to order a service for my equipment so I need to talk to someone to order the service. This used to be a great company when M was in the office. The engineers are treated terribly by the company too. I have never had any problem with the engineers, all very polite and helpful.
They have the worst customer service ever! Called to report an emergency , where the RO system failed in less than 3 months from replacing all filters and annual service.
The Agents you call will not give a an appointment date and they promise to treat it as an emergency. But failed to respond with the appointment date as they do not have visibility into the schedules, which is absolute bull s**t! I got an appointment 7 days later (for the emergency!) after calling and following up every day. The engineer visited on the day of appointment, spent less than 15 mins in the house and said it was fixed and that I'll have drinking water in some time. There was no water in the tank even after 4 hours of the motor running. the exact same issue I had raised the request for! Called them again and now the engineer wont respond to the agent and after 5 PM everyone is gone home! My kids and I are left with poor quality of water paying premium for the product. Complete Joke and the Agent says this is how the company was set up!
Will be raising a consumer complaint through the European small claims procedure.
Absolutely not recommended
We got our system less than 2 years ago. The engineer who installed it, tricked us to get the slightly more expensive (weird) mini version saying there wasn't enough space for the regular system to fit under the sink. Of course he could have cut out the bottom of the shelf (there are no pipes under there) to fit the regular system easily. The mini version is far less efficient for our house but we lived with it so far. We even got the yearly servicing (rip off for what they actually do), and 2 months later the system developed a fault - it was constantly re-generating, wasting tons of water. An engineer was sent after 3 days who did nothing except bypass the valves to stop the water flow and said he'll call in again with replacement parts. Then all went quiet for more than a month. Of course I kept following up and finally they sent another engineer who did the exact same thing - nothing. He told us how the original engineer had cheated us, that he should have installed the regular model (apparently the mini is not more expensive), and how hard it is to find replacement parts for the mini model and left without any solid plan of action. So here I am regretting my choice and sharing my experience with you. If you're thinking of going with this company or Culligan as they are called now - think again!
Worst customer experience EVER! I have been with EWT for over 10 years and the customer service has just declined over the years as the service cost has increased and the quantity of salt reduced. Currently I have been waiting for over 6 weeks to get a service engineer out to fix a problem and service our water softener - you can never get a "customer ambassador" on the phone as the calls just drop off after a couple of minutes - I STRONGLY advise you look anywhere else for you water needs - not EWT!
Used to be big advocate of EWT until this year. System serviced in February at cost of €170 and it stopped working shortly afterwards. Engineer called out and spent 10 mins at address and left. Blocked injector and told me to pour hot water over the
salt. Still not working and customer service told me I'll have to wait weeks for engineer. Into my 3rd week now of waiting and their system will be replaced by another companies. Kettle, shower doors, washing machines all destroyed with lime.
Update - called to enquire about engineer attending and they didn't have any record of one being requested. Different installer contacted and the EWT system is being withdrawn. Done with wasting my time and money. Absolutely shocking customer service.

have had a water softener with EWT for about 8 years now, at first it was great and the customer care was absolutely fantastic, I got my system serviced with these guys each year, they send you a reminder to get it serviced and book it in. the service was €99. then a couple if years ago the company was sold, things went seriously downhill. I had a very serious resin leak which took them along time to send someone out. when he did arrive he replaced a small white filter, with the amount of resin that leaked out I asked should the resin not be replaced, he said no, no need. recently I realised I hadn't heard from them about a service, so I rang them, hot through to some guy in india, he told me my unit wasn't serviced for 2 years, since the resin leak, even though in that period I rang many times to say the softener wasn't working as I had to keep descaling the kettle. so when the guy came yo service it, he told me it wasn't working and I had to ring EWT again to make another appointment to have him fix it. I did that and when he came out told me there was NO RESIN IN THE TANK!! so I had been putting salt in a machine for 2 years thst was a waste of time and money, even though I repeatedly told them over that 2 years it wasn't working. the service now is costing over €170,
which I asked them to waive as the unit wasn't working for 2 years. they refused....... eventually an engineer xslled to replace the redin that leaked and when he done that the water pressure to my taps was so bad the washing machine and dishwasher would not work, the engineer told me it wasn't working due to there being no resin in the unit for so long, he told me he would send in the report that it was not working and was unrepairable, but admitted they would not contact me about replacing it. my advice would be GO SOMEWHERE ELSE this lot who own EWT NOW are nothing but cowboys. stay very far away ftom them...
they also dramatically increased the price of the salt, and reduced the size of the bags ftom 25kg to 15kg...

Our annual service is over due and ive been waiting for weeks for EWT to return my call and emails but no one is replying. I spoke to an agent on two occasions and he hung up on me the second time I called.EWT were up to now very reliable but not anymore.If your thinking of getting a water system installed go to another company,I wouldn't recommend EWT

I have been calling to get an engineer appointment for the last 3 weeks with no joy, I went ahead to pay for an engineer visit and salt online. My softener has broken down and has been clogging the pipes that supply the house and messed up the pressure of the water that runs into the house as you can feel the particles of the salt, how do we go about reporting this CRAP company, need to get in the regulators as they can sit on monies paid for their services and salt bags without any response. RUBBISH COMPANY MOST LIKELY AVOID

I ordered my service on 10th May and at the time I was advised 2 weeks approx wait time. 3.5 weeks later I had no update; I live in an area which has extremely hard water and I got this installed particularly because of underfloor heating and to protect my appliances. I spoke to Customer Care 31 May and was advised I would hear back at least by end of next working day - I gave them 2 additional working days before I emailed with photos of my appliances full of lime. In this email I was advised by Care Team that the service is still working and it isn't a problem - perhaps they should have checked that first as the salt was not going down - then they told me to add warm water and break it up with a brush - that does not work... this was 7th June - still no appointment date or communication.
Whatever is going on in EWT needs to be addressed as you will not have any more customers if this is what you do and how you address "customer care", no follow up, no updates - no ability to even manage expectations if there are issues that are causing your delays. I will be looking at alternatives to EWT and I am going to encourage others where possible to AVOID AVOID AVOID.

I have an ewt softener installed in my house since 2014,had no complaints over many years of service's and salt purchases.Until now I contacted them with a lot of perseverance in early April for a service .After a none commitment to a date from them after many phone calls emails I have just given up .This company must not still be trading

I had a terrible experience with EWT Technologies regarding my water softener system. After reporting a malfunction on April 8th, 2024, which caused extensive damage to my property, I was promised priority service. However, their response was dismal. An initial appointment was abruptly cancelled, costing me a day of work. When an engineer did come, he damaged my cupboard shelf and flooded my kitchen. Despite their "10 years parts warranty," EWT refused to replace my faulty system, citing high chlorine levels as the cause, and ignoring the significant issues I faced.
Their customer service is unresponsive, and their promises of a "Perfect Customer Experience" are empty. The ordeal ended with EWT trying to charge me €749 for a replacement, even after I lost two water pumps, had my taps and air to water heating unit blocked, and had to replace my shower, and flush all the system and clean the tank in the attic, all because of their faulty system. I would not recommend EWT Technologies to anyone based on my awful experience. Avoid them at all costs.

the worst company I have dealt with in my life . The service is great when they want you to get the water softner installed but once you do and any issues arise don't expect to hear back from them. Their engineer made a mistake fitting ours which cost us 280 in emergency plumber bills. EWT have been nothing but unprofessional about it. There staff see your number on there screen and hang up on the calls. Wish I had never went to this company in the first place. Wouldn't recommend to anyone. Stay away from EWT

Raised a complaint through their app as well which says someone will contact in 24 hours, but no response in 5 days now. Awful service and someone rightly said, once you paid the money they are nowhere to be seen. Stay away if you have not fell into their trap already like me!!
