As expected phoning them led to nothing except the chargeback thing
I'd seen the reviews on here before I phoned so wasn't really expecting what I'd ordered to ever arrive. Got probably the same story blah blah leading to the chargeback spiel. Didn't really spend that much so didn't feel like harassing some poor student or whoever they have on the phones at these places over it all. Of course it's not good enough, so I just hope adding my voice to these opinions might help those who've lost a lot of money over whatever this company is up to. I've rated one star as although personally I didn't feel as if the experience was of malicious intent, there just seems too much of it going on that there is none.
Worst Computer Hardware company, AVOID!
This is how my transaction went:
1. Placed order
2. Money taken and got an estimated delivery date
3. Two weeks pass delivery date over, no e-mails on order status and no item
4. I call them to find out that the item is not in stock and this is when my order status gets updated. I had to call them to find out or I would have waited forever.
5. I advised them I want a full refund so they tell they have raised it with the Returns department.
6. Three weeks pass and no refund or e-mails to notify of anything.
7. I call them up and they say they will chase it.
8. I get an e-mail later saying they cant issue a refund and i have to call my bank and file a dispute to get my refund, seriously WTF?!
9. I call my bank and had to go out my way and spend my time to get my money back, worst company ever!
Worst company ever, please avoid with your life!
Radio silence
Ordered product over a month ago, nearly a month later than the suggested delivery date and no sign of the product. emails unanswered but they have the money. Will keep trying, but have ordered the product elsewhere

I ordered a printer cartridge on 10th October, the money was taken from my account on 14th October and then nothing. Various phone calls and emails later, it appears they had 'problems' with my order which I cancelled and asked for a refund.Now they cannot give me my refund due to 'problems with their previous payment merchant'. They suggest I pursue it with my bank.

ROBBING BASTARDS!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ordered new PC at beginning of October. Never turned up. Was ringing them loads of times being held in queue for up to half hour only to be put onto voice mail. Couldn't leave message coz it was FULL!!
Just got my phone bill and YIP you guessed it bloody £90.00.
To date still no PC.
I've cancelled order by email but had nothing back to confirm its been cancelled, so £296 out of pocket for PC plus £90 for phone calls.
The worst service ever, thieves
Ordered a Wii on the 3rd October and money taken from credit card. Order was cancelled and advised I would get a refund. Credit Card statement came and no refund. Called today 5th November and have been advised that they can''t refund my money due to a merchant bank problem and I need to contact my Credit Card company to dispute the transaction and get a refund. I will now be refunded by credit card company in 30 days. Overall 2 months to get my month back for something that was never in stock or sent. I would go else where if I was you.
Failed to achieve the level of service advertised
Ordering process was easy with a promise items should be dispatched in a few working days - After 3 weeks of waiting the items were chased and an apology received for the delay. Communication received then advised that due to a delay shipping would be 5 to 7 days. Items arrived after the 7 days. Poor start, great finish.
What can I say?
This is not really a review, but no item has arrived yet to discuss.
It's over three weeks since placing an order that was to be delivered on 18 October.
Calling the extak number proved unhelpful, as it moved from holding in a queue, to voicemail, and finally to 'unable to accept new messages'.
Any advice?

Disgraceful. I ordered a birthday present for my 8 year old granddaughter 3 weeks ago. The birthday came and went . No present and although promised an immediate refund 2 weeks ago, no refund either.Now in the hands of my credit card company.

Incompetent. Complete waste of time... AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
Placed an order on the 10th, chased on the 21st only to be told it had not been shipped and would be with me in 5 working days. Chased a second time on 31st where they still couldn't tell me if it has been dispatched. Waste of time on all accounts.
no item, no refund
did not receive the camera and they could not issue a refund so I had to go through my bank to get the money back.
Failed at every turn.
I ordered a scanner and was advised the order would take up to 5 days to arrive. I noticed that the price (over £160) had been deducted from my credit and when the scanner didn't turn up I tried to ring Extak but after a few minutes a recorded message told me I could not leave a message. I checked the Extax website to find the scanner I had ordered was not in stock. Several emails later regarding the refund of my money I received one which said Extak was unable to credit my card and that I must go through my credit card company for them to make a claim.
Never again.

Exactly as last reviewer ... item (nearly £400) was not delivered, then I was told could I wait 5-7 days. I asked if it would definitely be delivered in that period an was Emailed today as below ...

UNRELIABLE
We ordered a product and a week later it was still not out for shipment. After calling a number of times and not getting though I emailed regarding the delivery. I then received a reply stating that the product ordered was out of stock. I found this inacceptable as they were more than happy to take the money and keep quiet for as long as possible! When requesting a refund for the item I was told that they are unable to do this as they hay have had an issue with the payment merchant so I should dispute it with the bank. Overall I was extremely dissatisfied with the service and would not recommend Extak to anyone.
How is this company still in business?
Ordered some Duplo for my Daughter. Order never came. No response from messages left and not able to get passed number 3 in the queue. Raised dispute with bank. Am now reporting to Trading Standards. How is this company still in business? DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I checked Companies House website to check this was a registered business before ordering, I just wished I had delved a little further and found the reviews.
