Amazing Knowledge, Poorly Managed
I wish I could give them 5 stars but I cant. The quality of information taught is excellent and deserves 5 stars, but the people who run the school are disorganized, unresponsive to students and disrespectful to staff and to their students time. The main flying stars teacher “Master Joao”, is rude to his staff in front of class, says he will answer questions but doesn’t, promises to clarify things in another class but it usually does not happen, and says you can whatsapp or email questions but they never get answered. You send in your work to get corrected and it takes months to receive feedback on your projects or homework and only after you ask many times or pressure them in a social setting to respond to you. They care more about their image than giving students knowledge they can apply. They manipulate and control by withholding knowledge, not clarifying things or answering questions. Their goal is for you to pay to take more classes instead of making sure you can apply what they are teaching you on your own home. The knowledge they teach is fantastic and you get a lot for what you pay but the lack of support for students is very very sad and disappointing. Many students are frustrated and left feeling abandoned and lost when they need direction the most. The students that go to Lisbon in person for the last class in the diploma program will get their diploma but the ones that cant go in person just get led on for months about how and to whom and with what information is needed to submit their final project to pass and receive the diploma! They say an exam will take place on certain date but there is no clarity on when its due, what time, what is a passing grade and what is not a passing grade. The lack of respect for the students is offensive. If you say an exam will take place and be sent out on a day it should be sent out and if there is an issue everyone signed up to take the exam should be notified ASAP by email that there is an issue and it will be delayed and why. Its disrespectful to not clearly communicate and set clear expectations about something so important as the final exam! I have no regrets learning the knowledge they offer, but I can’t recommend them due to the poor communication, time wasting disorganization, gaslighting of students and terrible treatment of staff.
