Poor quality items even worse customer service

I ordered their brass necklace and bracelet. The yellow gold coating came off in less than two weeks and they told me I could not return the items. Customer service also did not offer to refund the poor quality item. I will NEVER buy from this company again.

Make sure you call and message them at least 4 times about each and every product because tons, and I mean TONS of necessary information such as sizing and still holes are constantly left out!

A little recommendation.

Great customer service, I always get what I pay for and then some! Been a customer for years now. I'm a huge fan of the Bosses bead bags! You never know what you are going to get!! The only reason I am giving four stars instead of five is that they do not maintain my gift certificate balance between orders, and I always have some money left over and would like to utilize said money for more purchases if I can.

Good quality, extremely annoying policies

Their quality is pretty good, but I’ve been ordering from them for years and only started to have issues after 9 years. The 1-star is because their inflexibility with modifying orders (even the same day after placing one) and unwillingness to replace items that aren’t up to their (usually pretty good) quality standards is abhorrent. A company that strives to provide quality products should provide quality service with flexibility baked in.

What happened?

I have been buying produced from them for many years. I had a rough experience in Aug. 2024 (the date below is a guess). I made a purchase using PayPal, they sent it to an old address, from 8 years ago! I had to reorder and eat the first purchase payment. I’m not sure what happened but, customer service did put a note in my file. The thing that freaked me out was I had been receiving purchase for the last 7 years at my new address. I was very disappointed in the way this was handled.
Secondly all my back purchase aren’t showing up?
Feeling jilted in Texas!

Cheap Knockoffs Advertised

Incredulous when I saw the latest mini-booklet! Everything was geared for wholesalers, which make legitimate, hard-working artisans’ creations WORTHLESS. We spend hundreds of hours creating, with the highest quality jewelers components while people like FMG advertises pieces for $5-$20 that are made in Asian!
No wonder I haven’t had a sale for 12 years! This does nothing for the education I have gotten & the time & precision I take!
Shame on all those who promote machine made, substandard, pure crap. A total insult!!!!!

Their Ming Tree seed beads are a joke. Out of an entire bead shovel full of beads, I found two that were round and uniform. They are absolutely worthless. And because I checked out as a guest (I think) I can't go to the order and leave a review.

My order was sent to the wrong address

My order was sent to the wrong address. I'm in PA; tracking shows package was delivered to NC. (I've never lived in NC; been at this same address in PA for over 40 years!)
Chat rep tells me it's up to me to call NC post office and chase package down; refused to reship.
I'm out $50, and absolutely done with this business.

Selling faulty product and refusing to return or credit because you had to open a product to use it.

They have ridiculous policies and very bad customer service! Today I opened a $20 bottle of liver of sulfur, and have waited over an hour with absolutely no result! Every other liver of sulfur has worked on the same wire products within minutes. I have a defective product. But since it is "opened" it cannot be returned or exchanged! The agent had the audacity to say that they don't allow people to "sample" a product and if it isn't to their liking to allow returns! What kind of bullsh!t is that? Any legit business returns a product or at least gives credit for a faulty product! How is someone supposed to know whether a product works unless they use it?! Also, last time I had ordered, I was missing 5 items and the same agent kept promising to send the replacement and I had to be on her every few weeks, it was over 2 months before I got the product I had paid for! Fire Mountain Gems has the WORST customer service and has lost a customer who spends hundreds of dollars with them.

I've been ordering from FMG for years…

I've been ordering from FMG for years and am shocked (and a little curious) how there could be so many negative reviews. And I also go to the Tucson Gem Show (I like the variety there) so have experience buying beads. FMG website has an amazing quick product search, my orders arrive within a week or less (always) and the products are good. The only reason I went off their site was to search for reviews about a particular clasp. I've had nothing but great experiences.

Still waiting, 2 months after ordering and paying for products

Placed an order on Feb. 18th, got notification it shipped on Feb. 20th. I emailed them on March 18th and they replied saying FedEx was behind on their shipping and it should be another week. We'll it has been 8 weeks now and there is no sign of my order. My email at week 7 has not been answered. So they have had my money for 2 months and I have no products. They are not reliable and I would warn anyone about ordering from them.

If there were 0 stars, that would be what they deserve!
Their website shows fedex delivery about max 8 days.
It’s been already 3 months since I placed order which I never got, and track number doesn’t show me anything. I’ve been contacting to support services several times about my order, but only what they said that they give full 6 weeks for delivery and they working with feedex company for faster delivery and tracking order, but in the same time they said they can’t tell me where is my order. Reading all these reviews, there was an opinion that it is not a fact that my warrant was sent to me at all.

Very very disappointed

Took my money, missing product/damaged products

I was missing 5 items and also received a damaged item out of a packageof gemstonedonut focals, chatted with customer service about it. Was told replacements would be sent out and that I'd get a credit for my damaged item if I didn't want to pay out of my own pocket to return damaged item. I received no confirmation number, no shipping info, no tracking number...it's been almost 3 weeks. I've emailed them twice asking for info and I'm not getting any response. They keep sending me catalogs, promo emails, and yet no one responded to my emails, I just tried using the chat option and typed in the whole situation the notification pops up saying there's no one to chat with at this time at 320on a Monday afternoon!

Poor customer service, high prices

Although customer serve over the years has never been stellar with these folks, it has gotten decidedly worse over the last year. Everything is very expensive and the wholesale discounts are beyond a joke. Items are missing or broken every single time (as previously mentioned by other customers), so I suspect that there is very little quality control. In regards to FMG customer service, after you wait forever in the queue the people answering the phone are astoundingly rude and sarcastic! This order was my last, they have lost my (I'm a professional beadworker/jeweler) and my family's business. Given the number of bad reviews I have now seen all over the internet and social media, it's a wonder these folks are still in business. Things used to be a lot better. Not recommended, buyer beware!
