To be called ethical guardians is very high praise and we are proud to say we rise to that by trading directly with hand-picked cocoa farmers, working with them to ensure they get the best out of their cocoa crops and paying them above and beyond the 'farm-gate price' to make cocoa a sustainable livelihood.

We always ask if you would prefer us to wait until a heat wave is over. The reason being that after all the months of growing, expert harvesting, drying and fermenting, then the 3 months our cocoa beans take to get us from these remote volcanic islands, before we take the time to roast, grind, conch and carefully hand pack your chocolate, we wouldn't want you to receive your order in anything less than perfect condition. It would seem a shame after all that care and attention to not maintain these high standards!

Great product , great service
Website is informative and nice to know where the beans come from and are different. Really speedy delivery. I bought a set of different percentage choc to try, not through them all, but what I've tasted so far has been good. Nice to have some tasting notes too. Recommend to anyone - much better than any sweet, rubbish choc you can get in a supermarket, and good to support a uk company
