Dispute case

I have been a member of the First Tech Credit Union since 2009. In September 2025, my credit card had fraudulent activity with unauthorized transactions. Leonardo, Financial Services Representative in the Tanasbourne office, helped me to resolve this case. I have used bank services for decades and found Leonardo to be the best example of outstanding professionalism, courtesy, helpfulness and resourcefulness that I have ever experienced.
I wanted you to know that he is a definite asset to your organization and that I much appreciate his efforts.

Christopher Ray was available on short notice to deposit funds into a CD. On my query, he explained clearly the process of NCUA insurance and how it is applied to my account. Amazing Customer Service

Christopher is very helpful, insightful and provides excellent customer service. My husband and I worked with Christopher recently to upgraded our First Tech checking & savings accounts to the First Tech Premier accounts. Since then, he has made a sincere effort to get to know us and our goals. He has made suggestions and pointed us toward more favorable CD products. He is very responsive to our questions and concerns, often getting back to us within a few hours. He is a pleasure to work with. Outstanding Service

Hashim Hunaidi, Premier Financial Representative, is the best! I've worked with him for several years. He helped my husband and I set up a CD very quickly. Besides being very knowledgeable, he has excellent listening / communication skills and is very quick in responding to my banking needs. Hashim is a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend him.

Quality Customer Experience

June 21- It was a very hectic morning and only one teller was handling a long slow line of customers and it was going to be a while until our turn. Jams who had been working with a customer at a desk finished up with her client and came and connected with the person ahead of us to offer assistance. She helped that person then came back over to offer to help myself and my partner. She handled both of our banking needs with a very pleasant and helpful approach. This was not her regular branch and she was great with the variables in the system from one branch to the other. She has a very good customer service approach and is a credit to First Tech. She made our experience easy and efficient.

I have written a review before on this…

I have written a review before on this company because I had a fraudulent account opened in my name. I had been getting statements saying it was overdrawn even after I contacted them... sending appropriate documents to clear it up. I had to freeze my credit, do police reports, fill out affidavits ...more than the folks opening the account! I even got turned over to collections 3 times after this was cleared. Today I got another bank statement on the same account!! Same amounts....I waste 30 or 40 minutes every time I call. So I'm back here to say," what is wrong with these folks?"...can't they understand there is no such account anymore. It is closed..please stop sending me anything. I am really tired of dealing with your problem. Please!!!!

I wanted to move money over to them…

I wanted to move money over to them just to diversify my holdings, logged in, and 'voila', no accounts could be accessed. Found out they closed them. They had my 'same' phone number (yes I kept it for years) and updates on my address, but never informed me that they had 1.) sent me a check and closed my account. 2.) until two days ago, never ever used my phone number until I reported them to the FEDS for stealing my money because they refused to 're-issue' a cheque because the one they sent never came to me ever. Bigger isn't always better. On another note, when I was in their neighborhood I had asked them about popping my money into a C.D. account, one of their people said; "Oh, I'll get right back to you" but never e-mailed or called. Lucky moi! I wouldn't park used gum there at this C.U. Just a couple years ago they had such an egregious security breach of customer's accounts because of their ineptitude, allowing someone to hack them. When that happened during COVID, the lines were almost around the block for people trying to get 'new' accounts due to the breach. Anyway, for Portland 'morons' this would be a good place to do business, but like Riverview C.U., another 'toilet' C.U., where I was supposed to be able to get ATM fees waived per what they told me, they never did. All in all it was a cloud with a silver lining that they in fact closed the account. I can only imagine how robbed I'd feel if tens of thousands of dollars suddenly went 'missing' and no phone call, no notification, no nothing, and certainly in the case of the 'no cheque' to replace the one they still owe me..I think I'd be catatonic had I actually put any money of any sizeable amount in there for their safe keeping.

Only good point was their 'share branch' transactions made them feasible, but I'd not recommend them ever. They still haven't settled up with me by issuing a new cheque for what they owed me when they closed the account without notification. That's very sadly another scam, knowing full well that a lot of others most likely got rooked just like I did. Stay away from these guys.
