Good quality product

Customer service and communication needs major improvement. I ordered a set of 2 x 7.5kg dumbbells on January 3rd and contacted the company on January 10th to request an update via WhatsApp.

After a couple of automated responses I got a reply on January 13th indicating that there was a backlog in the warehouse and that I'd have my item within 1-2 business days. That was on a Tuesday morning and by Saturday I had no updates, no tracking number and no product.

I contacted customer service a few minutes before their advertised availability yesterday, January 17th. Automated response followed by a human response assuring me they'd get me an update. I messaged back a couple of hours later and got the automated out-of-hours reply at around 1:30pm indicating their availability lasted until 2pm Saturday.

I've ordered from Fitness Equipment Ireland before and found the products to be very high quality but this experience has really soured my impression of the company.

If there was a delay, why did I have to reach out myself to learn that? Why was I assured it'd be there within a specific time frame if that wasn't the case? Why was there no follow up?

EDIT: The customer service manager made it their personal responsibility to not only apologise for the delay and the lack of contact, giving me a direct line and ensuring a new shipment arrived as quickly as possible.

As with previous products I'm very happy with my purchase but delighted with the accountability and ownership taken to make thing right.

I found Fitness Ireland to be excellent. I ordered very late for Christmas. They confirmed it would get to me before the 23rd Dec and it did. Great service and really good equipment.

Easy to order online and fast to collect. Erg Concept 2 are are great quality products and I'm delighted with my rower, easy to install, connected to Ergdata app to optimize your performance.

It made the collection super easy.

I ordered a gym bench 20/12/25 and it still hasn't arrived. Seemingly it was sent to the wrong depot for delivery and I was informed last wk it was being corrected.
When I check on the ups tracker it is still at the stage of when the label was created. I'd like to know will I ever get it or should I cancel the order. My 2 teenage boys keep asking about it.
I presume ups is the problem
Maybe fitnessireland could use a different courier.

UPDATE
I received the above bench on the 19/1. Throughout the whole process from order to delivery fitnessireland customer service via email was second to none. They did their best in getting my order to me by despatching a second bench which unfortunately also got delayed via ups. The 1st one is still out there somewhere. I would order from this company again but would hope a different courier was used especially if an order is particularly heavy or cumbersome.

After getting let down on a order of a pool table waited 3 weeks before Christmas.I ordered from Fitness Equipment Ireland on the Thursday and the pool table was delivered on Friday morning at 8.30am. fantastic service.

Always efficient with delivery, products are good quality and at fair prices. Can't fault them, I've bought a few pieces for my home gym off them and will hopefully get more!
