I have been looking for a job for a long time. The market is very difficult at the moment. This agency contacted me out of the blue, saying they have a role for me. I was very interested and sent 2 CV's to Fox Morris. They confirmed I have been invited for an interview. Gave me the details of the Team meeting. As with all interviews I, prepared, researched and planned for the interview. On the day, I still hadnt received the link. Chased the agent several times who never turned my calls, so I contacted the company direct. There was no job, no interview and they had not employed the agent. Total scam, total sham.

Divash was great. I appreciated the help, support and the efficiency with which he responded to each of my many queries.

I have just finished a 12 month commission which FM sorted for me. I have dealt with Khalsa, who has been brilliant, excellent communication and has replied to all my queries almost immediately Thank you Khalsa, hopefully our paths will cross again

This recruiter contacted me, unsolicited, regarding a role. I was somehow rejected with no feedback as to why despite strong and relevant experience. I suspect this is some sort of attempt to harvest data, but for what purpose, I do not know.

Extremely disappointing treatment from Fox Morris Group.

After working on a long-term local authority placement, my contract was terminated while I was off sick with a valid fit note. I was not properly informed at the time and only discovered what had happened when I contacted them myself, just 5 days before I was due to return to work.

I was then left having to chase answers regarding the termination and my SSP. I have now had to take the matter further by raising it with ACAS and HMRC.

For me, the biggest issue is simple: how a company treats its contractors when things become difficult says everything about its professionalism.

After the commitment I gave to the job, I expected considerably better communication, transparency and respect.

My experience has left me with absolutely no confidence in Fox Morris Group, and I would not recommend them to other contractors.

I’ve been dealing with James at Fox Morris Group and honestly, he’s been brilliant. He’s genuinely personable not the usual “recruiter script” you sometimes get and he actually keeps you in the loop without you having to chase. Really appreciate the effort he put in.

James has been fantastic with me. He made everything easy. I’ll definitely recommend Jame to anyone

Got a call just before 5pm asking if I were up for a job the next day. I accepted and sent over my documents and signed an application form.
The next day still no response, no idea what the pay or times are. I show up and do the job anyway and after I ask again for more details and how much I'llbe paid (which they didn't know apparently).
They said they'll send a timesheet by email but nothing yet.
So disorganised, unprofessional, and potentially a scam since I haven't recieved money for my day's work yet.

On the whole I would say a positive experience. The team have looked after me well. Thank you

Only thought really, communication could be a bit better, the odd check in would be nice and most importantly, ensure that a conversation happens at a contract extension point. It would be great for contractors to know that an automatic accept is not taken and an opportunity to discuss the working conditions and day rate is taken. The bottom line being, if they are being extended, the client likes how they work. My role massively changed to what I was recruited for and not sure as my agent you were informed by the client or aware of these changes

Khalsa and Chloe are true professionals and I would not hesitate to recommend them. Khalsa has been attentive, professional and taken great care to listen to my needs and put me forward for my perfect role. Chloe is so on the ball and got my documentation ready asap. Definitely deserving of 5 stars..

All the staff have been very friendly, helpful and supportive. My money has actually gone in earlier than advised both weeks to date too.

Ella I truly appreciate the professionalism and collaboration in our interactions. which is quite refreshing to experience in this line of work. You are consistent and dynamic, always getting the work done on time, Your drive and persistence are commendable, and I believe you do a fair job of balancing all parties' interests. One area for growth could be improving negotiation for higher pay rates for clients. Overall, I'd be delighted to work with you again.

I've never had any dealings with this company, and they're based a long way from where I live (I'm in Sussex and they're in the Midlands), but they've written to me twice (at the address on my CV) to thank me for applying for a job they don't name, asking me to take a survey. Why would I when I don't even know who they are?

I had a really positive experience working with Jas and chloe. THey were professional, supportive, and kept me updated throughout the whole process. communication was excellent, and they made compliance straightforward and stress-free. I appreciated how quickly everything was organised, and I’m pleased to be starting a new role thanks to their support.

Very disappointed with this recruiting company. Unprofessional communication, lack of follow-up, and unclear job details throughout the process. Felt like my time was wasted. Would not recommend.

The team looks after the budget setting process, in-year reporting, capital programme co-ordination, closure of accounts and treasury management

Qualified Accountant, preferably CIPFA but other recognised professional Accountancy qualifications – CGMA, ACCA etc
Local Authority / Local Government experience
Strategic / Corporate Finance experience – Year End Accounts/Preparation of Financial Statements and external audit, Capital Programme and Capital Accounting, Technical knowledge (IFRS, UK GAAP, CIPFA Code of Practice), IFRS16 adoption
IT Literate, Good Communication skills

They have no idea of what job they are placing a candidate for or what skills and qualifications are required for the positions.
