The positive reviews on here are bought and paid for and probably AI Rubbish personal experience of buying a Garmin watch that was promised in 3-4 days. No its suddenly not in stock and won't be available for 15 days. Not acceptable as I need the watch sooner for an event. No refund available apparently. Avoid at all costs!!

Gaslighty reply is nonsense and I have screenshots to prove the 3/4 day delivery estimate. The refund has been issued since this negative feedback on Trust pilot after getting nowhere with emails... this review will probably be deleted due to telling the truth further proving my claims of fake overly positive reviews. Come to your own conclusions and read between the lines.

I am writing this to warn international customers about my experience with Francis & Gaye. I was searching for a specific, "shiny black" Longines wristband for my upcoming wedding. Having found it on their site (despite it being sold out everywhere else) I double checked the reference number and placed the order. Living in Europe, I knew this would involve high shipping and import duties, but I was willing to pay for the "perfect" wedding item.

The Issue: My initial skepticism was justified. They sent the wrong item because it was incorrectly labeled on their website. The reference number on the physical sticker of the item I received did not match the reference number advertised online.

The Stressful Aftermath: With my wedding day approaching, I contacted customer service. Not only was there no apology for the stress caused, but I discovered they have no return procedure for overseas orders.

Financial Loss: I had to pay for the return shipping myself (tracked and insured) just to get the wrong item back to them.
- Import Duties: They refused to refund the import taxes caused by their mistake, instead referring me to a complex postal carrier procedure that only recovers about 50% of the cost.
- Poor Communication: Even after the package arrived back at their shop, I had to chase them a month later to actually receive the refund for the item itself.

Total Loss: In the end, I am 150 Euros out of pocket (shipping + import duties + return costs) and I have no wristband for my wedding. I effectively paid 150 Euros for the "privilege" of correcting Francis & Gaye's inventory error.

If you are ordering from outside the UK, be extremely careful. Their errors will become your financial burden.

I purchase a watch at a great price (over 2k) and it was shipped swiftly and all seemed great but I had a problem. I called their customer support twice for help and they promised to investigate why the watches clasp would not close and to call me back with advice. No response back from either rep or any further support from them. This was so dissapointing from an authorised Seiko outlet.
I had to get help from eleswhere.
I won't be buying from them again.

I have ordered a watch ax a gift. It promised a 48 hour delivery. This has passed. The watch has not been dispatched nor have I had the courtesy of an explanation.I raised my concern and recieved a fob off email. I notice this is a pattern in their reviews. I feel I have no option but to contact trading standards. Buyer beware!

Honestly what a fantastic company. They want to do business and well. Ordered a Junghans Meister got a slight discount as well but email communication was amazing. The watch was special to mark a very difficult time in my life. It’s so nice to see a company priding itself on communication and customer experience. Thank you.

In a very competitive market Francis & Gaye Jewellers have the edge by being dynamic and wanting to do business.

I phoned them up about a Mud Master G-Shock, they agreed to discount it over and above other retailers, changed the price online whilst I was on the phone, so I brought it!!!!

And then........a mate died.

To be honest I really wanted a Tissot Sports watch that I'd seen in Gran Canaria, but it was twice the retail price of the G-Shock.

I had a chat with Francis Gaye again, explained the situation and that I wanted the watch within a couple of days as I was flying abroad for my 60th.

Again, they wanted to do business and agreed a good price, again they were dynamic by changing the price online whilst I was on the phone and again they were understanding and professional and ensured a next day delivery.

The return forth G-Shock was seamless too.

Great company that quite a few out there could learn from.

Another positive purchase experience.
Having placed an order for a watch from another authorised dealer, I was advised the model was out of stock with a delivery lead time of 3 weeks. As the watch was for a gift, the lead time was beyond the date I wanted to deliver the watch on.
I searched the internet for the watch make and model and found Francis and Gaye had stock with inclusive next working day delivery. The first AD offered me a 15% discount, I asked Francis and Gaye if they could price match and they were willing to do so.
I paid for my watch in the afternoon and received it the following morning.
Such a swift, easy and pleasurable purchase experience. Their customer support team are quick to respond and are very happy to help. I can wholeheartedly recommend Francis and Gaye Jewellers.

Appalling service from a company that doesn’t reply to customers concerns/queries.

I purchased two Hamilton watches, one arrived in what looked like in a used condition with no protective case back cover and a strap that was the wrong round and looked lightly used.

Despite several emails over two days ( Friday and Saturday ) I received no reply. I was happy to keep the other watch but then saw it cheaper elsewhere and found their customer support to be far more customer friendly.

Not a retailer I would purchase from again to be honest.

First time buying an expensive (for me) watch. Knew the brand and model I wanted. Francis & Gaye’s website is informative, giving all the information needed, clearly and understandable.
Bought the watch, it arrived the next day with all the paperwork and box.

I was looking for a nice watch to buy. And I bought it, From this store. £1700 and a few days later, I got the watch. Lovely watch. Did they come back with some sort of a follow up? Something like a "thank you", "how was the ordering process?", "are you happy with your purchase?". Nothing. A few days later, while looking at my new toy, I've noticed like a small something, not sure how to describe it, like a a sort of micro opening on one side of the watch. I'm sure it's nothing and it's probability how it should be, but just to make sure, I've sent them an email with pictures and everything. No reply. Nothing. Complete silence.

I was looking to buy one or two more watches for family members. Will I consider this store again? Absolutely not. I can't even imagine what would happen if something goes wrong with this watch and I have to send it back.

As a keen Seiko watch fan and collector, the latest non-limited reinterpretation of Seiko’s significant and noteworthy 1968 300m professional divers watch really spiked my interest. I had reservations whether Seiko’s latest Marinemaster watch would live up to the reputation of its predecessor and encompass the quality and capture the heritage of the former model. But upon unboxing my new SLA079J1 bought from the excellent Francis and Gaye with a good discount, all my expectations were exceeded.
The watch oozes quality, the case finishing is the finest I’ve seen and it is as good as any Grand Seiko I’ve experienced.
The bracelet is a noticeable step up from the previous SLA021J1 version, having better finishing and shorter links. The whole watch wears more comfortably without the top-heaviness of the previous ‘Professional’ version.
This watch retains the excellent MEMS technology hand assembled calibre 8L35 Grand Seiko derived movement, but it no longer features the monoblock case design. Subsequently the case is noticeably thinner and much more proportional on the wrist. And servicing the watch will be cheaper and easier with the screw down case back.
The dial detail is perfection, exquisitely finished with the textured surface that becomes visible under certain lights and angles.
The Lumibrite Lume on the hands and markers is of Seiko’s finest and it does not disappoint, even though the indices are smaller than the earlier model.
The only slight disappointment is the lack of the on-the-fly bracelet extender as fitted to the previous Marinemaster 300 model; you get the stamped fold-out divers extension on this latest model which is a backward step.
But as a package, the latest Seiko SLA079J1 Marinemaster is worthy of the name; it is a real winner for Seiko which brings their flagship diver well into the 21st century.
Overall, a very high quality, versatile, and extremely legible wrist watch suitable for every occasion that wears so much better than its heavy and tall predecessor.
A modern-day ISO rated professional tool watch that still retains that special Seiko heritage, the 1968 dive watch DNA, and that perfect case design language. If you have any reservations about Seiko’s latest non-limited flagship dive watch, you can disregard them now.
In closing, I can’t recommend Francis and Gaye enough as the best authorised Seiko dealer I have purchased watches from. Their customer service is second to none, they are fast to respond and always happy to assist. A firm 5 star rating from me.
