It takes far too long from order shipping. And then another ion with fedex. I won’t order again unless it’s for next year’s garden

Very poor quality of plants
Very poor quality of plants. I wish I had looked for reviews before ordering. Luckily I placed a smaller order before placing a larger order to check the quality. Buy cheap, buy twice. Id avoid if considering ordering
The wrong plants arrived and no refund issued
Very poor customer service. The wrong plants arrived and customer service refuse to give me a refund despite photo evidence.
Absolutely SHOCKING service
Absolutely SHOCKING service. Ordered a gift set of bonsai tree with ceramic pot for a friend. It was delivered with the pot smashed and the bonsai roots in a state where they simply would not survive. I requested a replacement- DENIED. I requested a refund- DENIED. The only offer I got was a discount on purchase- WHEN HELL FREEZES OVER. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
I don't recommend it
I don't recommend it. I ordered a yellow Christmas Schlumbergera. They sent me a pink one. All three Christmas cacti! I haven't received a response to my two emails.
Very happy with my order
Shipping was very fast, sent on Mon and received on Thurs the same week. The bulbs and plants I got look healthy. The prices are very good compared to similar shops. I am very happy with my order.
A hugely disappointing experience...
A hugely disappointing experience with gardens4you.ie!
I received the packages on the 8th day after they were shipped. On Friday, when I was supposed to receive them (but didn't), I contacted the sender via email. I received no response.
After opening the packages, I saw everything in a terrible state. Some of the plants were dry, and the soil was extremely dry. In other pots, the soil was very wet, some of it had leaked out, and the plants were already rotting. The large plant in the second package had every leaf damaged. And these were large leaves, so the damage was very unsightly. It was supposed to be a gift for someone, but unfortunately, it can't be...
I submitted a complaint via email, but I haven't received a response for several days.
I see that this company's business model is simply this: buy, get what you get, forget about contacting us, and definitely forget about a refund. Business ethics, as you can see, is an abstract concept...
I definitely won't be ordering any plants from gardens4you.ie again!
I also definitely don't recommend this store to anyone else!
And I see I'm not alone in this...
Beautiful plants, Brilliant Price and Fast
I never leave review, but in this instance I really felt it was necessary! Poor reviews almost made me loose out and end up paying through the teeth for jasmine plants I couldn’t find at a good price anywhere!
Jasmine arrived perfectly full plumage and in bloom. Beautiful!
Other plant was more than perfect and a rake of my favourite flower bulbs for nothing less than a brilliant bargain!!
Thank you to Gardens4you and thank you for the people that left good reviews
Incredibly priced and a speedy delivery.
Great service, beautiful plants
I ordered 6 plants online 5 days ago, and only then read reviews, and I was so scared, because reviews here are terrible. I dont usually write reviews, but I want to do justice to these guys! Plants came in a box, all packed very well, all 6 plants in great beautiful condition, green and fresh. Also they provide instructions for care for beginners! Definetly will order more! Thank you gardens4you, Tamara.
AVOID! They tried to defend defective plants and stonewalled on refunding.
AVOID!
I ordered five plants including a Magnolia stellata and a standard Buddleia davidii of which both specimens were poor quality.
The magnolia they sent me had very poor form - two co-dominant leaders, a forked shape, which requires the removal of one and staking and retraining of the other to eventually achieve a stable form. Certainly not a specimen that any decent nursery would select to send to a customer.
The standard buddleia had an imperfect graft with a large, deep cavity right on the top of the stock, facing up, that will inevitably hold water and rot out.
When I emailed customer service with photos of the hole asking for a refund for only the buddleia (I was resigned to suck it up about the magnolia and attempt to prune and train it), the presumably AI customer service bot tried to fob me off claiming that this inevitably fatal defect in the graft was a “feature” of grafting!
I asked them to confirm if they were standing by their stance that this was an acceptable specimen to send to a customer, given that this hole will invariably fill with water in the Irish climate and rot. To which they responded that it was normal but that would need to be kept dry... in Ireland!!!
I asked them whether the rest of their nursery stock has this same issue. (Because if not, then I may have to conclude they might have selected the worst specimens on purpose to send to the Irish customer since that practice is an open secret in the horticultural industry in the Netherlands.) They did not respond to that enquiry.
They eventually offered me a 20% refund. Not on the order mind you, just on the price of the defective Buddleia. A measly €5.56.
I accepted it since there’s absolutely no point trying to deal with an AI bot over email, even though I rightfully should have been fully refunded for the cost of the Buddleia given it will not survive the Irish climate with a big hole in the top of it and is therefore is not fit for purpose (they claimed it would survive in my garden with the hole!). These specimens would be left on the scrap heap of any respectable Irish nursery.
I would urge all Irish customers therefore to avoid this nursery for what amounts to poor commercial practices and poor customer service in my opinion and experience.
I would have given zero stars if it was…
I would have given zero stars if it was an option. After placing my order of several indoor plants and pots, I received a poorly constructed, unprofessional email from Gardens4you customer service one day later, informing me 1 item from my order was unavailable and I needed to reply within 24 hours to confirm I wished to proceed with the rest of the order. I replied immediately, confirming I did wish to proceed. The following day I received the same email. For the second time, I confirmed I wished for the order to be delivered. Today, I received an email from Gardens4you customer service stating I had not replied and that they will process a full refund in 14 days, which is excessively longer than the standard 5 working days. I will update my review should I not receive my refund.
I was delivered a wrong variety of…
I was delivered a wrong variety of apple trees. It fruit after 3 years but a very different variety which I don’t like.
when I contacted them they replied the following,
Reply by gardens4you
“Even allowing for 1–2 years, this would bring us to 2024. We are now in 2025, and since you never contacted us earlier to report any problem, issue, or lack of fruit, we cannot reopen this order or provide a refund. Additionally, there is no proof that the tree did not come directly from our nursery. We understand your disappointment; however, considering that you have a large and healthy apple tree, we will close this claim. Furthermore, the supplier who delivers Baya Marisa trees has consistently supplied only this variety for 20 years, and we have never had any confusion with other sorts. For these reasons, we consider this matter resolved.
The plant fruit only after 3 years which is not my fault , they delivered a wrong variety which is not my fault.
Beware-Shop elsewhere 21st
Beware. My plants when they arrived were heavily water logged, extremely pot bound & half dead. Customer care suggested for optimally prepared plants I should have purchased the plants from a nursery. They even maintained that pot bound roots indicate that they are healthy. Imagine! I bet none of you gardeners out there were aware of that nonsense
5star service
5star from me,considering plants came from holland week in transit they arrived well boxed up and still damp and un damaged so im pretty pleased for both speed of shipping the price and over all service would use again really handy for getting what plants i need to the door mo messing
Waste of time
Very disappointed with my recent experience with Gardens4You. My order arrived in poor condition—plants were damaged, soil scattered throughout the box, and one of the plants (a Euphorbia trigona) was far below the stated quality and size. I sent a clear complaint with photos showing the extent of the issue, including a plant that arrived broken and unstable due to inadequate soil in the pot.
Instead of acknowledging the problem or offering a straightforward resolution, I was asked to take even more photos from different angles—despite already having sent clear images. This feels like an intentional runaround and a way to wear down the customer rather than take responsibility.
Between the poor packaging, the misleading product listing, and the obstructive customer service, I won’t be ordering from them again. There are far better plant shops out there that respect their customers' time and stand behind the quality of their products.
Avoid unless you want half dead plants
Avoid unless you want half dead plants, luckily I only got caught for €24 including FedEx delivery which took a week and a half, absolute rip off.
100% down to me as I did not read the reviews
Pity I can’t post a photo here
Half the plants came dead
Half the plants came dead, i will not purchase again from this company.
Honestly I was bit disappointed when I…
Honestly I was bit disappointed when I received the plants at beginning. They are all small in small pots. I did not expect they will flower at all.
However few months later I decided write a review. They are small because they are very cheap. They are healthy plants and they grow fast. All my plants are grow very big and flowering. I am so happy to look at them. Definitely worth to wait then write a review
Sent the wrong plant twice
Ordered a spider plant and they sent me the wrong one. That’s fine mistakes happen, refunded me (which I still Havnt received)
So I ordered again AND THEY SENT THE SAME PLANT AGAIN
I ordered a Chlorophytum Pacific and they sent a Bonnie twice, the staff here must have a lack of knowledge I won’t be buying from here again.
