I wish there were zero stars to give this company! Absolutely horrific experience. They are thieves stealing $8000 of our money with no response. We had my mother‘s 70th birthday party planned in Kauai when a hurricane hit a few days ago they will not give us any information on the status of the home or surrounding area when we clearly know there’s devastation. They will not offer us anything what they will offer is a huge headache, a huge disappointment and a terrible company to work with stay away at all costs unless you want to be completely robbed.

Let me preface by saying that almost all of the previous reviews were unjustified and demonstrated a lack of awareness on how pricing and bookings work. This is the same as every single rental company. We have rented homes for many years (from a week to a month at a time) and have never had anything but wonderful experiences.

On to our rental this summer (2026) on O'ahu. The home was immaculate, had every amenity, and the pool, water views, flora, everything was wonderful. The Gather team was incredibly responsive when we needed something (nothing significant), and we knew exactly what the cost would be (confirmed in the contract), and all details.

For those complaining, anything that takes place with your flights, illness, lack of awareness, is on you (travel insurance should be obtained). We read everything thoroughly and understand that most problems are out of the control and not the responsibility of the rental agency/property management.

We are experienced vacation renters and are very well-versed in what is and is not within an agency's control and what is the responsibility of the renter to review and understand.

Gather Vacations is an incredibly responsive and accommodating company. We highly recommend them.

Same "dynamic pricing" experenice. Quotes a rate on thursday and once I wanted to book the following day it went up 16%. Classic bait and switch

Would never recommend, was unable to get to my destination due to an airline issue, host falsely acted as if she was going to come up with a fair resolution. Stated she'd refund me a cleaning fee and 1 night. Now has taken back the one night and gave me a measly $55 out of $800+. I have contacted her, Airbnb, my bank to no avail and nobody will assist me. Host will not respond to multiple attempts from myself and Airbnb.

Offered a unit for rent on their website, accepted a deposit, provided a confirmation then said it was not available and tried to sell me on a different unit, different time, different location. Highly deceptive company dealing unethically.

We booked a rental home with gathervacations and paid upfront for our family holiday. Those holidays were very important to us and something we've been waiting for 3 years. Gathervacations sais they sent a rental agreement after I paid and that I had 24h to sign and return it. I never got this email. 3 months later when I called them to confirm we're coming they tell me the rental has been canceled because I never signed the agreement (that I never got) !
I spoke to the manager who refused to accomodate us in another property that he had available at these dates. He wanted me to pay 3 times the price I originally paid and that new property wasn't even in the same location I originally booked.

This has to be, hands down, the best addition to the mainland USA vacation rentals booking options! Locally managed homes in spotless condition. Best service I’ve ever received.
