Excellent service

Kamil at the Wellington branch of Get Connected is consistently helpful if ever I need help with my phone.
Great after sales service - much appreciated.
Would recommend this shop to anyone.

Matt in the Ludlow branch was fantastic…

Matt in the Ludlow branch was fantastic yesterday. After dropping my phone into water and then not able to do anything with it because the screen and back of the phone was cracked beyond worthwhile repair he set up a new phone and migrated all of my info across despite me not being able to remember a single password or PIN number and all done without making me feel stupid! Can’t rate the excellent service highly enough.

Excellent service

David always gives a clear guidance and assistance. I'm grateful that he does so through the medium of Welsh. I'm a novice when it comes to dealing with technology but I never feel awkward to call in and ask for any help.
He is smartly dress, pleasant in his manner and takes his times to explain and ensure that I understand how to use my phone. David is a credit to your company.

Always excellent reliable service

Jack at the Leominster branch can always be relied on to provide an extremely helpful, friendly and professional service.
I needed advice on an upgrade and he explained clearly the best option for my needs and use and set this up for me.
It is so reassuring to know that I can rely on Jack to resolve any issues I may have. Highly recommend!

Making two older people very happy.

Changing our contract was made so much easier with the help of David at the Porthmadog store. I am in my late 60's and don't really understand how phones work today, he explained & helped me so much. He is a credit to the company and my husband & myself need be able to go and see someone who can understand our frailties in this mad world. Please carry on the good work.

Great service

Great friendly service phone was broken tried everything to fix it ended up getting a new phone and transferred over all my information to the new. Great service from David at Porthmadog store

Abused by store manager

I represent a vulnerable 88 year old, on his behalf I sourced a pay as you go mobile from Get Connected in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire. The handset was overpriced compared to other retailers of the same unit but the gentleman was prepared to pay extra for same day set up and point of contact in a store. However, there were issues with the handset which rendered it no good so a refund of £120 was promised. The store manager was unable to replace the unit into the box properly and was responsible for the box being damaged but said the refund was being processed. When I phoned a few days later to report the refund had not been received, I was told to go to the shop and collect the phone as the refund was now not being issued because the box was damaged. On entering the store he shouted and swore at me in a very aggressive tone and banged the phone down on the counter shouting "there's your F'ing phone, now F off out of my shop" (full swear words used). I refused to be bullied out of the store even though I was by now shocked and intimidated so he threatened to lock me in! I pointed out that's false imprisonment! Members of the public gathered and the police were called. Long story short, I had to repeatedly ask Head office for refund and drive to another town to take the phone back as the branch I had been dealing with now closed. I was not refunded for fuel and received no apology for being threatened and abused on their premises by their staff. Absolutely appalling response to an 88 year old man being ripped off and a lone 60 year old woman being abused. They should rebrand themselves GET CONNED. Dreadful company, do not trust them. The response to my review is that a staff member from next door disputes my account. I am taking legal advice about this and have several witnesses who heard him booming swear words at me. I will not accept their response as it is not true. I urged them to view their cctv but conveniently it’s not working and they said there could be no investigation- I myself will now visit store staff in neighbouring stores but it is disgraceful that my integrity is being attacked after having already been abused and received no apology. I am in contact with our MP, that’s how strongly I feel about this and it reinforces that they are not an honest company

Thank you for your review, we are sorry to read that you are still unhappy about your experience.

As we have advised you, we were unable to investigate your complaint with the Manager in question as he had unfortunately left the business of his own accord due to the incident. We did speak to a neighbouring business owner who witnessed the majority of it and that person unfortunately did not agree with your assessment of the situation.

We did however, as you state, agree to the full refund of the device (despite the damage) which was done totally as a gesture of goodwill in an effort to find some common ground.

As stated, we are sorry to read that you are still not happy, but we do wish you all the best for the future.

So I was having problems with my phone…

So I was having problems with my phone for a while and knew I would need a new phone and my contact was up.
The very Nice young lady called Lauren in Port Talbot helped me and found me a contact which I was very happy with and also set up my new phone because I am not vey good at this stuff she stayed late to get it done as I couldn’t remember a lot of passwords which took even longer.

She was so helpful throughout she did stuff so I could have everything from old phone to new one which I would never been able to do.

I will be back there when my contract ends.

Went in for Three contract and was duped into vodaphone. Area manager restored confidence.

I went in to get a quote on a Three sim only contract. My husband persuaded me to have a new phone contract. I asked if it was true they are now both Vodaphone and Three combined and she confirmed they were. I said I wanted a Three contract. She gave me a quote for an IPhone 13. She said she would transfer all the data over for me and that I needed to take out a new contract. That was obvious because my old contract was sim only. She took 3 hours to transfer the details! I explained that I needed WhatsApp because I use it daily with my friends and grandchildren. She confirmed all was done. I got home, went into WhatsApp to let the children know I had a new phone. All my messages were there but no names just telephone numbers. I phoned the shop and was told to go back up to the shop. I had to do this on my mobility scooter! She phoned someone then took the app off and reinstalled it. After this, all but some really old messages up to 2023 were gone. Including messages from my younger sister who had passed away. She said she’d texted WhatsApp to phone her and she’d phone me. She had also given me a Three sim which she said she’d phone me to tell me to put in. A few days later I found that I’d had no phone calls or texts from anyone. I then had a text from three saying they had terminated my contract. A few days later my phone would not let me phone anyone. Phoned the shop on my landline and was asked if I’d put in the new sim. No because I was waiting for her to tell me as agreed. She told me she was very busy. I then discovered she had put me on a new contract with vodaphone then days later moved me over to Three. I made it clear at the outset I wanted a Three contract. She told me she’d refund 1 months subscription back into my bank account. Nothing has been received from them. I was left with the vodaphone temporary telephone number in my phone. I keep getting messages all the time from Vodaphone asking me to go into my account which I don’t have! I had to phone Three to explain and they told me how to take it out of settings. At the shop they could see I’m disabled, nearly 70 years old, and not very IT savvy. I feel duped just for her commission. Addition : The area manager arranged to meet me and my husband for a coffee to discuss what went wrong. He kindly tried to restore WhatsApp but there was a risk that I could lose what little WhatsApp I’d managed to start off again so we left it at that. He checked the rest of the phone and removed me from Vodaphone messages. He could not have been genuinely more apologetic. He has now refunded one month charge as agreed before AND goodwill compensation. I’m really happy with the service he gave and have amended my star rating accordingly.

3 different members if staff from March to June have each messed up, pure incompetence, and disregard. Ended up trebling my monthly bill. "Complanits" don't even bother responding via email, email because I can't fet through on the phone. Stay well away, bloody useless!!

As stated, we were unable to amend your bill as it is only the network that could do that.
We did escalate it to them and they advise that they had tried to contact you on several occasions to no avail.

Don't trust the head office use the…

Don't trust the head office use the shop the head office do not no what they are doing. I was told by adam from the head office I was due a free upgrade he got it wrong it was for my wife's phone three charge me £360 for ending my contract early I have only been paid £120 back from get connected so out of pocket by £240 I will never use again
So you are still trying to blackmail me in to taking a another contract out to get the money you owe me all this is your incompetence Not My FAULT

Great experience at Brecon shop

We went to Brecon on the 18th of March to purchase a new i Phone and arrange a payment plan . Michelle could not have been more helpful and we would recommend anyone to visit .
We were so pleased we got her some flowers when in Brecon the next time .

Helpful employee in Wellington store

Went into the store in Wellington Somerset and was served by KAMIL , who was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He diligently dealt with my requirements and the setting up of my mobile . Many thanks Kamil.I would recommend using this store

TERRIBLE COMPANY

Appalling company with no moral values or consideration for their customers. Convinced an elderly (86 yr old) and vulnerable relative into signing up for an expensive contract which was not wanted or needed and in fact they did not know they had even signed up for. Looking at other online reviews, this seems to be a common occurance at Get Connected. Head office refuse to consider that their staff do anything wrong. If you have any problems then accept that you will ignored and be offered no help whatsoever. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone.
UPDATE:-
The company offered £24 in compensation for the shop being consistently shut over a period of several weeks, which meant we were unable to discuss the matter in person.
Customer services now refuse to discuss the mis-selling of the contract - insisting that their employee had done nothing wrong. This employee only just started working in the shop and left the employment a short time later. So, it's highly possible they either 'made a mistake' or deliberately mis-sold to elderly and vulnerable customers.
A basic replacement device was asked for, yet a complete contract was sold. This was neither wanted nor required. The cost of the services element of the contract is £379.
None of the paperwork/contract was given to the relative. Having finally received a copy (after asking several times), we see it contains false information which is misrepresenting the facts and is fraudulent.
Customer Services are unable to provide any evidence to back-up their claims that the relative knew what he was doing yet we have clear evidence to the contrary. They have made a decision not to uphold our complaint based on opinion not facts.
The people in this company have a total lack of consideration for their customers and I sincerely hope that this kind of thing never happens to their elderly relatives. Only then might they realise how appallingly they have behaved.

Real customer care.

Having had my e-mail hacked I went to Get Connected’s store in Oswestry. Simon spent over 2 hours helping me deal with the problem. It was comforting to have someone who understood the problem and provided professional support. I have visited this store when I have had problems in the past and Tim has sorted them out for me. Customer care is not just a slogan here but a genuine commitment.
