Unprofessional recruitment process – No communication after 1 year
In April 2025, I applied for a freelance translation role via LinkedIn. I was asked to complete an unpaid translation test under a tight deadline, with the promise of feedback within a few business days.
Despite submitting the test on time, the agency failed to even acknowledge receipt. Over the past 12 months, I have followed up multiple times. Each time, customer support provided generic "we will check and get back to you" responses, but no actual information was ever shared.
It has now been a full year without a single meaningful update. This experience demonstrates a complete lack of respect for a professional’s time and effort. I strongly recommend fellow linguists spend their time elsewhere.

Quick, Easy, and Well Done
The vast majority of the content that was supplied by BLEND was was really good quality. My company made some clarifying edits to some areas of the translated text, but the message would have been able to resonate with the audience without. There were opportunities missed by the service where using the direct Spanish translation was not the right call.

Translating a one-pager for my company
I needed to translate a one pager and I was really amazed by the simplicity and speed of the process. I particularly appreciated the semantic translation of my company's name. Everything was handled very professionally. The website is easy to use and the level of information provided during the translation process was excellent.

Got to work a few months but...
Suddenly they remembered to proofread my work and the automated points were miserable. The proofreader said it only had a few mistakes and the system gave it 1.9 out of 6. I had to dispute it and they changed to 5.4.
The proofreader of another project made claims that are wrong in Portuguese language (and all of my Portuguese friends have said so) but they still sided with the proofreader.
They don't value translators. Run!!

Their contact form for the support page is totally a crap. They don't accept any type of mail address even yahoo. Today I wanted to know about sth before starting as a translator but seems like their support section is full of waste.

I paid for a English to French with Professional Editing... didn't get it and it was late.
I paid for a English to French translation with Professional editing. The time that was quoted was within 24hours. This ended up taking over 72hours and me having to contact support to see what was going on.
Apparently it was translated within 24hours but I never received notification or could see it because I had the "Professional Editing" feature still outstanding.
Ultimately they had to refund me the Professional Editing feature, but it was extremely unreliable service. Using this for business, if we are quoted a timeline, then we need to adhere to it.
Also, the fact you couldn't get a professional editor for a short English to French project brings up what kind of base of translators you may have, given this is a popular language to translate to and from.

As mentioned in our email from the Support team, the translation was completed on time, but the Professional Editing was delayed due to limited weekend availability in our French Canadian editor pool. We've refunded that portion to your BLEND balance and sent the file directly.
We do want to clarify that your order was specifically for French Canadian, not standard French, a service we regularly provide.
We understand how important reliability is for business needs, and we apologize for falling short this time. As a thank-you for your patience, we really hope the discount code we sent via email helps us make it up to you.
