Great staff at Gateshead TVTE, I go in quite regular with my granddaughter, she loves tents. The staff go out of their way to help and are pleasant. Credit to the company.

I recently visited the Go outdoors store in Alnwick to purchase some Leki trekking poles. Both the lady serving at the checkout and lady supervisor who was called to process a price match were an absolute delight to deal with. Both were so cheery, polite and helpful and it was a pleasure to deal with them.

Staff helpful and good range of goods at a decent price for members. I would have said 5 * except for the fact that I took my newly purchased raincoat on holiday and it somehow got lost without me having worn it at all so can’t vouch for its’ success as a waterproof😔

Great store, limited stock as you would expect in comparison to the larger stores for what we were looking for.

Charlie did a great job getting our family of three into new rainproof jackets, just in time for a bad weather day. Lovely smile, plenty of knowledge and patience, made the process painless. Thanks !!

We came in looking for a replacement 'pup' tent as our current one had failed
Whilst there was a reasonable choice, I was disappointed that none were on show erected, as has previously been my experience with Go Outdoors
I appreciate that tent displays are hugely costly in terms of space used, I think it is the only way for customers without a super-human spatial awareness to make an informed choice

Shop was very clean and tidy, staff were friendly in their greetings, and Debra who served me was very nice to talk to, and informed me deals I was able to get on my purchases.

Great shop, very helpful staff. I can't remember the young man's name but he gave me expert advice on the gas cylinder the converter I needed to make my camping BBQ set up work.
Another assistant gave good advice on the shoes I was choosing as well.

Staff were very pleasant and helpful on ground floor. Great range of products. Lift to upper floor a godsend for disabled people.
Would have been 5 star if not for some isles having products making it too narrow, lots of products too high to reach and no staff upstairs. Also long wait at checkout as only one til open.

We were helped with our chose of outdoor jackets and walking trousers. Debz and Marie were exception with the great advice and gave us better understanding of the best items for our needs. We were searching for quite a few items of trousers with their help narrowed down to a couple.
The whole lay out of the store was just right and easy to navigate. Finally the ease of the sale was helped with also Seb and Russell, where we had forgotten some extra items which they picked exactly these for us, saving time.

Great customer service

I was amazed to find out that the shelf edge price was the discounted price associated with membership. It wasn’t even competitive with the microfibre cloth costing over £2 whereas you could get a pack of three in Sainsbury’s for quite a bit less. Discounted pricing of the other items was not competitive either, so I left buying the items I needed that day, but feel it unlikely that I will choose to shop with Go Outdoors in the future. What a missed opportunity for your business, a fantastic margin on a handful of goods rather than a loyal repeat customer.

Thank you Debz and Paul -you both provided first class service yesterday while guiding us to the most appropriate pair of hiking boots for my 14 year old grandson. They were very patient and knowledgeable, and made the whole experience a pleasant one, as well as showing my grandson how to treat customers well.
