Go is the place to go to
The shop was well stocked and priced competitively. The staff however is the reason for a five star feedback. Very friendly, helpful and excellent at making me feel comfortable with my purchase.

Queing customers are low priority
For the second time shopping in Ambleside the staff consider the customer less important than going for lunch / restocking the shelves. Several customers waiting at two tills with 2 staff, after serving one customer one just locked the tills and walked off making the comment to me that it was her lunchtime. Previously the same thing happened when one staff left several queuing whilst he decided that some garments on hangers needed putting back in the right place. And he did this one by one removing them from next to the tills. Obviously queuing customers are low priority in this shop.
I have been buying from you for years and no longer recommend you.

We visited the Ambleside store & my…
We visited the Ambleside store & my wife went downstairs to view the Ladies department, I am in a wheelchair & one of the friendly staff approached me to let me know that they could open a door on the lower level to let me into the Ladies department. But they have no disabled access upstairs to the Mens department?

If I could give 6 stars I would. Came in looking around after some bits for an upcoming trip to the alps, ended up speaking to Carl who was the most helpful assistant I’ve probably ever met. Helped me and my husband buy bits that we needed without the hard sell. Very knowledgeable, thank you!

We went to try and get some walking…
We went to try and get some walking boots for my 10 year old this morning. Benjamin was absolutely brilliant at helping us and his customer service was outstanding - far better than any other outdoor shop we went in today in Ambleside. Thank you!
