Perfect for DofE kit
Hazel was incredibly brilliant. She helped us get a long list of D of E kit and walked us through what we needed. Her experience of being a DofE assessor really helped us know that we were buying the right gear. Nothing was too difficult for her and she was friendly and smiley. Thank you, Hazel!

Came in last week to enquire about some alpine equipment I’d need on my trip to Switzerland in August. I am a beginner into the mountaineering world and Ian who works at this particular go outdoors was the best person I have spoken to advice wise regarding my trip. He offered me great advice on what gear I would and wouldn’t need. I was planning a walk up breithorn, initially going unguided. After speaking to Ian, I have now booked a guide for my trip. A decision which may have, ultimately, have saved my life. Great bloke. Lisa on the till was great too, very polite and humorous joking with me and my friends. If anyone needs advice on winter alpine gear or experiences, I would 100% advise speaking to Ian. If you want a good laugh, go see Lisa :)

Click and collect order
Up until now I have never had a problem with Go Outdoors, but on my last click and collect order I did not receive the email letting me know that the item was ready to collect. Other than this, I cannot fault the service that I have received.

Well laid out and tidy store with good stock. Went in for a new water bottle in a specific style and left with what I wanted. They were reactive to busy tills, opening a new till, and Lisa at the checkout was friendly and patient while I found my membership card. Thanks Lisa!

Helpful staff
As a novice walker I was looking at hiking poles & was given some great advice by a man working in the footwear department, sorry didn't get your name.
Then at the till Lisa was very patient & helpful as I tried to find membership details.

All three members of staff I spoke to when visited were very friendly and really helpful. I was able to get my issue resolved, unlike when I visited the Wakefield store

I got service that I wanted.
Went to Go Outdoors today, looking for some fishing tackle. The store has 2 rooms full of tackle. I was served by Lisa who sorted out a bar code problem super fast. The whole experience was good, there were plenty of staff happy to help.
