Save yourself and just don’t buy one

Save yourself and just don’t buy one. I ordered one online and I measured no less than 3 times because I didn’t want the bag any larger than the totes I already have. I was crushed when the bag came and it was several inches larger than what I’d ordered. Yes I converted their measurements to inches. I double checked the website and what they claim their measurements are. They sent me a bag that is so large I will now use it on trips a few times a year instead of having it as a day to day tote. Goyard would do nothing to compensate me. They told me their measuring practice is to measure from the smallest point of the bag which shaves several inches off the measurements. I could not even get a discount for their lack of transparent details about the bag. Nothing. They said sorry and they appreciated my feedback. I don’t buy expensive bags on a regular basis. I thought about this purchase for two years. Since my purchase I’ve read over and over how horrible their customer service is. Never again.

Horrible company

Horrible company. I was not in Thailand when my product arrived and customer service and DHL refused to help me and ultimately customs destroyed the bag and I never received it. I asked multiple times for help and got absolutely zero help. And of course they refuse to give me a refund.

Customer service at this company is horrible and they have the worst attitude of any company I’ve ever dealt with

Absolute junk

Absolute junk! I thought I was buying a good product and after a year of light wearing it came unstitched from the side. I took it to Goyard and they said it was wear and tear, I would have to pay £115 to have it repaired and it would take between 8-12 weeks.
I DO NOT recommend this brand, quality is poor and aftercare inexistent. No wonder the shop was empty on a Saturday, I think people are realising they are being conned by a supposedly luxury brand!
Waste of money, don’t bother buying here!

Very disappointing

A very disappointing customer experience. The staff are unhelpful and exhibit an arrogant, elitist attitude that left a negative impression. When I sought assistance, management asked me to contact European customer service, which proved to be equally unhelpful. Goyard mislead customers, and fail to provide accurate information regarding specific products available via the online enquiry service.

For a brand that aspires to excellence, their customer service certainly falls far short. This experience has left me with no desire to shop at Goyard again.

DO NOT USE THE WEBSITE

Wanted to get a St Louis bag for a Xmas gift. Went online to their site to buy. Can only buy certain things onlibe but that's fine. Looked at St Louis medium bag and proceeded to buy it monogrammed. I went to check out and did. AFTER paying, the confirmation email stated that monogrammed products take 3 - 4 weeks for delivery. I contacted customer service within 24 hours and when I asked to get an unmonogrammed bag sent instead so I'd have it by Xmas, I was informed that only monogrammed St. Louis bags can be bought via the website. So, I asked to cancel and they told me that my bag was already being monogrammed. This communication chain all occurred with a day and a half of my placing the order. At no time prior to giving my payment was it stated on the site that it takes 3-4 weeks for delivery. If it had, I would not have processed the payment. And the customer service is bs. How are you monogramming my bag within hours of my order but you need a month to get it to me? Never will I give them my money again. What shady selling tactics! Very deceptive.

Lack of quality and service

I purchased a Goyard wallet less than two months ago and was very disappointed to see the pattern already peeling. When I returned it to the store, I expected a refund or exchange, but was told instead that it would need to be repaired, a process that would take three months. For a $1,200 wallet, this level of quality and service is unacceptable. If you’re looking to invest in a luxury wallet, I recommend turning to established brands such as Hermès, Chanel, or Louis Vuitton, which have proven standards of durability and customer care.

I had a horrible experience at Goyard…

I had a horrible experience at Goyard San Francisco. I arrived only 3 minutes after 5:00 pm and they refused to do a quick exchange. There was an accident on my way that delayed me and ruined my day. I even called the store to let them know I would be a couple of minutes late due to the accident, but no one answered the phone. They will smile and give you water and treat you like royalty until they get your money. They are fake, buyer beware. No refunds for any reason as soon as you walk out the door. They will not refund you even if it is in perfect condition and you return the same day. Go get whatever you need across the street at Hermes or one block away at Louis Vuitton. I have shopped at all of the luxury stores in the area and they are the worst.

First time leaving a review, but I feel like I have to.

I normally don’t write reviews, but my experience with Goyard has been disappointing enough that I felt it needed to be shared.

I purchased a wallet and handbag, spending close to $8,000 thinking it was a long-term investment. Within just two months, the wallet’s clip broke. When I contacted their after-sales service, I was referred to their Hong Kong office and dealt with someone named Kenji. The only repair option offered was to ship the item overseas at my expense—with no real assurance that the same item would be returned to me. There was no local support, and overall, no real help offered.

As for the purchase experience itself, it was far from pleasant. I felt judged from the moment I walked in. The staff gave off the impression that if you don’t look like their “ideal” customer, you don’t belong there. They even checked to confirm that my credit card was actually mine—as if someone like me couldn’t possibly afford their products.

Goyard used to be considered a premium brand, but the quality and customer service just don’t reflect that anymore. I’ll be selling my items once they’re repaired.

If you’re thinking of buying from Goyard, I’d strongly suggest reconsidering. Just don't be the fool idiot like me that waited in line all for the rubbish product!

Seriously Stupid. We are the morons for buying.

You wait in line to spend your money on an item that is manufactured for less than 5% of the retail price and then you get herded like cattle and treat like garbage and if they don’t like the look of you or think you are too foreign they tell you out of stock and herd you away as if you are below them.
I think there are a lot of low life staff that all of a sudden think they are aristocrats because they are labouring for a big brand.

It was the worst shopping experience…

It was the worst shopping experience I’ve ever had.
The staff were rude and unwilling to offer any help at all.
From the doorman at the entrance to the cashier, everyone was extremely impolite and disrespectful.
The woman showing me the bags (an Indian lady) made me uncomfortable with her behavior, rushing me to choose quickly.
At checkout, they even asked my husband for an ID card to confirm the bank card was his.
It was the most bizarre and terrible experience for me.

Goyard's Shocking Quality Failures and Outrageous After-Sales Neglect

Goyard has demonstrated serious quality issues. Within just 4 days of purchasing a bag and using it only twice on Jan. 2025, the stitching on the side has already come undone. I have also seen numerous reports online from other customers who have encountered the same issue, suggesting this may be a widespread problem.

Furthermore, their after-sales service has been highly disappointing. The customer service representative who replied to me from their Asia region is named Kenji. I was instructed to ship the defective product back to the country of purchase for repairs (Hong Kong), with no support offered for potential customs fees or the risk of the item being lost during transit.

This approach, instead of allowing consumers the option to return or exchange defective items, forces customers to accept a repaired product, which is far from the standard one would expect from a reputable brand.

I have inquired twice about the duration of the repair process and requested a return and refund, but they completely ignored my requests! Other customers have reported that they had to pay for the repair costs themselves when sending the product back and taking more than 2-month. Is this Goyard intentionally selling defective products to make additional profit from repair fees?

After two weeks of back-and-forth communication with Goyard's customer service team, no resolution has been provided. I will report Goyard's quality issues to the Hong Kong Consumer Council and submit all the evidence. This experience has left me deeply dissatisfied with the brand's commitment to quality and customer care.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this brand to other consumers. I believe potential buyers should be fully informed of the risks of encountering similar quality issues and the lack of sufficient after-sales support before making a purchase decision.

Goyard St Louis tote bag …

I have the goyard st louis bag for less than 2 years I have used it for about 6/9 moths in that period and the side of the handles where it meets the bag the coating is pealing off. I have taken it to goyard and they say it's wear and tear and have quoted £220 to repair. I am very unhappy with this service. Don't buy the bag its not worth the money and only suitable to carry a lipstick if you want it to last !! Wasn't even used for a laptop which Louis Vuiton neverfull is very capable of carry as is the Gucci Ophidia tote!!

Horrible staff at store

Stood outside waiting to get in and was refused entry. Door person very rude. I was outside before 7pm but they still refused entry.

What sort of company treats people like this??? Supposed to be luxury goods but treat you so badly.

Goyard Paris bags don't last

I bought a Goyard St Lewis bag which cost over 1000 euros, and rarely used it and when I did only had lipstick and a wallet and even bought an insert and bag cover to protecting. Within a few months holes appeared in the corners. I brought it to a leather specialist and they advised me to return as and said this should happen as the bag was hardly used and in excellent condition otherwise. I returned it to the store and they wanted a few hundred euros to put corners on the bag! And was told this is common wear and tear for a bag that was only used a hand fully of times. This is really disappointing for a bag that cost so much and of poor quality.
