I chose Greenwave because my quote was built around joining Octopus Energy. I also asked for a system that would future-proof my home. Unfortunately, the Sigenergy EV charger supplied with the installation isn’t compatible with Octopus Energy, and the myenergi Zappi charger shown in the original quote had been removed without anyone telling me.

This left me unable to charge my Tesla through Octopus. One morning I woke up to find the car hadn’t charged, and it appeared that Octopus couldn’t use the Sigenergy charger or communicate properly with the Tesla either.

I sent Greenwave an urgent email explaining the problem but received no reply. When I eventually reached the office, I was told they already knew Octopus didn’t accept Sigenergy EV chargers. That was particularly frustrating because my plans to join Octopus were central to the purchase, yet neither the charger change nor the compatibility issue was explained during the sales process.

I’ve now been waiting two days for a call to discuss how the £13,000 system I bought is meant to work. The call finally came five minutes before the office closed, leaving little time to resolve anything.

The system may have potential, but the communication and after-sales support so far have been very disappointing. Before I placed the order, the response was much quicker. Struan, what changed?

We recently moved into our first home and knew we wanted to get rid of the ancient boiler and oil tank. From start to finish, Greenwave have been brilliant with our heat pump installation.

We had been looking into having solar panels and an air source heat pump installed and got quotes from several different companies. We came across Greenwave Renewables and were really pleased to find that they could supply and install both systems. Having one company take care of everything was exactly what we were looking for, and their quotes were very competitive.

We’ve now had both systems installed and couldn’t be happier with the whole experience.

The solar installation consisted of 19 panels, an inverter and battery storage, and the whole installation was completed in just one day. The air source heat pump system took two days, with both teams starting on the same day.

From the moment they arrived, both teams of engineers were friendly, professional and extremely hard-working. They were also very tidy and respectful of our home, which we really appreciated. It was obvious that they took pride in their work, and everything was left neat and tidy at the end of each day.

The whole process has been straightforward and stress-free, and we’re really pleased with the quality of the installation and the service we’ve received from Greenwave Renewables.

Absolutely first class service. All carried out very professionally without issue. A couple of minor problems but the team were on it straight away and installation was completed a day early. The team itself just gelled and they all carried out their own tasks to make it work. I have already started recommending them. They were the only company to complete the work before i could even get a quote sorted from oghers. Well done all.

From start to finish the The Greenwave Renewables Team has been a reliable and helpful company for the installation of our air source heat pump.
When Aidan surveyed the work that he was going to install, he made a very sensible and practical suggestion on where best to place the heat pump and locating the internal plumbing which released a lot of useful space.
The work was expertly installed be Aidan and he kept us informed on progress. Where necessary radiators were replaced and new emitters fitted by Aidan’s competent assistant, Olly.
The work was carried out on time and to budget which was followed quickly by the documents and other requirements to secure the government grant.
From our experience we would certainly recommend The Greenwave Renewables Team to others thinking of changing to renewables.

We have now used Greenwave Renewables for two substantial renewable-energy projects at our property, and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

The first project involved a complete upgrade to our main house, including a 17-panel solar PV system, 23 kWh of battery storage and an air-source heat pump, replacing our previous oil-fired heating system. More recently, Greenwave returned to install a separate solar PV and battery system at our newly constructed lodge.

From the initial discussions and system design through to installation and commissioning, the whole team have been knowledgeable, professional and extremely helpful. What particularly impressed me was that this was never simply a case of installing equipment and disappearing afterwards. Whenever I had a question or needed assistance, somebody was available to help.

I would particularly like to mention Struan and Kaitlyn, who have been excellent throughout both projects. Communication and coordination have always been friendly and professional, including working around the construction programme for the Lodge and liaising with us when the first-fix cabling needed to be arranged.

I would also like to thank Lee, who has been incredibly helpful on the technical side. Shortly after our heat-pump installation, we encountered an issue over a weekend and Lee took the time to call and guide me through the system until we identified and resolved the problem. That level of after-sales support makes an enormous difference and gives you confidence that the company genuinely stands behind its installations.

The workmanship across both properties has been excellent, and we are extremely pleased with the finished systems. Our main house has been transformed from an oil-heated property into one where solar generation, substantial battery storage and an air-source heat pump work together, while the Lodge now has its own dedicated solar and battery system.

Having completed two installations with Greenwave Renewables, I would have no hesitation whatsoever in using them again. They are a professional, approachable and knowledgeable local company that clearly takes pride in its work and, equally importantly, looks after its customers after the installation has been completed.

Totally professional, knowledgeable and reactive to any issues which are rectified as soon as possible. I had a Solar & Battery and ASHP installation which has transformed my property. Very happy and I highly recommend Greenwave.

Had a heat pump installed by Greenwave Renewables. Start to finish, the process was transparent and efficient. We were happy with the quote, then proceeded to a full home inspection/heat loss report, and then we were advised on the best heat pump and setup for our home. The installation itself took two days and was much quicker than I thought it would be. The guys were very rigorous, kept disruption to a minimum and ensured everything was tidy at the end. They turned up when they said they would and finished the entire solar power installation in a day. They were professional, knowledgeable and friendly.

The installation process was not entirely satisfactory and we experienced significant problems in getting the system up and running. However Greenwave did eventually resolve the problems and the system was successfully commissioned.

Very happy with the communication and install process. a very good team especially Struan and Katelyn. This is our second install with this company in 2 different properties. They are quick and proactive to fix any issues. I would recommend this company.

Very good service and response from office staff when required. A very professional installation team and very knowledgeable - Struan - for the commissioning. Middle of a very hot summer perhaps not the best time to install and test a heat pump so will only really know how effective it is this winter!

I highly recommend Greenwave Renewables. Struan took his time to assess the property and was very polite, calm, informative and gave good advice. The installation was completed according to the schedule even though one of the installers had to go on leave the second day. All the workers who came to the property worked hard to get the job done. After the installation was completed, a problem arose. Lee provided exceptional technical support to resolve the issue, even so far as to do so in his own time. The air source heat pump has been working well and I have had no issues so far.

WE have recently had a heat pump and solar panels fitted by Greenwave. The whole process was extremely good, from the initial visits until the actual fitting. They communicate using sensible language and free from any sales pressure. It really felt like we were getting the system that we wanted, but with their expert advice. Of course not everything went smoothly but some of it was outside their control (scaffolders) There were hiccups on the day but they worked out a solution quickly and we ended up with an even better system than expected. The fitting teams were happy to explain what they were doing and did everything to minimise disruption. We'd have no hesitation in recommending them to others.

Lee who installed was great - very thorough and did a tidy job - however the job took longer than expected as Lee mainly worked alone and communication from the office wasn’t great.
