Thank you for sharing your feedback. We would like to address your review transparently:

1. Regarding the clippers:

We can assure you 100% that Groomica sells only brand-new, authentic equipment directly from official manufacturers. Many professional clipper brands calibrate and test blades at the factory using synthetic testing fibers prior to packaging.

When you contacted us about this, we immediately offered to take the clippers back and replace them with a brand-new unit at our expense. However, you declined our offer, stating that returning the item was too much hassle for you. Our offer to replace the unit still stands at any time should you change your mind.

2. Regarding the £54 FedEx invoice:

Groomica is based in the European Union (Lithuania). The shipping fee paid at checkout covers international delivery to your door. However, following Brexit, all goods imported into the UK from the EU are subject to UK Import VAT (20%) and standard clearance fees levied by the UK Government.

This £54 invoice is issued by UK Customs / FedEx on behalf of your local authorities. It is not an extra charge from our store, and Groomica receives none of these funds. This is also clearly stated in our Terms & Conditions at checkout.

If you would like to reconsider and accept our replacement offer, please reach out to us at hello@groomica.eu with your order number. We will gladly arrange everything for you.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We completely understand your frustration upon receiving an unexpected invoice, and we would like to provide full transparency regarding our store and these charges.

1. Regarding the £87 FedEx invoice (UK Import VAT & Customs):

Since Brexit, shipments sent from the European Union to the United Kingdom are subject to standard international import regulations. For goods entering the UK, HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) requires payment of 20% UK Import VAT alongside standard clearance fees. FedEx covers these government fees at the border on your behalf to release your parcel and subsequently invoices you to settle those statutory duties. Groomica does not receive any portion of this amount.

2. Transparency regarding our location and pricing:

We operate with full transparency regarding our origin:

Our website operates on the European domain Groomica.eu (.eu representing the European Union).

Our full company registration, legal name, Lithuanian address, and contact details are openly displayed on our Contact Us page and in the website footer.

We quote prices in British Pounds (£) purely as a service for our UK customers so that you can browse easily without calculating exchange rates.

3. Customs notice and ongoing improvements:

Our shipping policies and Terms & Conditions—accepted at checkout—explicitly state that deliveries outside the EU may be subject to local import taxes and clearance charges payable by the recipient. However, we take your feedback seriously and are actively introducing even more prominent alerts at checkout specifically for UK orders to ensure no customer is caught off guard by local post-Brexit import fees.
