Don't use a broker
Got persuaded as this company gets everywhere the minute you click a link online. Misinformed staff selling like for like switch health policies then you find out they are not like for like at all.
I would never have switched to BUPA had I known there would be significant exclusions. What is worse is that the broker misinformed BUPA about a health condition. We have wasted thousands paying for a policy for absolutely nothing. The trouble is the minute you start to research up pops Heath Crawford every time. I would never have anything to do with them. Cut out the middleman and go direct, at least you can find out exactly what is going on and not rely on 3rd party misinformation

We’re very sorry that you remain unhappy with your experience. We take any allegation of mis-selling or inaccurate information extremely seriously and have reviewed the calls and correspondence relating to your policy in detail.
While we cannot discuss your personal or medical information publicly, we do feel it is important to clarify some points. The Bupa policy arranged for you was a Switch-underwritten policy. Following additional medical information provided before the policy commenced, our adviser referred this to Bupa’s underwriting team. Bupa determined that an additional exclusion was required, and our records show that our adviser explained this exclusion to you before the policy started and that you confirmed you wished to proceed.
We therefore do not believe it is accurate to say that Heath Crawford misinformed Bupa or that the policy was represented as having no additional exclusions. We appreciate, however, that you are extremely disappointed with the subsequent position regarding your cover.
We have investigated your concerns formally and provided our final response, together with details of your right to refer the matter to the Financial Ombudsman Service. We will, of course, cooperate fully with any independent review of the circumstances.
We are genuinely sorry that your experience has left you feeling this way.
