Good morning Mr Leber,
Here at Hemingway Tailors we strive to achieve excellent customer service and we are sorry to hear that on this occasion you feel that this has not been achieved. That said, we are very keen to address and rectify this situation for you.
We have tried to reach out to you directly on Tuesday 22nd September regarding the issues you have with your delivery but, to date, we have not heard back from you. We have outlined below the timeline of events from the order being placed to it being delivered to you.
Your order was placed late evening (when we were closed) on the 7th September and we posted this to you on the 8th September by Royal Mail signed for service. An email was sent through our online store to confirm shipment of your order. The item left the UK on the 9th September and arrived in Germany on the 10th September. It was then held at customs in Germany until the 17th September when it was released and sent to your local sorting office. As with any customs clearance process this can take a few days and, unfortunately, this part of the process is totally out of our control.
Your Trustpilot review was left on the 19th September, at which point you advised that the parcel had not yet arrived. You also say that the parcel was damaged twice during the delivery process but we are a little confused as to how you learnt that the parcel was damaged when the parcel had not yet arrived. I have tracked your delivery through Royal Mail and can see that they attempted to deliver your parcel on Saturday 19th September but there was no answer. I can also see that the delivery took place successfully on Monday 21st September.
It also appears unusual to us that we have heard nothing from you since the parcel was received on the 21st September to advise that there is an issue or any damage and, you have also not responded to our direct email on the 22nd September. Therefore, we are at a total loss as to why you have deemed it necessary to leave what currently appears to us as an unwarranted 2* review!
If the parcel is damaged then please feel free to send us some images of the damaged parcel and we can then take this up with Royal Mail in the UK.
We look forward to hearing from you further in order that we can try and resolve any outstanding issues you may have.

Hemingway tailors happily made time for every one of my confused queries with patience, care, and understanding. With a coffee in hand, Toby welcomed us with detailed insights to the process of tailoring while devoting hours to ensuring we walk away with a skirt-suit designed to increase personal confidence. This summer, I graduated from university wearing a suit that would bring some much-needed self-esteem, poise, and elegance to the job interview process and world of work. Toby's one-to-one service is priceless so we will be bringing my sister along for her suit next.

Stress-Free Wedding Suit Experience with Toby
I recently picked up my wedding suit from Hemingway Tailors, and I cannot recommend them enough. As this was my first experience with proper tailoring, I walked in feeling a bit out of my depth, but Toby immediately put me at ease, along with his very friendly assistant.
I arrived with a long list of "silly" questions, and Toby took the time to answer every single one of them with genuine patience. He really listened to what I wanted for my big day and offered expert advice without ever making me feel rushed or overwhelmed.
The level of care and attention to detail was incredible. Choosing a suit for your wedding can be a bit stressful, but Toby turned it into a highlight of the wedding prep. The fit is absolutely spot on - far better than anything I've ever worn before. If you’re a first-timer looking for a high-quality suit and a comfortable, professional experience, this is the place to go!

Suited and Booted
Hemingway tailors provided the perfect tailoring experience. From the minute we arrived in Leeds Toby welcomed us with a cup of tea or coffee making us feel comfortable from the outset. Following that we engaged in discussing the details of a suit for my sister's wedding. The process was fun, educational and professional. Toby shared his stories of his history in tailoring whilst getting measurements and asking acute details, necessary for the perfect suit. And the perfect suit it was. I couldn't recommend Toby and Hemingway tailors enough.

Amazing
I couldn’t be happier with my experience with Toby. He made a pair of women’s trousers, a shirt, and a waistcoat for my wedding, and from start to finish the service was exceptional.
I went in with very little knowledge about tailoring or what styles and fabrics would suit me, but Toby immediately put me at ease. After I described what I had in mind, he helped me choose the perfect fabric and explained everything clearly and thoroughly. He was incredibly knowledgeable and, most importantly, completely honest – you could tell he genuinely wanted me to look and feel my best.
At the measuring appointment, he again took the time to explain every detail and made thoughtful suggestions, always clarifying how each choice would improve the overall look and fit on me. His attention to detail and passion for his craft really stood out.
When I went for my final fitting, everything fit perfectly and looked amazing. I truly couldn’t be happier with the result. I can’t wait for my partner to see me in my outfit on the big day!

I bought a very last minute Christmas…
I bought a very last minute Christmas gift and had assumed that I would have missed any opportunity to buy such a fabulous gift of a tailoring experience for my partner. I couldn't have been more wrong, the customer service, attention to detail and communication was fabulous, personable and really made the buying experience a positive and smooth experience. My partner was absolutely delighted with his gift and we look forward to visiting in the New Year.

Outstanding service
I can’t speak highly enough of my experience at Hemingway Tailors! From the moment I walked in, Toby made me feel completely at ease, especially since I’ve struggled with self-confidence in the past. He truly went above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable and looked my best for my wedding suit. Toby stayed after hours, giving me all the time I needed to make sure every detail was perfect.
It’s rare to find a tailor who listens so carefully to exactly what you’re looking for, and Toby did just that. He paid attention to every detail, from shirt monograms to the initials embroidered into my jacket—nothing was overlooked. The level of personal care and attention I received was exceptional, and I felt like I was the only customer in the world.
Joanne was also incredible, and together they created an experience that felt genuinely personal and special. After so many disappointing experiences with other tailors, I finally found someone I trust completely. I now have a tailor for life, and I couldn't be more grateful for the professionalism, warmth, and craftsmanship of Toby and the entire team. Thank you for making me feel like a million dollars on one of the most important days of my life!

Wedding Outfit
My wife had a waistcoat and suit trousers tailored by Toby for our wedding in early August after a recommendation from a friend (previous client) and what a fabulous choice!
We met with Toby in February to select fabrics, met again in April to be fitted and collected in early June.
Toby not only listened to what Jen wanted but really supported in making the decisions about colour, buttons etc.
Toby is incredibly humble but should be reminded how phenomenal his work is because she looked a million dollars.
