Easy and efficient

I had a great experience at Hertz at Houston Airport, thanks to the general manager, Kevin. When I arrived, I was initially placed in a Genesis GV70, even though I had booked a Mercedes-Benz GLE 350. The vehicle I wanted was available. I explained it to Kevin, and he took care of everything right away. He made sure I got into the Mercedes-Benz GLE 350 that I booked, with zero hassle. It’s great to see a manager who really listens and takes care of customers. Thank you, Kevin, for your professionalism and excellent service. Hertz is lucky to have you.

When I was booking there were small and mid sized options. I wanted a larger car hence opted for Managers Special at a higher rate of almost $100 per day
When I reached the Hertz Centre, I was directed to Gold Lot where there were all small cars. I would have booked the same car at $50 or 60.

I set up my rental online. I bought the extra insurance. It told me to skip the line and just take my car. What I did not know was they were going to change my insurance choice from basic to the most inclusive at twice the cost of the rental and then use 'signature on file' as acceptance. My confirmation email from the company before I picked up was 227.02. When I picked up the vehicle they printed a receipt at the exit and didn't give me a chance to look at it and charged my 397.. When I did I called in to get it changed. They told me to wait until the end of my rental. When I contacted back they said I already used it and it was too late to change. Next step is to file with credit card because 'signature on file' is not permission to change what I ordered.

Easy pick up and return experience. Nice, clean car with gas mileage. What more could one want?

The service was easy and, as always, good quality for the price of the rental car. The only downside was the poor attitude of the counter agent who assisted me (my mistake for stopping by the desk instead of going straight to pick up the vehicle), who was very rude with her tone of voice and behavior. It caused me to waste valuable time and have a very bad experience for no reason at all.

The service was excellent

The car was not very clean and mud covered in many areas, especially the tires. Windshield had a film on the inside. Also car had a bad smell inside.

Great service at the pickup location quick turnaround. Will use again as always.

The truck was full of trash. All over the place. I upgraded my reservation because I wanted to treat myself. Instead I was finding new trash the whole rental period. When I turned it in….i found out the last renter’s printer was also in the back seat. Doesn’t make me feel good about it I leave something behind that Hertz will have my back. That printer had to have cost 4 or 5 hundred bucks because it was made for travel and had a case. Done business with Hertz for about 20 years. Never seen something this disappointing. I have pictures because I know people may find this hard to believe. Staff was nice, to be fair.

Between the tollpass confusion and robbery, and the AI scanning of vehicles that has led to countless problems, Hertz has moved to last place for me. This was an awful rental experience that I will do my best to avoid in the future.
