My hometown Hertz office (on Jefferson St, in Joliet Illinois)-- the guys are super nice and they know my name. I always come back. The Hertz at the airports--i love that I can choose my car

Hertz has an incredibly messed up…
Hertz has an incredibly messed up system as it pertains to Toll Charges. When you get the car, the sales person tries to sell you Unlimited Tolling feature that has a daily charge but then is supposed to prevent any toll charges you might have. I have gotten this service twice now and both times the I-Pass on the car didn't work and I still needed to stop at Toll Booths, get tickets and pay for my tolls. Now, Hertz did reimburse me these charges one time, but why should I pay for a service that doesn't even work. Additionally, with one of my rentals, two weeks after the rental, I received a toll charge with an additional $10 fee for the toll on my rental where I had paid for the unlimited tolling. Their system for toll charges is really messed up and just don't take the Unlimited Tolling option to avoid a ton of hassle.

We were given a car with less than a full tank of gas. When we returned the car, we were charged for gas, even though the car was returned with the fuel level at the same level when we picked up the auto,

Friendly Service, but Confusing LDW Charge
I had a great experience thanks to Lauro at the Joliet location. As someone who isn’t very confident with English, his kindness and patience were incredibly helpful. Because of his support, I feel comfortable using Hertz and would like to continue choosing them in the future.
However, I did notice a possible issue with the system. The Multi‑Month contract lists the Loss Damage Waiver as $9 per day, but it seems to have been calculated as $28.99 per day. Another staff member is currently checking this for me, but the pricing discrepancy left me a bit concerned.
