The young person who served me, had excellent customer service skills.
The young person who served me , did everything she could to get what i was looking for, & couldn't have done know more.
Also its good to see Hmv as changed with the times, but also haven't forgot the past which is good for the older generation.
Also i think its good the younger generation have the choice, my Son also likes some of my music & selection of 80,s movies , which hopefully he will continue the trend in time to come.
& its with thanks to have to continue in a competitive market.

What made my experience great was on 27th June 2026 the special album Westlife 25 was back in stock & ready for me to collect, nearly gave up hope i would get it, wanted to collect myself because it was cheaper than being delivered
Got the special album Fri 3rd July 2026 didn't want it to be sent back
I ordered the album on 22nd May 2026, waited long enough
haven't been to hmv for years to get a cd or album, glad the store is still around 👍🏻

restarted my vinyl collection, and collecting what i like, instore. and if they dont have it in stock they have it delivered to my house . cant get better than that.

Derby store layout for DVDs is…
Derby store layout for DVDs is appalling, with no clear system to find what you are looking for.
Limited selection of multi disk dvd collections and generally poor service in store. Focus on 4k Ultra HD and Blu-rays which most people in my opinion don’t bother with for dvds.
Waste of time visiting the store, I may as well have stayed at home and ordered online but I wanted to support the high street stores.

Whilst we do like to refresh the look of our stores and show off all of the new products that we have available for our customers to own, we’d never intend this to cause confusion or limit the finding of our items, so we’re disappointed to hear this may have been the case on this occasion.
All of the sections within our stores should have clear signage so that our customers know which items are where but thanks for taking the time to bring this to our attention, which we’ll review. In the meantime, don’t hesitate to ask for help from one of our colleagues in the store and they’ll be happy to take a look for you.
