Very easy collection for my CD for the Alfie Boe signing. I had a lovely experience at the signing.

Easy to order and collect in store. Staff very helpful, especially David, who kindly checked that all my order was in the parcel.

Attended an Alfie Boe signing on 12th April. Collected CD's easily and were provide with wristbands. The organisation of the signing was very well managed with no rushing or hurrying the line along. Thank you HMV for a great experience and the opportunity to meet Alfie in a calm, relaxed and excellently organised manner

I am honestly heartbroken to be writing this. I’ve been a massive supporter of HMV Live since last August, traveling nationwide—from Birmingham and Newcastle to Wakefield—to support artists and spending over £600 on travel and albums. As a young wheelchair user who struggles with my mental health, these events are more than just a hobby—they are what get me out of bed in the morning and keep me going on my hardest days.

On Monday, I was at the Manchester Arndale store for the Dermot Kennedy event. I was first in line and even had my photo taken with him by HMV’s social media team to be featured on their official Instagram (where I’ve been featured twice now). Right before heading to the lift, I told them they had my full permission to use my image because I loved the brand so much.

But the moment I went downstairs to process a return on a sealed album, the atmosphere shifted. The staff member behind the counter began shouting at me, inventing "rules" about which CD I should have had signed even though the artist had already left. A senior staff member was then called over. Instead of speaking to me with respect, he leaned right over my wheelchair, towering over me in a physically intimidating way, and loudly threatened to ban me from all future HMV Live events.

He told me a refund was "impossible" at the till due to PayPal—yet as I drove away in tears, he called me back and handed me the refund in cash. This proves the "policy" he was shouting about was a lie used to intimidate me. I was so distressed that I actually started to leave without my refund until they called me back. I left the store in total shock.

I am not "gaming the system." These small refunds are vital for my budget—they go toward my heating bills and food while I'm traveling to support these events. To be used for promotional photos one minute and then treated like a criminal by a senior staff member the next is a total betrayal. I have events booked through July 20th, but right now, I don't feel safe in my local store. I am a human being, not just a marketing tool. I deserve dignity. I expect a formal apology and an assurance that I can attend my future bookings without fear of further intimidation.

HMV had the product i wanted and it was delivery service was excellent, item came earlier than I thought. Very happy with the service altogether. I have also visited the shop and purchased goods.

Pre-release album purchased with access to album signing event with Don Broco. Great service, really easy and straightforward collecting my order from store and gaining access to the in-store event which was really well organised and ran.

Went to Robyn's signing her new album event, staff were very friendly and helpful, and the signing was well run,always enjoy Hmv but even more so this time.

Ordered the album and wristband bundle for the Robyn record signing event, which was a fantastic experience and which was brilliantly organised and executed by HMV. Easy collecting the CD and wristband, warmly welcomed by the event staff on the top floor. There was helpful and friendly interaction from the staff in the lead up to and during the signing.
