Came into the shop today. I needed a tool to lift up carpet grips as what I'd already bought would have taken an eternity. Wonderful man at the till listened patiently and when what I'd chosen wasn't good enough he found the right tools for me. I think he saved me a lot of time and grief.

I was in Homebase, Cheltenham, on 1st October 2024 and needed help and guidance on metallic paints and testers. A lovely member of staff, Bridget, came to help me. She could not have been more attentive and helpful. She took so much time helping me, and was so incredibly friendly. She seemed to genuinely care that I found exactly what I wanted at the best price. Bridget pointed out the special offers and saved me a fortune on testers by suggesting that I just bought a packet of swatches. I was so grateful to Bridget and people like her definitely make you want to shop there again.
I would also like to mention Nuala at checkout who was equally lovely and helpful.

I am very disappointed with the Homebase service for my kitchen renovation.
I ordered cupboards to be supplied on September 30 and arranged for a fitter to come that day, to start by ripping out the old kitchen.
Problems began with the worktop. I was asked to confirm delivery 2 weeks in advance which I did, then about a week in advance I was curtly informed by email that they could not supply the worktop until 3 weeks later!!! I contacted them and eventually found that they could supply all the different colours except the one I chose (they did not volunteer this option in their email), so we chose a different colour.
On Monday September 30 the fitters arrived, but no sign of the cupboards. We had to contact Homebase to find out they would only be delivered on the Thursday, and in effect they were delivered on the Friday. This meant the fitters had to change their schedules and they were very good about it. They worked Friday and Saturday and finished most of the work. However they found that one cupboard was missing.
Again we had to chase up Homebase. I am writing on October 26 and there is still no sign of the missing cupboard. Nobody from Homebase has contacted me, to explain, apologise, tell me when the cupboard will arrive.
This is not an unusual order, the cupboard was chosen from their catalogue, so I am very disappointed with this service.

30/10: According to "Team Homebase" the store has been in touch with me to resolve the problem. Not true. I have heard nothing.

Keith on Checkout, Lewis Head of Gardening are exceptional. Lewis always goes out of his way to help with garden / plant advice. He helps customers to their car and is an outstanding colleague. My husband and I will never buy from anybody other than Homebase Cheltenham and this is down to the fabulous colleagues. Please do share with Lewis, Keith and the team how wonderful they all are!

Easy to order online and great price for 10 Homebase bags of manure ! Click and collect was seamless. Good quality manure. The 2nd order I have had this year.

Kevin in the Cheltenham store went above and beyond to help us find an array of outdoor pots. We couldn’t have asked for better customer service - he even helped us pack our car and was absolutely brilliant. Kai was great at checkout. All in all a fantastic experience.
