I was sent to Steve to plan and quote for my kitchen and it had to be perfect for the extension.

Steve was brilliant all the way through, any changes that were required were made promptly and new plans drawn. Even with the changes this has never been any bother for Steve.

Since the kitchen, we have done 2 more plans for a garden room and now an office, and the service is top of league.

Yes, you will get damages and some errors, but quickly sorted and collected and delivered the next day.

Personally, if anyone was looking for a kitchen then I would only recommend one man. Steve at Howdens Basildon.

Visited the Basildon, Essex branch a few times to view their kitchen ranges and received great service from them. Their kitchen ranges are excellent. Once initial plan completed by Benn, I visited again and spoke with Saff and Connie who were most welcoming and helpful. Saff went through the whole kitchen design and the changes I wanted and was very accommodating with them all. She made welcome suggestions too. Got a good price too and have just said “yes” to my dream kitchen! Can’t wait to get it now, very excited!

I have just joined Howdens as a tradesman . The experience is strange. It seems I have to order by e mail and then get the prices . Which my client thought were expensive. I have however ordered a sink and tsp pack which no one got back but was able to pick up .

Staff are great. Products are sub-standard. Poor finish, cheap look and generally poor construction.

I won’t be using them again for any of my projects.

We needed 6 new doors. The salesperson (Saph I think?) was very knowledgeable and helpful. Although only 4 were in stock on the day she ordered the other 2 which we collected later. All in all a very easy and stress free experience.

Doors ordered by a very present lady at the other end of the phone, doors arrived on time in perfect condition.

My family has known Steve for many years as he helped to design my parents' kitchen quite some time ago. He was so good back then my dad suggested I contact Steve again for my own kitchen. Steve has gone above and beyond to help me with my kitchen. He often took calls in the evening to address my queries and provide advice. I am grateful to him for providing this exceptional customer service and care. He is reliable and passionate about what he does which has been evident since my first contact with Steve. There is no doubt that I will put my family and friends in touch with Steve for future kitchen projects.

I cannot praise Howdens Basildon branch enough! Especially Steve from the branch. After attempting to work with other well known companies I was very pleasantly surprised in the service I received. From the initial design visit where Steve had some great suggestions that we went with, maximising the space we had, to the fast and easy delivery and payment PLUS any issues we had during fitting were resolved within the day. The quality of kitchens is noticeably better than others. From the cabinets, to flooring to hinges you're better off going with Howdens rather than thinking you're saving money elsewhere.

This product was what I required, and the staff were very helpful and polite.

We had booked a design meeting a few weeks in advance, and we called a few days before the meeting to confirm the appointment. When we arrived, nobody even acknowledged our presence despite two staff being there and sitting around chatting to each other. After ten minutes of waiting, we went to the counter and notified the person of our meeting. Unfortunately Howdens had double booked us and didn't have another available appointment, so we left. We're now considering taking our business elsewhere if this is how new customers are treated.

Lot of damaged items they were replaced but constantly to and from store 1/4 of items did not arrive till following days which put the fitter out as on daily rate wrong items also put on order staff we’re very good at sorting problems would i buy again NO
