Absolutely first class service, from our initial thoughts to completion, Alfie was faultless. He was knowledgeable , helpful, courteous and very professional. We did have a problem, not of Howden’s making, and Lauren stepped in, controlled the situation, which was resolved to our entire satisfaction. 5* service all the way! Highly recommended.

A small simple purchase and installation in overall business terms, but a 'giant leap' fulfilment for this end user. Front desk & fitting services sympathetic and efficient - sincere appreciation to Lauren, Adam and Keith. One happy little old lady has her kitchen restored! Thank you.

Having had quotes from 2 other suppliers we went to Howdens to look at their offerings. We went in a few times to look at their showroom and get some general advice. What struck us was that no matter who you talked to the service was always very professional and friendly.

We decided to go ahead to get a design done for our Kitchen, a separate Bar area, and a Utility Room. Curtis was our designer and throughout the process he was highly professional and creative, and nothing was too much trouble. Compared to the other designers we used with the 2 other suppliers there was actually no comparison.

We decided to go ahead with Howdens and used experienced and professional fitters who already had a good relationship with Howdens.
Some small changes were made and were quickly dealt with by the fitters and Howdens. We witnessed how with Howdens having most items in stock the project did not slow down, and this is a key advantage in their business model.

Our expectations were actually exceeded and we are very happy with the end result. We can’t thank Curtis enough for all of his expertise and patience in getting to where we are, and not just in the design but right through to implementation. In addition we would like to thank Basingstoke manager Ben who was also totally professional and flexible in all of our dealings with him. Many of his team played an important part, right to their friendly delivery man who made several deliveries to us and nothing was too much trouble manoeuvring around our building site.

Overall a great experience and we would highly recommend Howdens.

It's fair to say we went through a bit of an odyssey with our kitchen design. Wren (pushy/pricey), Two Guys (we don't do sage green, that will cost £45k for a custom paint colour) and Wickes (beyond terrible, which explains the tank parked outside their store for months) before Howdens and it was a breath of fresh air.

Nothing was too much trouble, he spent the time to understand what we wanted, and made sure things got delivered as agreed. He was never pushy (take note Wren) and genuinely wanted to get it right for us.

I would recommend spending the time to find someone who cares about your kitchen (i.e. Curtis at the Basingstoke branch).

Disappointed doesn't even begin to cover it. We feel completely betrayed by Basingstoke Howdens. After spending £23k on a kitchen, we now find ourselves with a product that doesn’t fit, all because Howdens made an error in measuring our space—not once, but twice during a subsequent check. This mistake has resulted in the soil pipe being in the wrong position, forcing my wife and me to incur additional costs to extend the wall to accommodate the error. Furthermore, this blunder has caused significant disruptions to our joiner’s work. The entire experience has been incredibly frustrating and costly

As an absolute novice I’ve always been wary of Howdens with its “trade only” focus expecting it to be a condescending experience professional to amateur but I went on the recommendation of our builder expecting the worse. How wrong I was and from the very outset we were met with knowledge and patience when trying to meet our poorly explained needs. We went back three times and on each occasion there was not a hint of frustration - only good honest help. All the staff were first class but we have to say Alfie was above that if that’s possible! How they make the switch from dealing one minute with a fellow professional to the next minute (in my case!) an utterly clueless Joe Public with complete ease is utterly beyond me. Customer service at its very best - thoroughly recommended.

We are in the process of renovatiing our house. Been visiting Howden several times over the last 3 months , to choose and purchase stuff . I like to mentioned that each time we arrived, there was always someone who will come forward to attend to us . One person whom we find
that is outstanding is Alfie. He is extremely good at making us welcome and putting us at ease . He is also knowledgeable, answered our queries , The designer Jodie. also listen to our spec . She designed the kitchen and will be doing the bedroom wardrobes.

Had great experience with the team at Basingstoke. Have used Howdens for years , but the first time for my own kitchen. Matt designed my kitchen. Very patient with us carried on tweaking the design until we were happy. He worked with us to give us the kitchen we had wanted for a long time. Jayne helped us to design our utility and it was perfect as well. The depot team are really helpful and always friendly.

Special mention to Ben aswell for always making sure the coffee is topped up for me for when I come in by far the best howdens I have dealt with.
