The service my wife and I received at Howdens Dumbarton was outstanding! A big mention has to go to Claire Bonner the kitchen designer , what an asset this lady is to Howdens . A pleasure to deal with . Just outstanding! 😊. The delivery guys everyone absolutely spot on ! I install kitchens all year round and deal with lot of people in the trade . I shall now be using Howdens Dumbarton .

Placed order early morning item was waiting for me and back home with item within half hour excellent service

Absolutely amazing from start to finish, from the initial contact in branch we were guided through the process especially when it came to design as we had no idea how many space saving products we could have but our designer, Claire, managed to give us everything we needed and more. Cannot thank her enough would highly recommend Howdens to anyone looking for new kitchen or even bedroom, didn't even know they done bedroom units so will be back soon.

Been using Howdens since they first opened their Dunbarton branch . Never been disappointed with the quality of service received or goods purchased. Staff always go the extra mile to help especially when dealing with my customers when choosing kitchens , their design service is faultless.

Purchased my kitchen 9 weeks ago (just finished) looked at all the adverts ,ie ,3d plan,discuss what’s required,plans for the fitter ,sadly received none of these .
My kitchen came about through my insurance after flooding and it was like for like (my previous kitchen was a wrens)
To put it mildly it was nothing like ,like for like
I must have been given their cast offs ,the cupboards where smaller depth wise,as for the drawers ,they are the cheapest of the cheap (soft close setting is ridiculous) no support on the base of drawers (gaps)I got one drawer which came about after speaking to a very rude manager which was a quality drawer with built in soft close ,but now I have mix and match drawers ,the girl who measured up my like for like kitchen couldn’t see I had a twin oven and marked it as a single oven which left the smallest drawer you could ever imagine (after everything it was changed) eventually,I have a spice rack which is so flimsy I’m not sure it will take any more than salt and pepper.
All in all my experience in dealing with
Howdens (Dumbarton) is atrocious,do not believe the slogan “A Kitchen to be proud of”
As I’m embarrassed to show it off .
Oh and was charged over £120 delivery and the fitters plans where drawn on paper with pen

No one even bothered to be in touch ,I expect they have the money ,so that’s it
Well I am now having to take legal advice and contacting trading standards about misleading advertising
Update 19/02/2025
So no contact from anyone at howdens (to be expected)
So took legal advice and now have to apply to a small claims court to seek compensation for poor quality kitchen and against the tradesperson who made a mess of the kitchen (obviously with the crap cheap fixture’s he had to work with).
Luckily my legal insurance will help pursue this claim ,will update again
But be aware of this company

At the Howdens’s branch that’s local to me in Dumbarton Scotland I now know all the staff on a personal level and we have great working relationships they know what I expect from them when I am planing work and ordering materials.

Howdens in Dumbarton is great. Easy to order online and really helpful staff when you have queries on products. As my purchase was over a certain amount, I spun the lucky roulette board in the foyer and walked away with a nice prize as well. David on the counter couldn't have been more helpful with the purchase, reminding me that the Howdens own brand hob carried an additional years warranty compared to the usual 2yrs from Currys etc. You can't beat Howdens!

Dissapointed that the previous lamona fridge freezer failed at 4 years old hopefully this one will last longer!
Dumbarton supplier very helpful and provided some missing parts on new unit very quickly enabling complete installation.
New unit noisier and freezer not so cold as previous even when set at third setting.
