Following the purchase of several kitchens
Following the purchase of several kitchens over the last 10 years. Decided it was time to purchase a new bespoke kitchen for our home. The manager Nadine designed the kitchen. The kitchen is outstanding!! The counter staff Alex, Caitlin, Lucy and Colin in the warehouse were always courteous and very knowledgable. Would highly recommend the Merthyr Tydfil Branch.

After dealing with Howdens Merthyr for years for customers kitchens , I decided it was my time to buy a kitchen for my own home and the service I had was absolutely outstanding the whole team always look after me. Your website states 'expert' customer service! What a joke.
Our contractor fitted a new Lamona single oven 4 months ago - stopped working christmas day. 3 weeks on - no resolution, no goodwill offer for the inconvenience of a ruined christmas & new year - which has caused great upset & anxiety. No empathy! Management are clearly more concerned about their P&L instead of what is morally & ethically right for the customer. Very unprofessional! Lamona is not good quality at all.

Lousy quality...do not buy.
Bought a pantry cupboard 18 months ago as part of a new kitchen. Already broken, the fittings holding the cupboard to the drawers has failed. Paid thousands just for the cupboard! Was told by Howdens salesman that it cost so much because of the quality 🤣 Told by Howdens that it's my fault for keeping empty jam jars in the drawer. I have always kept empty jars in the drawers of other kitchens.
I am beyond disappointed.

Kitchen seems good quality
Kitchen seems good quality, but the designer for the second time messed up the order. So on the fit day there was so many errors that hours and hours were wasted in the phone and driving around the city to various depots picking up missing parts,

Don't go to Merthyr Tydfil Howdens.
What a company of incompetent people and misinformation givers. The kitchen designer over 20years experience, mis-measured my kitchen, designed a kitchen with no work-surface. Put 2 x 300mm units to fit in a 600mm space??? Didn't add some of the things I asked for, a bonus item was charged for. It's like a secret society trying to get a price from them. Ordered over 8 weeks ago, paid for 4weeks ago, delivery date today still items missing. Not a company I would use again.

I've been waiting months for an email…
I've been waiting months for an email to confirm that the cost of fitting a new worktop as the original work top provide to be defective and it has been investigated by your company and they have told me they will pay for the cost of refitting. The Merthyr Tydfil branch have yet to email or past the conformation to me and this has gone on for at least 7 months. Which as a customer I find unacceptable. I'm looking forward to hearing the reason for this delay on sending an email?

Poor customer service-rectified
The headline poor customer service-rectified is regarding an unflattering initial review complaining about our whole experience with Howdens Merthyr Tydfil and customer service in particular.
Now under new management and from my recent experience the new manager appears to have a genuine interest in customer satisfaction.
Our complaints were taken seriously and rectified where possible.
