The team did a fantastic job designing our kitchen, taking the time to understand exactly what we wanted and offering helpful suggestions throughout the process.

They were incredibly flexible, accommodating changes and adjustments as our plans and building work evolved, which made the whole experience much less stressful. Communication was great, and we always felt supported and listened to.

The quality of the kitchen has exceeded our expectations. The units, fittings, and overall finish are excellent, and we're delighted with the final result.

Although we found them to be more expensive we were able to price match and we would highly recommend Howdens to anyone looking for a customer-focused service.

We’ve had the best experience at Howdens! Our builders suggested sourcing our kitchen from them, and effectively introduced us to Debbie, OUR designer, in August/September 2026. I say ‘our’ designer, because she was fantastic at understanding our needs and translating our vague ideas into what has now become a stunning kitchen. At every step of the way, with every change of mind, with every additional need, she has been unflustered and reassuring. In fact from our first contact at the branch with Max, the whole process has been smooth and straightforward, and on each visit to the branch (and there have been many!) it has felt very personal - we have been ‘known’, not just another anonymous face. It’s been a very positive experience and each member of staff who has helped us over the months of our to-ing and fro-ing has added to the sense of us being treated like friends, not just customers. Thanks to Max, we also bought our internal doors from the branch and are delighted with them too. All in all, we’ve had 5-star treatment, and have made friends along the way! Thank you Debbie, Max, Jordan, Paul (delivery with a smile!).

We had been to other brands and actually had the kitchen designed by them, but the reputation of Howdens (recommended by our builder and also anyone who’d had a kitchen in the last few years) we decided to see if they could match and improve upon our design - and critically the overall price. They did not disappoint.

Must give a huge shout out to Debbie Allen because she was our kitchen designer and simply did the most amazing job. She was kind, considerate, cared about our decisions, gave us great advice and was always on the end of an email or the phone to deal with a few minor issues we had (including whether we could for a integrated coffee machine in - sadly we couldn’t!) These issues were ALWAYS dealt with within a couple of days and I cannot praise her and the West Worthing team enough. We’ve always had lovely interactions with everyone who works at this branch.

My only gripe, and nothing to do other with the West Worthing branch, but I just wish Howdens would do finance as this would make buying from them so much more affordable for so many people.

As for the kitchen, well, we are really pleased with it. We went for Hockley super matt Marine Blue, and being totally honest, it does show finger prints - but they do rub off (with some elbow grease!) I wouldn’t get these if we had children though! The colour though, marine blue - wow! It’s so beautiful and the sun coming into through the windows changes the colour as it moves around the kitchen units. Really quite stunning.

Overall, I’d highly recommend Howdens and if you get Debbie, you’ve hit the jackpot!

We will definitely be going back to get our utility room kitted out in the same marine blue.

My mother passed away in November 2025, & we decided to completely renovate the family home. My son, Ryan did an apprenticeship with Howdens,so we were aware of their reputation for quality & service. Howdens recommended Dominic Nicklin to fulfill a role as project manager & master carpenter. The staff at the West Worthing branch were very friendly & helpful, & gave us a terrific kitchen plan courtesy of Debbie their designer. Dominic has just finished installing the kitchen, & it looks superb.

Howdens also provided us with quality doors to all of the rooms, & very good quality laminate floors for the kitchen, sitting room & hallway.

I would not hesitate to recommend Howdens for your new kitchen, & a big thank you to Jordan & his staff for meeting our needs & providing excellent value for money.

I ordered on line and was called ro say its ready to collect when I got there was all ready quick and easy

Absolutely appalled by their attitude. In January 2024 we spent over £15,000 with Howdens on a new kitchen along with appliances. This included a tumble dryer costing over £500, supplied by Lamona, Howdens exclusive own -label in-house brand which they recommend . Several months ago we received a recall notice from Lamona saying that the tumble dryer had a serious fault which could mean it could catch fire when used so it should only be used with supervision until they sent an engineer to rectify the problem. An engineer came within a few weeks and said he had fixed the problem. Of course, after that we thought everything was OK. On the 3rd of August this year we received another notification from Lamona staying that the previous fault had not been rectified properly and there was still a risk that the tumble dryer could catch fire when used so we should not use the machine at all. They supplied a helpline number which we have tried repeatedly with no success. We have not heard from them since and it is now 29 August. Yesterday, 28.08.2025, I went into the Howdens branch at West Worthing, which supplied the kitchen and appliances to us, and they said they couldn't do anything for us and had had no guidance from head office as to how to help people affected by this problem. Of course we are very unhappy and annoyed about this, we have not been able to use our tumble dryer for nearly a month now and there seems no likelihood of a swift resolution to the problem. Howdens are a big company and could surely afford to replace all the tumble dryers with safely functioning ones? Or at least refund us? The senior management do not seem concerned that people now have dangerous equipment in their houses - I cannot believe how they are getting away with this! We have contacted Which and are looking into possible legal avenues but of course companies know that that entails possible high legal costs so dissatisfied customers are discouraged from taking this route. In future I will be avoiding using this company at all costs!

Really happy with the whole process from design to completion. Deborah was always available and very knowledgeable.

I’ve used west Worthing Howdens a number of times and have always found Jordan and his team very helpful and knowledgeable. The kitchens and fitted bedrooms are great quality, I would highly recommend them.

I popped in to howdens at West Worthing
Looking to talk to someone about getting my kitchen re done. Tristan gave me a break down of the process, arranged to come and meet me at my home and discuss things further.
Tristan turned up on time, was very professional, knowledgable and friendly.
And I had a mock up of my new kitchen by the end of the week!
I look forward to finalising my kitchen with Tristan next week!

West Worthing depot served br Tristan very very professional service and recommended things we hadn't thought of very very happy

£180 doors should be delivered with correct amount of packaging, I had to get door replacement twice as they would always turn up with a scratch, a bump a stain, you name it. Also returns can't be easily processed in any branches. It has to be the branch you bought from.
Also, branch staff professionalism is quite variable. Branches: West worthing, Rustington.
Also, online customer portal is clunky in terms of basket/project management, accounting processes/documents. There is always a 24 hours delay between branch transactions and portal update.
Finally, door sizes are referenced on the website in empirial measurements and no metric measurements (Brexit backlash?).

The staff at the Goring Branch are always very courteous and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Goods received are always of the highest quality and delivery arrangements are always on time - No more to be said - 5 stars all round.
