Car took 6 months to arrive.
Poor quality images hid the defects which not declared.
So unexpected long list of replacements:
Door pull handles, start button, headlight switch - all sticky. Lots of plastic under the hood. Headlights with water in them fog lights like shining light through milk bottle.
Front brake discs scored, coolant contaminated. Steering moans - car needs a new rack.
Japanese agent wrote on the windscreen, permanently damaging the surface and this needs polishing out with special jewellers rouge - JDM couldn't care less - not their problem they say!
Subsequently, I has been my problem to even get insurance.
JDM did not give the correct procedure. After 3 days web searching and phoning I finally got it but had to pay double after several more days of shouting at MOT stations to just get an MOT (car passed with advisory on brake discs).
Still not got the cluster converted to UK MPH because once you have your Jap car people take liberties and waste your time - smart when they want to be and plain ignorant/awkward when they see the opportunity to rip off somebody so stupid as to buy a Jap import.
JDM were no help, always slow to reply and never any real help at any point after getting my money.
How unhelpful - imagine an Irish Ferrari dealer.
I got the impression they have heard all these complaints before but couldn't care less.

I now know how to do this but no thanks to JDM.
I know not to use them again.

They will probably reply but if they really cared they wouldn't write paint pen on windscreens and would provide the correct information and support.

Brought in a Toyota Estima at the tail end of 2025. I was looking at brining in a Ae111 GT Corolla and had asked about one or two that came up at auction. The first auction I bid on unfortunately didn’t meet reserve but Patrick said he knew of one for sale at a dealer that he thinks is better. He was not wrong. Car ended up being much more original and in immaculate condition. I will definitely be a returning customer in the future. All the crew at JDM auction made it a breeze to import a car.

Couldn't fault the service Patrick provides. He was very helpful the whole way through. The car he sourced me I knew was good when I saw the photos before it was shipped but was completely blown away when I saw it in person when it landed in Ireland. As somebody who has never imported a car before i was a little scared about where to start. The first time i contacted JDMauctionwatch i knew that i was in good hands. I sent a picture of a car that i wanted in the UK to Patrick but he told me not to bother with it as he spotted a lot of rust in it via the photos. He then sent me a link to a website for cars on the continent and told me to email him when i spotted a car that i liked, after a few weeks i did just that and Patrick took care of the rest. Everything was sorted and the car was delivered to my door. I'm so glad that i took Patrick's advice in considering a Left Hand Drive car as so many classic Italian cars have succumbed to rust here in Ireland and the UK. I'd love to get another classic Italian car again in the future and if i do see something that i'd like to import to Ireland then Patrick and his team at JDMauctionwatch will be the company that i shall be using.
