The food and service was good we went to the yeadon was clothiers Wetherspoons that we frequent weekly, I took my grandson who’s just turned 3 out for breakfast. He doesn’t speak and has autism and some learning challenges. He was sat lovely at our table with his tablet that he uses to interact and leans things from only to be approached by one of the staff big bald man, saying will you turn the tablet down. No other explanation ( point to note we were all talking louder than his little iPad. I asked politely can I ask why or what the problem was as I was perplexed, his response a very abrupt was it’s disturbing other customers. No one sat next to us or in a vicinity appropriate to even make that statement. So we won’t be going here anymore and I hope someone tells him his approach was way off. I could understand if music or was loud or even if the child was running wild but no not in the slightest. Other customers looked horrified.
A bit of consistency in standards wouldn't go amiss at spoons
Further to my review this week I was telling a relative up North about the poor service I experienced on the 14/04/26. I was told that the same problem ocurred at the Retford spoons some time ago and after informing the server they had only recieved the small plate which they had already eaten the manager sent another plate over the standard size. If only the staff at the Bluff Inn could follow suit in the South West.
Loud hands free phone usage unchallenged
It’s a great idea. Food and drink is really good value at all of the outlets (London branches are much less value these days) - BUT expect lots of berks listening to videos/TikToks or conducting hands free calls at full volume - all ages, most noticeably my age group - 50s to 60s. This is not allowed, as per large signs on doors, alongside bans on dogs and smoking/vaping. Idiots with loud phones are NEVER challenged in my experience - people bringing dogs in are ejected very quickly, but you can smoke (and vape) at all entrances and in all designated non-smoking areas. I don’t use the garden in good weather anymore as it’s full of smokers, everywhere, even where they are explicitly banned. Again, in my experience.
I still like it but always bring noise-cancelling headphones…
The oxted inn
We went to The oxted inn in oxted and as it was Thursday had the curry.
It arrived quite quickly but the poppadoms were not fully cooked, the naan bread had not been cooked properly and was very chewy, the curry was very watery and rice was just a big clump. The manager ask if everything was alright and we explained the problem and she went and got some more food but it was no better. She tried to explain that it was not the chefs fault but it was the equipment. Senior management needs to visit this inn and see what is going on,as they can not produce a decent meal and we won't eat there again. John

Kelly at potters wheel was amazing made us feel comfortable would definitely come back
Give us parking back
Car park at the court of requests in Oldbury is closed except for workmen, even the disabled place is occupied by a workmans van which meant we had to go elsewhere for our meals, pity really as food and service was excellent but i guess there loss is someone elses gain, unfortunately the car park opposite is always full and there is restricted parking on the side streets

Decided to go for an evening meal at the Earl of Mercia, Coventry - (like we do weekly.) Ordered food through the app and selected a vegetarian all day brunch and fish and chips. When the food arrived, the brunch was the meat one.So I told the waitress what I had ordered. She asked me to check on my phone...could've sworn I selected the veggie option but unfortunately it didn't show this on my order history. The waitress said she would speak to the manager and see what they can do and left taking the food back with her.She came back only to tell us that the manager Shaun was unable to do anything about this. We then asked to speak to the manager himself. Took him a while to come to us.We explained the situation that we're regular customers and that it was human error when the selection was made and that the food was untouched. He didn't really care and brushed it off as a "I appreciate that but..." We were really disappointed with their customer service. I mean considering everything is a microwave meal here, you would think they'd have a little bit of compassion but no! This guy Shaun was heartless. Won't be visiting here again due to their rubbish customer service.
Stone cold breakfast dirty tables
Wetherspoons emersons Green Bristol. Stone cold breakfast dirty table. Veggie sausages were not cooked. Nobody came to ask if we were happy with our meal. When i told a member of staff who was collecting plates i wasnt happy they just said sorry and disappeared into the kitchen. We wont be back!! P.s when you make toadt you cook both sides not just one!!!!
Your staff are RUDE AND AGGRESSIVE
Your staff are RUDE AND AGGRESSIVE. Myself and my family popped in today at Tower Hill, 7 adults and 5 children. While some of the adults were inside purchasing drinks for everyone some of us waited outside with the children. Your member of staff came over and removed the chairs the our 4 year olds were sitting on and when asked why he responded that we were not paying customers. When we attempted to advise him our family were inside purchasing beverages he refused to acknowledge us and just took the seating. This upset everyone especially the small children. Then security decided to intervene which was totally uncalled for, then the police!! The female police officer was also aggressive and rude. Threatening us with a section 5 when all we tried to do was explain our side of the story. Children became scared and upset, no one acknowledged that the male member of staff had no reason to take away the Children's seating and so we decided to remove ourselves and the small ones. I cannot believe the behaviour of your staff. Removing children's seats was a disgrace and yes we were upset by this in fact disgusted. We won't be back and will ensure anyone we know with families do not try and sit outside one of your premises again!!!
Went to the Wetherspoons in Slough
Went to the Wetherspoons in Slough, what a horrible experience and damning reflection of the town, staff were the most rude and obnoxious I have ever come across, far too preoccupied with checking people’s ID than providing a smile and hospitable experience for their customers, which is worrying for people working in the hospitality industry?? The irony of someone who looks 15 sneaking around and radioing his older friends to come and check the ID of a 25 year old was not lost on me (not myself I must add), I get the rules but lighten up with it and have a more personal approach! Disgusting attitude from the staff throughout and made us feel totally unwelcome, get a new job if you hate people that much, DO NOT go here if you want a warm welcome, neither myself or my family will set foot in a Wetherspoons again.
Layton Rakes, Blackpool
Maybe Tim Martin can call into the Layton Rakes, Blackpool on a Saturday night and watch mature real ale drinkers leave in their droves.
If we want ear drum bursting crap music, there are loads of venues nearby where one can experience that.
This is Wetherspoons for God's sake.
Judging by the age of the staff they clearly have no concept of the art of conversation.

Highly discriminating and treated very poorly by staff here over an issue i raised mulitple times and the disabled toilet was full of human waste. Raised multiple times and it was not dealt with and spent the entire evening being starred at my the manager. We eventually left as we was discusted how they were treating us over a very servious issue.

Kingfisher Poynton, bad service
We visit this pub in Poynton several times a year, and have never had a problem. However today we waited 45 minutes for 1 meal. It had obviously been sat on the pass a long time as it was barely aired. The server didn't offer an apology until pressed but then it wasn't genuine so meant nothing! My mum didn't want to send it back as she was worried what they might do to her food. Very disappointed in the pub we usually find ok
The Pwllheli pub
The Pwllheli, North Wales restaurant was a great experience. Food was hot, timely and staff were friendly and helpful. I cannot understand some of the reviews in that most Wetherspoons I have visited have always been very good. Obviously if you look for 5 star meals, it is not going to happen but there again the price reflects that. It’s cheap and cheerful and pleasant enough. Bottom line, it’s worth the money you pay for it.
I watched the staff working together in Pwllheli, clearing and resetting tables. It was efficient and showed a great team ethic. It’s good to see staff working so well together.
Ordered drinks via the app
Ordered drinks via the app. It Took my money and cancelled the order.
Went to the bar only to be told I will have to pay again and they would sort refund with their cash control. Plenty of emails back and fourth with all the info! Absolutely disgusting! The queens picture house, waterloo 30th March
Worst night and meal ever!!
Worst night and meal ever!!! Unfortunately have to leave 1 star as cannot leave none.. St annes wetherspoons meals were barely warm and not very nice. Thought this was a family pub, visited with our two older children. Ordered at 8.30pm, brought the drinks, then the food, then to be told we would have to leave at 9pm. Was forced out of the place, when we had barely finished the food and not allowed to finish our drinks. Only left because the staff had upset our daughter by keep coming back to tell us to leave at 9.05pm. Ordered a glass of wine which was awful. Also had run out of salt.
Well done Joe!
I've been to the Thomas Waghorn in Chatham with 6 members of my family. I throughly enjoyed our trip. Joe at the till took our order and checked everything as he went and prompted us when something was missing that we were entitled to. Pub was medium busy upstairs but the food came out quickly and everyone enjoyed their meals
Yet again they mess up something…
Yet again they mess up something simple. Specifically the Foley Arms in Malvern. When they did missed grills I had to return 5 of them. Today, all I wanted was a breakfast. Instead I got solid toast, a thin piece of something I believed to be the bacon, no eggs at all for some reason, two cold sausages and about 11 baked beans. I also had to wait 55 minutes for that. While everyone else at the table got their food and finished it I was still waiting. Ended up going to a coffee shop to get a sandwich instead.

Prince of wales in Cardiff has the worst staff worst security I’ve ever witnessed. Bullying an 18 year old girl on her first night out because the waitress took her the wrong drink and blamed her. She got called a thief and was told to leave. Vile people absolutely disgusted.
