Sweets never dispatched

Sweets never dispatched, no answer to emails. I ended up leaving a Facebook message and they finally replied, after a discussion I got a full refund. They did expect me to wait until almost a month had passed to see if it turned up, once I said it was food and wouldn't accept it after that length of time I was offered a refund.
It's a shame as I've used them before, but after this I (and my family ) will never use them again.

I've ordered from here multiple times…

I've ordered from here multiple times last year and not had any major issues (occasionally a longer than anticipated delivery but nothing major).

I love the huge selection and the prices are very reasonable, hence why I have usually ordered my sweets from here.

However, this will likely change as when I received my most recent order (received on 14th march, ordered about 10 days before this). I received the complete wrong order.

I emailed the company literally as soon as I had opened the box and realised it was wrong... then emailed again 5 days later, then used their website contact form, then emailed again, and then the website form AND then contacted them multiple times on Instagram. Not one reply.

I ordered sweets from here in the hope of making easter themed sweet bags for the children in my family.
I received black and white sweets, random flavours of fudge and other sweets which are the total opposite of Easter and spring. I've had to re-buy elsewhere so i've spent double.

I feel like leaving a bad review is the only way I would get any sort of response/customer service which is such a shame.

Don’t Bother

Don’t bother ordering from here, am still waiting for my order to be despatched, it still hasn’t and it’s been a week now, if I don’t hear anything by tomorrow nor does it get despatched then I am gonna retract my payment and will not be ordering from them again

Terrible customer service (sorted now)

Terrible customer service. I have ordered £25 worth of sweets which it says will take 3-5 working days to arrive. After waiting the 5 working days nothing arrived. I contacted support who ignored me I waited the 48 hours for a response and then another 48 and with 3 more email to them I got a response with tracking which they haven’t even sent out yet. I also contacted the company through social media where the man was rude and acting like it was not his issue at all and why am I bothering him. Definitely would never order from here again. Wish I looked at the reviews before as it does seem like a very poorly run company. If you are thinking about ordering from here go to anywhere else they have the same prices and actually care about customers.

Have spoke to the owner and have received a full refund he did do all he could to get this refund as they responded after it had been sent but recalled the order for me. Seems like a nice guy probably just over worked and needs to get a new customer service team as they seem like they are the issue not him. There was some back and forth but over all he helped me get the outcome I wanted and I appreciate it.

We do aim to reply to all emails within 48 hours Monday to Friday only. Emails sent outside of our working window will be replied to within our working hours time frame.

Please note, we do not reply to emails over a weekend.

Zero stars - ordered 21 February as a surprise extra gift for my dads 85th birthday on 28th Feb. I had chased them for an update which was responded with… Hello Emma,

We do have a 5 working day processing time on all orders, unfortunately we've also been closed.ost of this week, due to a bereavement.

However on 02 March I replied to them the following : am so sorry to hear that. However an update would of been appreciated- I have been emailed by yourselves to confirm delivery however I still not have received my order. Do you want me to cancel and purchase elsewhere - I don’t wish to sound ungrateful under your circumstances however an update would of been appreciated and your customers notified - also just to clarify I have not received the order still. These are a gift for my fathers birthday who turned 85 on the 28th February. Shame really - it’s now 06 March no reply - no parcel … I’ve applied chargeback. I appreciate unforeseen circumstances happen- however a tracking label was printed in 21 Feb for Evri and update it’s still with the sender. I wish I read reviews- just wasting everyone’s time!!

Great sweet Company

I know this company very well and have had many orders from them, would just like to say that their sweets are very nice, with a great selection of choice and good value.

I know that some customers me too, were having issues with delivery but I can rest assure you, you will receive them, it's just a technical fault they were experiencing.

That's why I am going to carry on ordering their lovely sweets, and stay SWEET!

No sign of sweets 3 weeks later

I have previously left a review as my order hadn't been dispatched after 2 weeks. Following that I received an email from the company owner claiming they had emailed me twice previously about one of the items on my order. I did not receive those emails but did receive the one asking me to remove my review. Make of that what you will.

I then received a dispatch email on the 24th Feb, but now a week later the tracking STILL says it's with the sender. Now 3 weeks after I ordered, no sign of the sweets arriving and no response to emails/contact form on the website.

Great Sweets, Great Price

Ordered 2 1KG create your own pick 'n' mix bags, a 250g create your own pick 'n' mix bag and some Turkish Delight. So impressed with the price, especially with the variety of sweets on offer. Delivery was longer than stated but that didn't bother me as this is a small business, and I'd much rather support a small business

I’m really disappointed with my most recent order. The delivery was fast although a few things have changed. I ordered from Joy of Sweets last year and everything was fantastic, which is why I came back and had previously recommended them to others.

Unfortunately, this time the quality just isn’t there. The sweets are extremely hard and noticeably lacking flavour, which makes me wonder if suppliers have changed. I specifically placed the order for the strawberry bricks, only to find they were missing from my delivery I wasn’t informed they were out of stock, nor was I refunded for them.

It’s a real shame because this used to be a place I trusted and happily recommended, but based on this experience I don’t feel the quality or service matches what it once was.

Most of the customers orders is pre bagged and pre made sweet bags that are made by our suppliers. Unfortunately we have no control over the the quality.

Unfortunately, we've not been made aware of any issues by the customer prior to this review, this is very unfortunate as we're able to assist with all queries and concerns.

GO ELSE Where! Very disappointed that my order has not…

Very disappointed that my order has not arrived, been waiting two weeks for them and no updates. Emailed the customer service email provided and got a reply to confirm delivery.... Not very helpful when received nothing and yodel cannot help me as they haven't received anything from company.

Joy of sweets? I don't think so.

Absolute disgrace. Exactly 3 weeks to get my order. Contacted several times and was fobbed off. I want to support local businesses but you are total amateurs. This is no way to run a business.
This isn't a one off either. This is my 3rd order and the same thing happened then too. Well I won't ever order again

No Joy and Only Some of the Sweets!

Firstly, I genuinely do not like to leave negative reviews - I always try to be fair, but I feel I would like to warn other potential customers following my experience.
I made an order at the start of December (of around £55) for a number of stocking filler gifts for Christmas.
The order arrived 15 days later. Although this took longer than expected I put the delay down to the Christmas rush.
Upon opening the parcel, I was disappointed to find a large number of items missing (£18 worth)
I sent an email to their suggested contact explaining the situation.
I waited 12 days but heard nothing so I sent another email in case it had been overlooked after the Christmas break. Still there was no response.
I then tried to contact them through their 'Contact Us' link on their website. Once again - nothing.
Finally I had no choice but to open a dispute through Paypal (Which I had used to make my Purchase)
A few weeks later after no response from the company - Paypal ruled the dispute in my favour and I got the refund.
Joy of Sweets unfortunately does not seem to value customer service. There really is no excuse to ignore emails (especially from customers from which you have already taken money from)
Overall, I won't use them again and warn other potential customers that if there is a problem with your order don't expect them to help you out - let alone even acknowledge you!

HORRENDOUS! Avoid At All Costs

This company is HORRENDOUS!

3 Weeks & NO ORDER!

Users on Facebook, Instagram & Tic-Toc Shop are clearly prioritised over loyal customers who have used them before!

I was willing to let my last order go (3 weeks) as it was close to Christmas, but 3 weeks and nothing is horrendous!

Then, today I receive an email from them direct to confirm the delivery of my order!

Is someone taking the mick!

1 star is all I can give as I couldn’t give NONE!

It’s February now, so only order for Christmas 2026 as you won’t get your order any earlier, if at all 😡
