As a parent that has had 11 years of homeschooling we have been with K12 OVCA for 6years and it offers the best education for my daughter. She has come so far in her learning that I'm amazed every time I open her grades. She is on the flex schedule and she is doing so well. Straight A's in all care subjects. I also love the in person events. She went to prom and had so much fun she want to go every year until graduation. She loves the ice skating in the winter ss well.

Hello. That’s so wonderful to hear! It sounds like your daughter is truly thriving with OVCA and the flex schedule. Straight A’s in her core subjects is such an incredible accomplishment, and it really speaks to both her hard work and the support she’s getting at home.
I love that she’s enjoying the in‑person events, too. Prom, ice skating, all of it — those experiences make such great memories, and it’s awesome that she wants to keep going every year until graduation. It’s clear she’s found a place where she can grow academically and enjoy the fun parts of school life.

Staff help so much and it's not so much the grade it's do they understand what they are learning. Tutors are there and I've never been charged. Just complete support.

Without the staff and commitment from the school my son wouldn't be as advanced as he is. He went from hating school to signing up for everything. We even put our second son when he was having problems at school.

My son has attended HVAM since 3rd grade. He is now in 10th with no plans of leaving until graduation. Staff have been absolutely wonderful and they actually do care about the students they teach.

I absolutely loathe Aristotle.
I absolutely loathe Aristotle. I am not sure why there is not a direct link to Aristotle vs k-12, but I used to work in education software (non-competing company) and I know that this software is lacking a lot of fundamental requirements to meet today's standards. I need to use this platform to secure test-taking, and I can never rely on it. I can count how many times it was supposed to work the way it did, rather than the contrary. I cannot believe my school district is spending money on a service that consistently doesn't work. It is not the age of our Chromebooks because we are brand-new. It isn't the service, as many children are doing fine with connections. I have children clear their cache to help, and it still under-performs. I am going to petition to get rid of this software immediately/as soon as our contract is up.

The whole school faculty is there to help the students. I have had a student homeschooling at INGDA for 6 years. They will work with you to solve any problem and the school keeps you updated through emails.

The teachers work really well with my son. He has an IEP in place and they accommodate my son very well. He told me that he never wants to go back to a regular brick n’ mortar type school. We are very pleased with everything and everyone at INDLS. THANK YOU!!

Improved grades
My daughter has proven that I made the right choice in putting her in online school! Her grades have improved and she's in general Ed classes instead of special Ed but still receives extra help when needed!

My son is autistic as well as my daughter and being able to learn in a virtual environment is the best! They are able to take as many breaks as needed and they even look forward to logging on in the morning to get their work done. They both have reading levels well above their grade and it's very rewarding to be such a big part of their education as their learning coach. The teachers are great and we haven't had one we weren't able to collaborate with. I also don't worry about their physical safety anymore. It's been life changing for our family and we are very grateful!
