To be clear from the start, I am not a Kerseys customer nor have I used their services but I was involved in a sale where my purchaser used this solicitors so think the experience is important to anyone in the position. I have seen lots of negative reviews from others where Third Parties have complained and how they always look out for their clients best interested... I don't buy it!

I will never do a sale where Kerseys are involved in the chain. The complete lack of response from Kerseys to proceed with my sale was disgraceful. They sat on information for 3 weeks without sharing anything with their client whilst ignoring all correspondence from my solicitor. It was made clear that we had a hard deadline and this was agreed with their client however Kerseys did everything they could possibly do to delay the sale.

Kerseys must have a limit on how often they can reply to emails and a delay send as all responses seemed to come through at 5pm just as most solicitors close up for the night. Add the fact that they get a response early the next morning, nothing until the end of the day.

There is no other profession in the world where ignoring someone for 3 weeks and doing nothing (to the point I even have the buyer (their client) on the phone saying they don't know what to do because their solicitors are not progressing the sale), would be acceptable.

Good luck if you have Kerseys as a Third-party solicitor or are considering using Kerseys as your solicitor. I thought Ross Coates Solicitors were bad, but Kerseys sank to a new low! Never will I deal with these people again, and I would rather have a sale fall through than put up with this again!!!

Having previously used Edward @ Kerseys for a sale a few years ago, I reached back out to him following the excellent experience I had previously. Kerseys price was competitive with other solicitors for conveyancing and we chose to use them for a purchase. Unfortunately the first house fell through after an awful lot of work from Edward and being very close to exchange. Edward kindly offered to keep our profile open while we looked for a new property which happened very quickly.
The new property posed some challenges with the vendors and chain looking for an extremely quick turnaround. Edward worked thoroughly with us to ensure all steps were completed to a timescale requested and we were in a position to exchange in 5 weeks (which is seriously impressive with all that was involved in a complex purchase).
I would certainly recommend Edward to anyone and will definitely look to use him/Kerseys again.

Initially we were contacted by Edward and given a quote. We were happy with the price and Edward appeared informative and efficient.
Unfortunately it was downhill from there…

Once we had appointed Kerseys we were given another solicitor to manage our house purchase. We were informed that the initial quote we received was incorrect and our final cost was substantially higher than quoted. (If we’d have been quoted this cost initially we wouldn’t have appointed Kerseys!) we continued to use Kerseys as they already been appointed and the ball was rolling.

As first time buyers purchasing a new build property we weren’t part of a chain (a straight forward purchase) however it was made so stressful and lengthy due to the complete lack of communication from Sharon. We rarely received updates and would constantly be having to chase matters up. Our move ended up being delayed due to lack of efficiency.

Unfortunately we definitely won’t be using Kerseys in future and wouldn’t recommend them. If you’re looking for a professional and efficient solicitor - look elsewhere.
