Good comms with the selling agent, good comms re delivery, which was as scheduled. The camera is as described and works. I just hope that it continues to. Always a worry with a second hand item

Great item for sale and a good price too and fantastic communication from your staff

In Reading, I found very friendly and helpful staff who resolved my lens filter problem easily and recommended a new lens I asked about. When I purchased from LCE in Hereford, it came promptly and is just what I needed. A second hand lens in excellent condition

I went into the Hereford LCE store yesterday (31 Aug 25) for some lens covers and camera body caps.
I went in with a monocle night viewing device to help get the right size for them (two lenses & one device body / 6 covers & caps altogether). The assistant was very dismissive, unhelpful totally uninterested in selling anything to me. He made no attempt to sell at all, he just told me, without even trying, that the items were 'not standard' and he had nothing that would fit. The lenses or body do not have the sizes on them, but it takes no time to try one or two for size.
This is the second such experience in the Hereford store, and my last!
Hence, I went home and bought what I need on amazon, they arrived today...the next day, and they are some £30 better off for it.
With poor customer care like that in stores, no wonder the high streets are dying on their feet.
Happy to give my name to the store central office or meet with the Hereford store manager.

My item was as described: "Mint/Like New"and well deserving of the ***** it had been given on the LCE website. It also reached me swiftly, well padded and secure. My discussions with the LCE staff were also extremely helpful and informative.

I purchased a new camera from LCE in Hereford last year which I later realised was not right for me. I decided to either part exchange or sell and took the camera in for valuation. Unfortunately, I got the same salesman who appeared completely disinterested that I wasn't happy with my camera and made little effort to offer alternatives. I'm sure he is very knowledgeable but seems unwilling or unable to impart some of that knowledge to help customers make informed choices. He gave me the impression that he couldn't be bothered!
In stark contrast I found out about Clifton Cameras at Staverton. What a difference. 5* customer service and a much improved offer for my camera. The salesman was so helpful, explained information well and clearly wanted to ensure that I got a camera I would be happy with.
I think the salesman at LCE would benefit from some customer service training so that other people don't leave the store having had a very disappointing negative experience.

I phoned about a particular lens for sale, asked various questions to a very knowledgeable chap and ordered the lens on a Saturday and it arrived on the following Tuesday. More than happy with it and the service.

LCE Hereford foolishly used DPD to convey my parcel. Instead of delivering it, DPD's driver dumped £200-worth of camera accessories in a different street, clearly without bothering to check where he really was.

Neil at LCE Hereford was prompt, diligent, and helpful in dealing with DPD's incompetence. But LCE at a higher level must take responsibility for using DPD at all. DPD is one of several parcel companies whose reputation is far too mixed to be trusted.

Helpful advice and guidance from the local instore staff which ended in a replacement lens - a used lens within my price range. staff from Hereford branch also helpful, replacement lens despatched promptly and arrived the next day. A good experience throughout. I would recommend the company wholeheartedly.
