The products are significantly more expensive than in the US. The quality is inconsistent — you just hope the piece you get will be good and that you won’t have to return it. Long delivery times that keep getting extended. I’ve been waiting for a Leatherman Arc for 14 days and keep getting updates that the delivery time has been delayed again. I’m done with this — I’ll buy a multitool from the competition instead.
Wo ist meine Ware? Will mein Geld zurück!
Leider kann ich nichts zur Qualität sagen weil ich das Produkt erst gar nicht erhalten habe. Geld wurde gleich bei Bestellung abgebucht. War bei Zustellung in Urlaub. Ware ging zurück. Leathermann informiert - kein Problem sobald retour senden sie es wieder. Nach 2 Monaten angefragt was ist los. Unterstellen die mir doch glatt ich hätte die Ware vl. doch erhalten? Ich soll bei meinen Nachbarn fragen und irgendwelche Fragebögen von DHL ausfüllen. Also eine absolut bodenlose Frechheit! hier dem Kunden so etwas zu unterstellen obwohl Leatherman selbst mittels Tracking einsehen konnte das die Ware nicht zustellbar und zurück ging. Also wer hier Spielchen spielt! Kundenservice total unfreundlich dem Kunde gegenüber und unter jeder Kritik. Nun hoffe ich das Sie mir mein Geld wieder zurück geben.
Das Geld absolut nicht wert
Für mich sind Leatherman Tools absolut überteuert und den Kundenservice ist ein Graus. Auch das neue Wave Alpha, lächerlicher Preis. Hab jetzt alles verkauft und komplett auf Victorinox umgestellt. Da hat man noch echte Qualität auf die man sich im Notfall absolut verlassen kann. Bei Leatherman bist verlassen.

Tools are good but poor customer service
Tools are good but that irrelevant if the customer service is so poor.
Sent a tool off for warranty repair, checked in on it on week 4, 6 and 8, was advised warranty repairs take 4-6 weeks, then 8-10 weeks... After week 10 they then decide to tell me they never received the tool. They now won't advise me on a solution and I am now £300+ out of pocket with nothing to show.
I sent the parcel 24hr royal mail, I may have lost the tracking number, but the likelihood of it not making it there is miniscule.

I received my Micra and was disappointed to learn that it can't cut cleanly because the scissors are lose. After sending it to inspection I was not compensated or offered a refund.

Issue with Leatherman Skeletool KB Blade Discoloration
I am writing to express my disappointment regarding a recent purchase of your Leatherman Skeletool KB.
Upon receiving the knife, I gently cleaned the cutting blade with an alcohol-wetted paper towel. To my surprise, the black coating on the blade immediately came off, leaving the blade discolored.
I specifically chose this knife due to Leatherman's reputation for quality and the Skeletool KB's lightweight design, which is ideal for my needs as a cycling commuter. My intention was to use it for preparing food, such as cutting bread and fruit, during my lunch breaks. However, after witnessing the black paint transfer onto the paper and the subsequent discoloration of the blade, I no longer feel comfortable using it for food preparation.
If this level of quality is to be expected from a knife at this price point, I am frankly appalled.

Esperienza pessima. Ho acquistato una leatherman surge nera e mi è arrivata molto dura da aprire. Dopo averla restituita ho preso una leatherman surge inox che qualche giorno dopo ha iniziato a fare ruggine, cosa inspiegabile. Restituita in garanzia e a detta loro mi hanno inviato una pinza nuova perché quella precedente aveva un difetto di fusione. Arrivata quella nuova e anche quella dopo una settimana ha iniziato a fare ruggine nello stesso identico punto. Può succedere una volta, ma dopo due volte mi sembra assurdo spendere 180 euro per una pinza cinese che vale la metà.
Mi hanno anche contattato per chiedermi che avrebbero risolto il problema e mi avrebbero dato un buono sconto, allora la pinza non costa 180€ se riescono a inviarmi 3 pinze a spese loro e per giunta inviarmi un buono sconto.
Nur noch minderwertige Qualität
Ich habe ein PST, was mir über mehr als 20 Jahre gute Dienste geleistet hat, an Leatherman geschickt mit der Bitte der Reparatur.
Zurück bekommen habe ich ein anderes Tool mit minderwertiger
Qualität. Natürlich war auch keine Schere dabei.
Nach ca 2Jahren ist das Teil völlig verbraucht. Messer abgebrochen, Kreuzschlitzschraubenzieher defekt Schlitzschraubenzieher abgebrochen und zu guter letzt bricht der Haltebügel ab.
Ich habe das Teil immer in der Hosentasche und niemals mit dem Clip irgendwo angesteckt.
Bei der Qualität kann ich auch gleich in den 1€ Shop gehen.
SPAM
This has for a long time been my favorite multi-tool brand. My only contact with "leatherman.com" is a few years ago when I asked about the final stock of some of my favorite models that went EOL. Not sure I got any reply at all, but now, over two years later they started sending me daily newsletters. This is what's called "SPAM" in Europe. I've asked their customer support for an explanation, and also to stop spamming me, but without getting any answer.
Not a good sign when a company has no customer support, but desperately spams every email they've been in contact with.

Gute, nette wenn auch etwas verzögerte Kundenbetreuung. E-Mail-Konservation wird allerdings trotz vorhandener Telefonnummer bevorzugt. Paket wurde von DHL nicht geliefert. Ersatzlieferung mit kleinem Überraschungsgeschenk nach entsprechendem Feedback erhalten.

Die Firma wirbt mit einer 25-jährigen Garantie, aber ich habe keine Hilfe oder Erklärung erhalten. Der Service hat keinerlei Kulanz gezeigt. Sehr enttäuschend und kundenunfreundlich! Ich wechsele jetzt zur Konkurrenz, von der sie lernen könnten, wie guter Kundenservice aussieht.

DHL CODE gaf aan dat de bestelling (1 tool) zelfs nooit Duitsland is uitgeweest. Klantenservice onbereikbaar, vrees met grote vrees dat ik weer kan fluiten naar mijn geld. Onvoorstelbaar dat je zo met klanten omgaat. Would NOT recommend.

Due to Leatherman's distribution agreements, Australians pay a price premium of over 50% on the same product compared to buying it in America. A great product but completely exploitive policies. If I lived in Timor Leste I would not have this issue! Buy Gerber, just as useful but cheaper.
Increíble servicio de garantía
Pués más que encantado de ser cliente de esta gran marca sinónimo de fiabilidad y calidad y sobre todo si servicio de garantía.
Hace algunas semanas mandé a garantía mi Leatherman Charge que después de unos 10 años y por la rotura de la hoja del abrelatas necesitaba un poco de mimo.
Tenía las puntas de los alicates con cierto desalineamiento, es cierto que ha sido una herramienta que ha sido usada casi a diario, aunque ha tenido un buen trato ha trabajado en condiciones exigentes, etc.
El proceso para mandarla ha sido super sencillo siguiendo las recomendaciones de la propia Leatherman y después de algunas semanas en la recibí en mi domicilio totalmente cambiada.
- Han limpiado cada rincón de la herramienta
- Han reafilado tanto la hoja de la principal navaja recuperando su filo original como de todos los accesorios.
- han repuesto totalmente el alicate dotándolo de uno de los últimos modelos con hojas de corte intercambiables.
- se nota el reajuste de toda la herramienta a su estado de fábrica.
Lo único que se paga es el envío a su servicio técnico, pero volver a ver mi herramienta totalmente operativa y en tan buenas condiciones ha sido una sorpresa nada esperada.
Está herramienta tiene muchas carga sentimental y es justo dar a conocer este maravilloso servicio, ya que el coste de todo lo que le han hecho a la herramienta supera con creces lo que cuesta mandarla.
Son muchos años siendo cliente de Leatherman y por algo es sinónimo de calidad y fiabilidad para los que necesitamos tener una herramienta que cumplas al 200% cuando se la necesita y más aún teniendo detrás este servicio de garantía que he comprobado en persona que es magnífico.
Muchas gracias a todos el equipo de Leatherman por devolverle la vida a mí multiherramienta que tantos años de aventuras me ha dado y me dará.
Poor Company, and poor customer service
Order placed online for 4 units of a letterman tool, it was flagged and I received an email to call customer service. Called in, the info provided on the email was not sufficient to assist, needed me to provide the specific order number that was not included in the email. Found it, and provided it, was then placed on hold for an unreasonable amount of time for some unknown reason to speak with someone else. The next person, asked details of the order. They admitted it was odd for the order to be flagged, since it was for less than 6 units. I was then told the site was for personal purchases only, and apparently less than 6 units is ok. From what I can tell none of these oddball sales restrictions appear on the website. I expressed they wasted my time, and I was upset by the situation. I indicated they should remove the site for ordering if that was a problem. The person helping said they would clear the order with customer service. Later, I received the order was cancelled by my request. That was not the case.
SCAM! Don’t buy anything from this company!
I never received my order and Leatherman even confirmed that my order was not delivered. I expressed that I did not want the product to be redelivered but they have not cancelled the Klarna payment request. No one is responding to any of my emails. This company is a SCAM. Avoid like the plague and take your business elsewhere.
